Chemo in most cases CAUSES leukemia. Dr. Burzynski has found a new strain of peptides found in healthy people which are missing from cancer patients. He has made his own medication, legally, and it cures 25% of all cancer. Chemo offers only a 9% chance of survival. Dr. Burzynski's patients live normal lives after treatment, whereas Chemo patients suffer.
And how do you think I can prevent brain cancer. Not to be born? Being healthy have nothing to do with preventing brain cancer. It's a genetic disease or expose to too much radiations. If it's a miracle and God saved her three times but why did God put the tumor in there three times in the first place? Don't get me wrong I do think cancers are bad but it's a waste of money to donate to organizations bec none of them can cure shit, all they can research on is how to "treat" things.
I´m sad to hear all of this. My brother got diagnoused with brain cancer six months ago and recently he got very sick. Today the doctor let us know that he has only 4-5 weeks left to live. He´s 32 years old. My brother :(

Stop eating animal products you guys....they stimulate the prostate gland and we eat waaaaaay too many animal products on a daily basis.....things have changed dramatically in the last 100 years.....you don't need to have this disease...you can heal no problem:) ( plant based diet.we are herbavores....not carnivores or canibals ) Check out Healing Cancer from the Inside Out, the Gerson Therapy, Food That Kills by Michael Klapper, and John McDougall's video on the perils of dairy. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I am glad that your mom is one of the few who survived this horror. If anybody else is going through this, I urge you to seek alternatives to Modern Medicine's approach to curing cancer. I can't get into details why. But an approach for a cure using Nutrition has been better and it doesn't make you sicker if you try it first. I have learned this from personal experience.
My ten year old sister has been diagnosed with stage three brain cancer. It started in august when she had a seizure, and the doctors found the source was a tumor. They had a surgery to remove the tumor and thought that got all of it, however in a biopsy of the tumor the found it was cancer and that the cells were so microscopic that they couldn't leave it to chance. it doesen't really matter if you dont drink, smoke, or take drugs. It can happen to anyone. And you are an amazing human being and your i am so mezmerized by your mothers strength.
Its curious how people care about a cause only AFTER it affects them. Mom gets cancer & THEN you try to raise awareness. Christopher Reeve only cared about spinal cord injures AFTER a horse threw him. It just casts a shadow of selfishness over the effort.
Plus surviving 3 procedures each with a 1.5% chance of survival ISN'T a miracle; it's around 1/333,333. Quick side note, can people stop saying some one "beat cancer". No one beats cancer, cancer just takes a coffee break.
You have a horrible view of life, Of course your going to get involved when someone you know get that sick, and to say to people they don't beat cancer just because you want to be an asshole is just so fucking mean, I feel bad for you that you look at life like that, People sure as hell can beat the crap out of the devil called cancer, If I ever get it I'm gonna destroy that mother fucker that's atleast how I look at life
What are you, some kind of fucking jackass? What, you think it's funny to dismiss people wanting to make a difference?
Tell me, what the FUCK are YOU doing to make a difference, huh? What are YOU raising awareness for, huh? You're criticising Kirsten, but what the fuck are you doing?
Selfish you say? Kid, you wanna try LIVING with the day-to-day trauma of Brain Cancer before you start talking about "selfish" you fucking donkey.
Let's hope YOU never fall ill huh? Who's gonna care? No one
No it's funny, cancer is sad. However that doesn't change the validity of my observation on what it takes PERSONAL GAIN for people to care. The gain could be emotional like this woman or physical/health like Michael J Fox.
I never claimed to make a difference, efforts on my part would be independent of my point. Same goes for my health; if I had brain cancer myself would you suddenly agree with my view? Doubt it.
Just because my comment is unpopular doesn't means it's not true. Get over it.
I too know what it's like to have a family member with this terrible disease. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in May of 2006 and died 6 weeks later on July 4th. Just 6 weeks after she was diagnosed. I miss her as much today as I did the day she went home. I will pray for your mom as well as you. Hang in there. Believe in Him.
