Ahem. The video is actually great, really. Though I don't this it fits the song that much. Imho, the clip has to seem sad, to show about the last words of a man gathered in a videotape, but with a more or less happy ending. In the video, it seems to me that it shows creation into a lifeless area, but in the end the magic is pretty much destroyed by the videotape, and so by the human being. I'm just thinking that Videotape speaks about the exact opposite.

Those of you saying you don't feel anything aren't finishing the video. After all of the beautiful shapes and surreal warping "tentacles" which emerge from a seemingly dull and lifeless car garage, we see that it's all been caught on tape. And damn good thing because no one would believe it ever happened, otherwise (which is kind of the point of the Radiohead song). Sorry, but I had to say something as I was completely blown away by this video; bravo to the directors.

i've noticed a lot of peoples opinions being thumbed down because they didnt like the video.

...it's not amazing, people. c'mon. the song is beautiful.. but i'm pretty sure the animators didn't spend AGES on this. maybe on one of the scenes. but it's just so simple and it doesn't carry any meaning whatsoever.

This is my favourite out of all the winners. This person was different, they took something ordinary and made it beautiful, and interesting, I loved the realism, architecture, and colour play. All around a brilliant job.

If the purpose of this video was to show how inanimate objects and settings can be personified to contain human-esque characteristics, 03:14 - 03:44 should've been exactly what this video contained - the car park coming to life. When the directors contained scenes like that, it was beautiful.

Most was just 3D effects made with a rendering program, superimposed over car park footage. That didn't do anything for me - it was like the alive bits were distinctly seperate to their surroundings.

ive just watched this video whitout sound, dont have any here. first it looked like some one was just trying out some fancy 3d effects.. but at 3:10 and from 3:58 on the video really started to breath a stillness.

I agree with Slowtoise, a video should give you an added layer to the song.. it wasn't quite there.

The first time I REALLY listened to Videotape, it made me sob. I was expecting the video to do the same.

But I suppose Videotape is such a beautiful song in itself that the video should draw attention to the song, and it did that. I particularly liked the surveillance camera at the end, that made it worth it.

Didn't quite fit my interpretation. I couldn't have made any better though.
