...and picking up odd character, unless you're a pro looking for a challenge or understand completely the game's engine/matchups like jwong, yeb, and the pro's; is just stupid, most of the times scrubs do it just to justify their lack of skills blaming the "weak/odd" character they choose, and yes Sf4=main rufus/abel, sf3rd=dudley, but first i went trhu ryu, ken, akuma, then started picking up new characters

the last two comments sound very scrubish, of course ryu is an easy character to use but first it doesn't have the advantage all the time (sagat's fireballs are faster, ken's srk hits multiple, his ultra's weak damage, recovery time after sweep is slow, and so on) my point is that ryu is easier to use to allow the newcomers to pick him up and learn how to play sf, but what the pro's do is master him. Ryu is more of an all-around character, that doesn't mean he's always in advantage...

Between having people cheering for your opponent, your opponent himself throwin how bad he's kickin your ass in your face and the high stakes of these matches it can really mess with your head during a match I would think. I understand where your coming form but still. turtling is too good in this game. in turbo you could rush down and force the fight, in sf4 you will die most of the time doing this, or if you win he took alot of bar off of you. With the stage being so big and not alot of big chip dmg moves its to easy to turtle. Just compare it to super turbo which imo is a superior game. idk maybe i just need to get with the times LOL.