I'm sorry to hear that it's really hard to see a loved suffer but I still believe that God is the Ultimate Healer and that there is nothing impossible to Him just believe in Him.
I am sorry to hear of your mothers diagnosis. I to understand how you feel. I lost my daughter age of 3 years old to Medulloblastoma brain cancer in May of 2008. I have been on a journey to find some way to raise awarness I commend you for your post!
You have such a nice smile. I am glad that you posted this video. It makes me feel good inside to see beautiful people working to help others feel good too.
My Aunt who was 50 years old was diagnosed with brain cancer at the end of august 2008. They suspect and I assume still arent quite sure if it started there or in her lungs. She passed just last month on October 30th 2008. Its happens so fast. My prayers go out there to all those going thought what me and my family has. God bless you all!
hello, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer 3 days ago ... It is crazy. She just had surgery and has trouble with spelling, writing and speech. In the next 2 weeks, they say she will regain those skills ... then the radiation and chemo and the hope begins ... those that read this and know of someone who is WINNING or who has WON their battle, please reply to this post. There are always stories of people living 15 YEARS after brain cancer ... so there is hope!
hi my mum has the same type of braincancer, glioblastoma multiforme in the 4th degree.she was to old for chemo or surgery, had radiation therapy but our time together is limited..
what can I say..it s a horrible disease. I know how it feels
Very sorry that this has happened. I lost my brother this April to a brain tumor. He battled this for nearly three years and died at the age of 49. I agree. brain cancer seems to be a silent topic. I feel your pain. The drug AVASTIN did shrink my brothers tumor by 50% . Has that been used on your mother?
I just lost my best friend to brain cancer,, and even though it will come too late for him all I want is to find a cure so nobody has to go through the pain me and my friends are going through R.I.P. Ricky I love you boyy. We have rasied a bunch of money to give toward brain tumor awareness since he was diagnoesed
My mom was 35 when she was first diagnosed with brain cancer. They did surgery and couldnt get everything without messing up her brain. She went to kimo and radiation for about a month and God healed her of it completely now 5 years later it came back...this time it was fatal. She was 40. It broke my heart seeing her go through all the pain and suffering. She left behind a son who was 11, a daughter 14, husband, both parents, 3 sister one of which was he twin, and many many more family members!
Thank you so much Kristen!!! I will post this on my website for the awareness walk in Manhattan. I myself survived 3 years ago at 17 years old and I am trying my best. Contact me if you would like to look into starting a foundation or working with one. Thank you!
My mother has a glioblastoma multiforme on her brain. It was removed, but the nature of the tumor makes it able to come back. Like it happenning at this momment.
We are making a lotta research to get treatments, even experimentals, at the point that we found this GEMM treatment on Turkey and we are considering taking her there. We dunno if we can afford it, or what we might expect over there, but we are going to face whatever cost to help her in case that there's nothing to do in USA.
thats excactly what happened to my sisters fiance he found out he got when he was 18ys old he didnt smoke drink do drugs or anything but the cancer sperad through his entire body and he has just recently past.
Thanks for sharing this video, my best friends mom struggled with brain cancer for years until this past February when she passed away. The family made a small non-profit organization called Felicia's Blankets in her memory, but I'm not sure how you could get involved... our school's humanitarian club has been helping make blankets along with the family and has been sending them to local hospitals.
first posting from LAAFinc: Thank you for sharing your story about such a devastating disease.Blessings to your Mom. My sister also battled brain cancer(GBM)for 22 mths and bravely endured 5 surgeries, clinical trials, chemo, radiation, etc. She lost her fight 7-5-05 at age 35.She wanted to make a difference so to honor her wishes we started LAAF:Lori Arquilla Andersen Foundation for Brain Cancer Awareness,a 501c3 non profit.visit LAAFinc. org.We are small but have made big changes! We have been worki

