this is much better than the 767. One day i was on a air canada 767 flight from toronto to vancouver after a flight on a air canada 777 and the 767 seemed to have a very noisy cabin and was much more cramped and felt quite over crowded compared to the 777
It is runway 06L at Toronto Pearson, how do I know this? Well I'm a pilot...lol. They use 06L for departures and 06R for arrivals. It really depends on the wind direction though in the end. Opposite end would be 24L/24R.
this would be the best location to watch planes land since usually the big planes like the A- 340's and the 747's land. However, it doesn't make sense since the runway is shorter than RWY 23 and is a bit risky since its part of airport property and you could be asked by airport officials to leave the area
i remember seeing this air canada boeing 777-300er from the gate window at heathrow up close witht he pilots at the front end and the sheer length of it was just astounding with the length of the plane behind them.
I always wonder how did someone manage to figure out how to keep something that heavy in the sky for like 10 and more hours... I have to thank those smart people :D i weigh 55 Kg and i can't manage to fly and this big heavy bird can :D... i wish i could fly!
Bigger engine gives better fuel economy, cause they can run on lower power settings than a smaller engine powering the same airplane, thus consuming less fuel. That's why Boeing went for the GE90-11B for the 777 ER * Extended Range
Brilliant vid, and the plane is beautiful, they fly these from London(UK) to Canada,as I was looking at flying soon with Air Canada..the other choice of aircraft is the 767-400 for this route..I would def go with the 777-333!! so thanks for letting me see this fantastic piece of tech!!
I love the west bound flights from heathrow to canada. Scenary is amazing on the journey. THe first experience of it is incredible and it felt like a journey in another dimension due to the high altitude.
Whats funny is I am one of the guys that pulls up next to the plane to restock the planes with beverages & meals every time I see a 777 or a 747 etc I wonder if it was me who restocked the aircraft on the video.
i work around those big bird load and unload them all day, 777 is the new best plan out there,, to add to your GE enging facts, this 777 engine, on its lowest setup is much strong the power of a 747 enging and on its highest set up or version of it is double the thrust pounds then the 747 engine.
i love the part in this vid when you see the wings really bend to the pressure of the downforce as it lifts. great video,
check out my cheesy blackberry shot of the A380 landing
@BeanerIsland yep...I'm serious.. look it up "Boeing 777 engines" = However, the comparison becomes even more incredible if we consider the new General Electric GE-90-115B turbofans that will be fitted on the latest long-range 777-200LR and 777-300ER models. This engine is the largest and most powerful turbofan built to date, being some 11 ft 3 in. in diameter. In this case, the 737 cabin is a mere 3% wider than the 777 engine.
Enroute to Frankfurt? Did this flight less then a month after your recording, on the 4th of July. Best plane in the sky today, made by the best aircraft company.
I was on an Air Canada Boeing 777 in 2008...it was a great flight :)
