  • oh im a bit scared to do this now lol

  • OMG YOU SHOULD MAKE ONE OF THESE GUYS A ROBOT FOR LIFE his wife would love it lol :3

  • Thanks for subscribing--Welcome aboard!

  • I have tried this on my friends but it never works. Help!

  • Hypnosis appears quite easy on the surface, but there is more going on than just words and gestures. In order to do hypnosis successfully, you must be able to estabilsh appropriate understanding and expectation in your volunteers, and you must know how to make appropriate adjustments in your inductions for each person you hypnotize.

In order to learn this, I recommend that you study hypnosis thoroughly. You won't succeed merely by imitating a hypnotist if you don't understand the princepals.

  • kc with all do respect i think hypnosis is dangerous becuase some people will be turned in to mental slaves.

  • Hypnosis requires concentration. By being hypnotized, you learn to strengthen your concentration and to use your mind more effectively for things you want to accomplish (self-improvement, personal and professional goals, sports performance, scholastic performance, etcetera). Hypnosis is not mind control. Hypnosis is not brainwashing. It cannot turn a person into a mental slave. Such things exist only on TV and in the movies.

  • I am 13 and have attempted some Rapid induction on my friends and so far it has been quite successful. Can I just ask, is it more important to keep your voice firm and demanding or soothing and relaxing. Different vids say different things... I'm baffled : /

  • Which voice type to use depends on intent and personal style. Stage hypnotists tend toward an authoritive approach. Clinical hypnotists tend toward a quieter approach. However, as long as you use your voice in a natural way that is comfortable for you (not straining your voice), then either approach is acceptable. Actually, the construction of your suggestions and your patter are far more important than the sound of your voice.

  • Thank you :D

  • i feel so relaxed watching your videos

  • can you hypnotize people that are asleep

  • Yes, you can hypnotize sleeping people, but it would be considered unethical to do so without consent.

Any time you use hypnosis under unethical circumstances, you risk a variety of results ranging from severely damaging rapport to experiencing an overtly violent reaction by the the person you attempted to hypnotize.

Do not attempt to hypnotize anyone from whom you did not receive consent.

  • im starting in hypnosis and i already now lots about instent inductions like you need to do something to get there mind at that high point of suggestability and then tell them to sleep but do u got any pointers for me befor i try somen like this

  • I recommend that before you attempt instant inductions:

    1. Study the basics of hypnosis until you understand how various longer inductions are used correctly, how to safely use suggestions and how to ethically conduct hypnosis sessions.

    2. Be able to induce the state of hypnosis using longer inductions (progressive relaxation, Elman, etcetera) easily, successfully, and consistently.

  • lol, and here I was doing just what I see in the videos to my sister. Needless to say, it didn't work out. ;D

  • What you've experienced is a lesson many new hypnotists eventually learn.

Although some inductions might occasionally work just by copying a script or a video, you'll generally find that your success rate will be low when attempting to do hypnosis without having learned the reasons why various techniques work.

  • Does that induction with the person touching their hand to their face work while they are awake and alert?

  • Yes, this hand-to-face induction works very well as an inital induction (from the waking state).

As long as the preparation for the induction is correct, then every induction method I have demonstrated in my videos can be used as an initial induction.

Some hypnotists combine the pattern interrupt handshake induction with a hand-to-face induction as an initial, rapid induction.

  • What's a preparation for an induction?

  • In simple terms, preparation is the means by which you help your client become ready to enter a state of hypnosis.

Preparation is a multifaceted process that either can be accomplished immediately or can require a longer process*. It involves rapport, expectation, understanding, etcetera.

*--NOTE: The type of induction (for example instant versus progressive relaxation or other conventional inductions) does not necessarily dictate the time required for preparation.

  • To clarify what I wrote above:

It might take a few seconds to several minutes to build the proper rapport (among other things) to get a new client ready to enter hypnosis with either a rapid or a conventional induction.

  • how to they come bak to normal?

as in like how do the people ""exit"" the hypnotized stage?

  • By giving clear instructions, the hypnotist guides the client out of the state of hypnosis when it's time to end the hypnosis/hypnotherapy session.

  • YES my favorite induction is the Eriksonian Arm Levitation Induction. I also like the Induction where they put their arm out palm facing them. As the hand draws closer to their face finally touching their face the eyes close. For testing I like Eye, & Rigid Arm Catalepsy, and the 11 Finger Test "Simple Amnesia".
