I put Dressed to Kill on the stereo, turned it up real loud... So much raw power there, but so musical too, such was the chemistry among those four guys that what they produced was a masterpiece! Sonic Boom was one of the worst records KISS have ever put out. Revenge was the last great album KISS made...Sonic Boom is a squeaky fart compared to that record.

Why is it a top rated review? Because KISS fans felt it was more accurate than a dozen other reviews full of deluded bullshit about what a great album it was.

Comparing Sonic Boom to Love Gun and Creatures Of The Night? Those classic albums are way, WAY above Sonic Boom.

The fact is, there have been plenty of less than stellar reviews of Sonic Boom...and in a couple of years, the songs from that album will disappear from the band's live set, and all the morons who hyped it up when it was first released will go quiet. Wait and see.

I never once said it was their best album, but it's in my Top 6 so calm your shiza! :p And maybe MDD will stay and SY also, but that's fine if those are they only ones left. Creatures is one of their best albums and has zero songs in the setlist, and besides Dr. Love...RARO has no songs in there either. So it's all good :)

While you bring up some valid points, I don't think anyone has a problem with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, or even Vinnie or Mark St. John. What people have a problem with is what they feel to be sacrelige against the original idea of the band. Nobody else would be up on stage in Gene's makeup singing 'God of Thunder'. So why is it OK for Tommy Thayer to basically pretend he's Ace? I cheer KISS for their continuance. I boo them for their poor decision to crap all over their own legacy.
