This is high end classic rock. Everything Boston, for example, ever did, goes back to these guys. Harmony lead guitar before most of the "artists" ever even freamed of it. Poco like harmonies. It gets rarely better than this.

Wow ... wrong. Orleans' first album was released in 1976, the same year as Boston's first. However, Tom Scholz wrote most of its songs several years earlier -- before WAKING AND DREAMING or this song ever existed.

Moreover, plenty of artists used “harmony lead guitar” before this album came out. Brian May, Styx, Genesis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ritchie Blackmore, the Allman Brothers, the Eagles and Kansas all come to mind. They all “dreamed of it” before John Hall did.