We have been working with Congress to make the month of MAY: National Brain Tumor Awareness Month. We have been invited to speak in DC April 23rd,2008 and hope to have the bill passed in time for this May.We also work with Dr. Raizer at Northwestern Univ in Chicago and the Brain Tumor Research Fund.We keep moving forward trying to make a difference.
I am a 22 year old brain cancer survivor (i hope so still...). I would love to see foundation started for any of us going through the process. I suffer at my age all with surgery, radiation and chemo - and the sounds of it your mom has too - anything I can do to help...I want people to be more aware and to know that we can beat brain "can'tcer" just as we can beat the others types. God Bless
You totally remind me of myself at that time so this vid touched me on a personal level. I know how hard it can get. But it totally changes your view of life and puts things into perspective. Good luck!
can I ask what kind of tumor she had? My dad had glioblastoma multiforme and I think that is what you're talking about. The one that doesn't get enough attention because doctors think they're hopeless cases. He died 5 yrs ago and went through 2 operations. He got pretty bad in the end too. It is possible to survive it though, I'm sure that the healthy lifestyle has helped your mom this far. Keep up the good work!
Hey, that was a really touching video and you must be so strong to be able to cope with this. Good luck in your quest to make brain cancer more aware in the public eye and in helping to raise funds. I hope every day you have together will be a great day, keep your strength up girl and god bless you!
thats sounds exactly what happend to my dad. he had brain cancer and survived 2 years went through 5 operations and the doctors didant even excpect him to get through one and almost on the 3rd year it finally took over he forgot my name and my moms name he was the principle of my schoool..he had to retire early he forgot HISS schools name and ganed alot of wait from the medecine and became a diffrent person but i loved him soo much and i love ur video cuz thats exactly what needs to happen ..:))
I also recommend you check out Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. ABC2 cuts through red tape and gets money to the researchers who are really committed to finding better treatments and a cure. It was founded by Dan Case, who succumbed to GBM about 6 years ago, but like you, he wanted to do anything he could to prevent someone else from having to live with this terrible disease. God bless you and your family.
My husband is also fighting brain cancer. Why not contact the National Brain Tumor Foundation and join forces with them rather than start another foundation that would compete? NBTF is a great organization and already does a lot of fund raising. I agree that brain cancer needs a lot more attention because it's so deadly.
I know what you are going through...my aunt at 42 died just yesterday of brain cancer. thank you for your efforts to find a cure to this terrible sickness
It is crazy that you can get cancer even if you are healthy, my old store manager died six years ago from lung cancer and he never smoked or did anything bad like that, he hung on for three years before passing when doctors gave him one year, so lets hope your mom can hang on as long as she can. Good luck on your quest.
I agree 100%. I was diagonosed with a rare BT and am a survior. At the time of diagnose I was a fit 28 year old. Here in Aust it is the same, publicity and fundraising goes to Breast Cancer. If this leads to a cure of all cancers that would be great. BT's are a devistating disease, esp towards children and it deserves more recognition and support. One day hopefully people will recognise that it is not a disease caused by cell phones but a cancer that can strike anyone, anytime, good luck.
Kristen,I lost my mom 3yrs ago to brain cancer it was the hardest and most painful experience of my life she was also my best friend my thoughts and prayers go out to you
kristen my dad has brain cancer & they think he only has 3 months left :[ i'm glad to hear your mom is doing well. as long as you, your family, & your mom stay strong things will continue to be positive :] i hope it all works out for the best ♥
I had an aunt die of breast cancer. So I know the pain that cancer can cause to loved ones. I don't know of anyone who I can contact to help out except for God who is more than capable of healing the cancer in your mother's brain. Know that there are people out there who really care and are praying for you and your mom. May God do a miracle for her.

No one
SheikhMaNuggets 2 years ago

I'm sorry to hear that it's really hard to see a loved suffer but I still believe that God is the Ultimate Healer and that there is nothing impossible to Him just believe in Him.

hello, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer 3 days ago ...

My mom was 35 when she was first diagnosed with brain cancer. They did surgery and couldnt get everything without messing up her brain. She went to kimo and radiation for about a month and God healed her of it completely now 5 years later it came back...this time it was fatal. She was 40. It broke my heart seeing her go through all the pain and suffering. She left behind a son who was 11, a daughter 14, husband, both parents, 3 sister one of which was he twin, and many many more family members!
