I have two theories to explain skunk ape sightings in Florida. Firstly, it's some prankster dressed in a monkey suit. Secondly, what people are seeing are escaped orangutans, either from labs, private zoos or kept illegally as pets and the owners dumped them in the Everglades, just like all those enormous pythons we keep hearing about. My land backs up to a national park in Georgia. One afternoon, after I heard something in the bushes on the west side of the house, I assumed some animal trying to get into the trash. I smelled something god-awful. It was like skunk + feces + mud. I went back inside for gloves, and went back out. The smell was still there, not as strong. It dissipated within an hour—and skunk smells don't go away in 30-45 minutes! The bushes next to the lawn were damaged to boot. Still can't figure that one out.

ld, smashed the front of the car so bad both tires could not rotate and we skid out before stopping...I immediately exited the car to see what we had hit....It was gone. Huge enough to be hit head on and still escape, quickly. There was no blood on our car, but there was a significant amount of dirt/mud and numerous black hairs. I have these hairs if anyone is willing to get them analyzed and pay for it they are more than welcome....I would feel better knowing it was a bear, but i doubt it is

According to this video and the testimonies in it, it is definately NOT sighted only by "liars, drunks, and losers". If you go to the BFRO website which is bfro dot net, on the front page there's a big photo of Patty (the Sasquatch in the Patterson-Gimlin footage) and on that photo are the words "wasn't all this shown to be fake?". Click on that and I think you'll be turned into a believer.

Use caution when outdoors", "Be on the look-out for escaped gorrilla" etc. A missing one was not currently reported when this video was shown, and I'd imagine the zookeepers and rangers at a natural reserve would keep a close eye on something so potentially dangerous.

As Patty walks, you can see the muscles moving in her enormous thigh, including a herniated one. There's no man on earth with thigh muscles as big as Patty's are. Her feet have no hair, just like any primate, she has breasts like a female primate, and hair on the buttocks because she walks upright so she doesn't scut around on it like other primates do.

@maggie2941 As for it being "photoshopped", that's the most hilarious attempt at debunking I've ever heard. Patterson and Gimlin had been in that area for weeks. They had found footprints, heard low-pitched howls, and knew a Sasquatch was near. They filmed it in 1967. No technology existed then to fake such a figure, much less photoshop one. There was no CGI, so even if it WAS photoshopped in, it still couldn't be a man in a costume because of the evidence in my other reply.

When he said smaller he meant as in not as heavy and bulky. It is more of a wirey version of the Pacific Northwests Sasquatch which would make it better suited to negotiate swampy terrains than a thicker heavier animal. This would be a function of the natural variability of nature. Shealys story has never changed, and he has always said the creature in his footage to have been six and a half to seven feet tall.

I could tell by this guy's facial expression and the tone of his voice as he spoke. He was a definite liar.
