I have the jig/worm and the drop shoot rods and there r amazing. I just caught a 7lbs 5oz with the drop shoot rod. Thanks Reese for making such great rod
I have the jig/worm rod. This rod is amazing. I like this better than my st croix my st.croix is a great rod too but the tip action is not as soft so i dont land as many fish as my skeet reese rod.
I don't post many comments, but I will for these rods. I was looking at upgrading my cheap set of gear and have been researching rods in this price range. When Dick's Sporting Goods had a buy 2 Skeet rods and get a 3rd free, I jumped on it. Got the drop shot, top water/jerk bait and the bait casting rod. First trip out I caught several fish with at least 1 on each of my new rods. I ended up getting a 2nd top water rod and I love them all. Hook ring below the grip is my only complaint.
I have the swim bait carolina rig 7'6" and like Skeet says, it's a very versitle rod. This rod is great for Ribbit Frogs, Senko's, and Flukes as well. I love this rod and have lots of confidence in it no matter what bait I'm throwing. I bought this rod this March and probably have boated 600 or so bass since then with this one rod some bass up to 7.5 lbs. Yeh it's a tid bit heavy, but if you're in any kind of shape, you'll trade that for a mess of fish any day or start playing pickup sticks.
I have the worm/jig rod. Well I tell you this much....The paint job is cheap. It's not the most resiliant paint job. I bought it just four days ago and I already have two chips on the finish. Peforms great but crappy paint job.
@daboss11111 srry but why would i spend that on a skeet reese when i could buy a veritas or carbonlite for the same price? they are better rods and lighter.
@hardkilla There is much better rods than these for the same price. They might be ok for catfishing but if you cast 100's of times a day they're just too heavy. Mojo is much better for only 10 bucks more. Eagle Claw makes the junkiest rods on earth. This is the first "half ass" rod they ever made.
These rods aren't that great good for spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and cranks. Suck for texas, carolina, and jigging though. (I own 2)
