  • Person who made the poster was an IDIOT

  • Still there, still misspelled June 16 2001. :)

  • @friendofdarwin well spotted lol how long did it take for it to hit home? please tell me peeps have got onto this and done this company over?! thats disrespectful to darwin dude

  • OMG, I've got to get a copy of this poster!

  • Yep, it's still there. Can't read it because the image is tiny, but you can make out 'flavoured' quite clearly :)

  • The poster also has the quote:

"The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind pitiless indifference."

This is actually by Richard Dawkins in his book River out of Eden - not Darwin.

  • Im really glad you figured out that dreamergirl thing too. That was really annoying me when i was trying to figure out what it meant!

  • I have the exact same story about this poster. I bought it a few months ago at my university, and didn't really look at it, and when I was reading it one day, i noticed the problems. I thought it was so hilarious, so I decided to keep it up!

  • I literally burst out laughing at "Flavoured Races."

  • Awesome video, gave me a good giggle! :)

  • Interesting...

Out of curiosity I went to the poster site and was amazed to find posters for the following topics:

Brain Surgery. Citing most brain surgery is performed due to "Dain Bramage".

Masturbation. Citing "masturbation is not cheating if your left hand does not know what your right hand, or vice versa, has been up to."

Do-it-yourself Bible Editing. "8 easy steps for adding, rearranging, and rewriting the Bible to suit your needs."

  • continued

I dont know about the Moon and the Sun, which are the two most important elements of our insignificant existance! Who created that, and why, and why all the destructive phenomena, too! Life is an abnormality in cosmos, and as we know that all life adopts to survive longer and reproduce, we have concluded evolution. Look at black people, EVOLUTION. Look at our hairless bodies:evolution! Look at out faster metabolisms as we survived thanks to body fat back in the ice age...evolution!

  • i don't know what darwin was talking about....i sure as hell didn't evolve from an ape

  • You are an ape.

  • What did you evolve from, then? A vulcano?

Or no, wait, some magical ferry, dressed in jeans snapped its fingers, and your kind was there...then some more snaps, for all the viruses, disease, misery, death, stench, morons like you, fanatics, Gerge Bush, etc..

Smoke a joint, fuck some pussy, write a novel, Just dont embarasse your self with that nonsense; after all, it was the raven that created everything.

  • No, hes saying he hasn't evolved yet and is still an ape.

  • Photoshop and other graphics programs (as useful as they are)have made it so easy to slap together a piece that people don't check their own work. The result of pure laziness.

  • Preservation of FLAVOURED!?

  • Flavoured! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Racist poster designer.

  • hahaha how stupid was the person who made the poster :P

  • The best part is 'flavoured races.' I bet some people wouldn't have noticed those mistakes.

  • Interesting! You should have posted the Google link though (for the dream girl quote)... I went through quite a few sites but didn't find it!

  • xD wtf

  • yes, it does

  • That's great. I cracked up on "flavoured races". I've noticed that a lot of people seem to be doing that. I've argued, via text, with creationists. Many times, they're cutting and pasting their entire argument without even reading or understanding it. Googling one of their sentences can show this.

  • Thats crazy haha.

  • hi, i like dreamer girl your video a lot, it is very dreamer girl interesting, you make a lot dreamer girl of good points, i think you are dreamer girl very intelligent, and you can dreamer girl present your points in a funny way. i apologise for not having written my comment myself, but copy&pasted it from the net instead, but i was too busy. keep thinking

  • NO! Can they be taken to task for that?

  • That's a great idea! I'll have to remember that for next time. Superglue, who would have thought it would be so usefull for nicks and scrapes?

  • importimagesnewyork *dot* k0m *slash* catalog *slash* images *slash* detail *slash* 3616_d *dot* jpg

    replace k0m, dot, and slash...

  • flavoured races..mmmmm....my favorite are the vanilla dogs. That's just sad...really, really sad.

  • Wow.

  • WOW!!!! Where can i get a poster like that?!?! I want one! :-)

  • do you live in Canada???

  • Indeed I do!

  • LOL Flavored Races. Geez...

Makes me wonder if the person designing this poster had some sort of aversion to Darwin, perhaps for religious reasons, and wanted to breeze though the making of the poster as quickly as possible. Maybe the phony quote was added on purpose ... hummm...

  • Shee-ite, as a person working in the publishing industry i'm apalled that someone would be s lax in their work, did they not even re-read for typo's?

  • funny. kudos for saving the poster. i probably would have shredded it in shame upon realizing it's errancy, but it is an interesting artifact, for sure.

  • Flavoured Races? Well Darwin was a member of the gourmet club who loved eating lots of different wierd animals. Either that or Darwin was planning a new book about neopolitan ice cream before he died.

  • I once knew a guy who made his living publishing posters. He was a total wanker.

  • flavoured races, just great.

  • Wow! I'm amazed somebody noticed that! I ran out of bandaids, and besides, electrical tape works much better anyway.

  • That is interesting.

  • Yep, same poster. "THE ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES".

  • What a tragedy...imagine how different his words will be in a hundred years...

  • While the variety of tastes of plants and animals can be easily explained with evolution (palatability providing both evolutionary advantages and disadvantages contingent on other adaptations), I don't remember that Darwin said too much on the matter. Remarkable error on their part. Thanks.

  • Interesting discovery...

    Katalyzt

  • lol that might be worth some money

  • Darwin Rocks
