you guys are dumb.just because the film dint win and you guys are saying the academy is homophobic.please brokeback was totally overrated,it was a good film but the ending was a piece of shit 2 men who cant express there felling are forever stuck in there boring lifes...
Every aspect of this movie came together like the perfect storm. The original story and then the script which stayed so true to the story. The time was right for the actors. Ang Lee. The music.... and aching hearts for the just such a message.

I remember when this came out and a girl asked me if I was going to see it. I told her no and she asked 'what, because it's two guys?' I said "no because it's a love story, and I don't watch love stories; just never been into them that much.

Very nicely done. "Brokeback Mountain" has moved me like no other film, and it always will. It's comforting to see all the accolades that it garnered listed in one place. I was so disgusted that the Academy wimped out and did not award it the Oscar it so deserved. This listing proves what hypocrites are in the Academy. How sad that Heath is not here to see the ongoing praise and love and appreciation being heaped on the film and his work in it. He will be missed.

Exceptional. This film will be remembered by me as long as I breathe, because it touched my life and so did with many other people's lives. It showed us once more that love is unique, it's the root where human life means and it should be lived and respected.
Thanks to Ang Lee for his rare work.
To all the cast and crew engaged, and especially to the one who unfortunately and unfairly isn't any more among us Heath Ledger for his courageous and magnificent performance.
We too are now left with the memories of a legendary person who touched us all in a way that we shall never ever forget for the rest of our lives. We hold on to our movie, our pictures of Heath, and Ennis and his Jack Twist and say as our hearts break, just as Ennis did, "Heath, I swear..." Thank you Heath, for coming to us, before it was too late. "Go rest high on that mountain. Son, your work on earth is done"
I like to thin kof my self as brokeback mountains biggest fan... it is my life and i worship it and never dount it being the greaatest movie ever made and of our time.. its absolutly fantastic and shows everyone a great storyline and especially a great performance with some truley magnificent actors...
its breath taking and i shall never stop loving it and all its acheivements
I've seen this clip before, and I may have said it earlier, but I just want to repeat: this is a beautiful tribute to a unique movie. It leaves many viewers, gay or straight, with warmth in
how the feck crash won best movie i'll never know!!! brokeback should have won eeeeeeeeeeeeeeasily! gorgeous film, so heart-wrending and powerful, just listening to the music and seeing those stills chokes me up...praise be to all those involved for giving us this beautiful beautiful film
After more than a year, having watched this beautiful love story so many times, I'm still amazed the effect it still has on me and so many other people. It sure was a Masterpiece. Heath Ledger was Magnificent.
Definatelly a ground-breaking-shoving-every-gay-stereotype-out-the-window film. The Best Story, the depth of the characters, the music, the outstanding direction, cinematography, performances I've seen in 2005. I will remember this film forever in my heart, like millions of other people around the world.
You have expressed our gratitude beautifully. It is now up to the world to keep this message positive and the momentum will give a voice for those whose lives have been touched or even changed by this powerful film. It is in the spirit of Brokeback our inspirations will be pure and the message will transcend all boundaries. Special thanks for all the actors for having the courage to take on such a monumental task of becoming the story. No ones efforts will be forgotten.
such a shame it did not win best picture. i loved "crash" and i'm not mad that it won. it was one of the best films of all-time! but BB was also one of the greatest film ever and truly something unique and just so, so very special!
I was moved to tears. A millions thanks for making this video. I turely wish to see the day when ignorance and prejudice end in this world. I wish there will be no more people having to endure that as well.
Wonderful tribute to an excellent film. On all levels, Brokeback is tribute to old fashion storytelling and realistic, powerful filmmaking. I'm so glad it has been acknowledged by so many awards and audiences alike. I'm not even gay, but I really related to this film. Excellent tribute to a masterpiece.

Perfect. Thank You. Here in Brazil we are simply shocked that BBM didn't win the best picture. But it's forever a winner for us! So many prizes it DID win. So many hearts it DID touch...
Brokeback was a VERY slow movie and the dialogue was pure torture. Cinemaphotography was excellent and Lee did a good job, but it was no where near the best movie.
Thank you for this great tribute. Truly this movie is more than all the awards it has received, even as impressive as they are, because of the way it touches lives. Thank you again.
I want to thank you for making this and giving it the dignity it deserves. I was reduced to tears. It was and is one of the best films I have ever seen. Not only for it's simple content, but for the way the film was laid out.It made you question it and yourself at every turn and drew you in and made you part of the movie too.It will always have a special place in my heart. The Academy may not have found this the best of 2005, but for me it was the best film made, so far this century.
Thank you for making that. It brought a tear to my eye. To comment on what someone else said, "take away the gay aspect of BBM, and its just another love story". This film is far from just another love story. Gay, Lesbian, Bi or straight, this film is far more than your average love story. This film makes you think and stays with you for a long time. It's a shame that there are still so many close-minded people that can't open their eyes and see this film for what it truly means.
Thanks for this, I think a lot of people (myself included) needed to be reminded that at least we still love this movie no matter what happened at the Oscars. This was beautiful!
I'm not so imressed as you. During the first 5 minutes they didn't say a word. Some scenes were disgusting. Maybe I'm not sensitive but for me it's just a film. Music is good, actors too (mmm, Heath, Jake :)) Whatever...
wow sloopy (post above mine) that's AWESOME.. praise God, and God bless the poor young gays, who suffer great turmoil because of what's shoved down their throats daily by a mean world. Jesus is love... 4ever. BBM ROCKS!
I work with gay suicidal and depressed youth, many are Christians. This video will bring tears to their eyes as it has mine because they will know that the prejudice they experience in the name of God will someday come to an end.
