you don't need nitric acid for mekp, I spose it's to make AN from ammonia... try looking for a PH adjuster though, also photographic developing chemicals and electroplating supplies.
@slither888 i found is very easy to make homemade nitric acid... very low concentration, but very cheap and will do for making AN... if you live in a country not hard to get the ammonia...
NH4NO3 made from [NH4]2SO4 or NH4OH and HNO3..nice though..u should buy some NM works a treat as ANNM likewise UNNM. :)..wish i could get barrels of h2so4 and hno3 like u..dreams.
Made by neutralizing HNO3 with NH4OH, IMO if you've got the HNO3 to spare it's the best method, I got 120g of NH4NO3 from 100ml of HNO3, with no by products other than water, which obviously is easy to evaporate away. With the [NH4]2SO4 method you have to separate the SO4 of whatever nitrate salt you use from you NH4NO3. I might try ANNM, though this was really just an experiment to test my NH4NO3.
haven't tried annm..i have tried UNNM which is reasonably similar and it packs quiet a punch. u should make a few kg if u have the amount of hno3 u have.
