"Mach 1" is so much lower than speed of light), but sadly, the video cuts off before the sound reaches the point from where it's filmed. I think you are familiar with how lightning and thunder also don't "happen" at the same time (unless you are hit by it), and you can determine (roughly) how far away the lightning strikes by measuring the time between lighting and thunder then multiplying by speed of sound.

That Test drop was not done in Iraq. It was done In a MOA at Eglin Air Force Base FL. No Massive Ordinance Air Blast (MOAB) weapons were ever detonated in Iraq.

It served as a psycological weapon against Iraqi's taking up arms against Coalition forces.
