I'm pretty certain that Heenan was setting things up for some type of clever upside down joke by asking if "66" was Gretzky's old number, but Tenay and the other commentator were too dumb to be able to correct him. Instead, they actually agreed with him, proving they haven't even the most general ounce of sports knowledge.
@HazardX1989 Brock Lesnar in his WWE days did that same clothesline in a match with Mark Henry. I wonder if he ever saw Goldberg matches and was influenced by his work.
@DahStoryTella Of course he did...Goldberg was a SHITTY worker compared to Hall, Hennig, Dean Malenko ect. ect....Scott should have beat Bill for the belt...
@Nwildchild Only thing ridiculous is you calling someone else ridiculous when it made perfect sense in 1998. Sometimes it is better not to comment on things.
i was in high school soakin all this shit up !! OMG !! listen to the crowd when the music stops. ray traylor is smiling cause the crowd is going ape shit !! i was in my room going crazy !!! Hahahahahahahaha !
i remember this fight and saying the same thing...is that big boss man...boss man was 1 of the toughest wrestlers around in the 80's,90's and 2001 era...more less his whole career huh!
Goldberg's overrated as a wrestler, but the man was and still is a freak of nature in terms of strength, and his spear rapes Edge's in every shape, way and form.
there was something about wcw that was incredible..the matches werent always long and didnt always have a crap load of story but it was something unique and awesome. The atmosphere the stage music, stars! Nothin will ever be like it. TNA is trying it just isnt working. They need more wrestlers and more credible wcw stars. Hello Bagwell? Norton? Bring back Disco!DDP? Maybe? Stevie Ray? Anyone! Bring back Konnan and let him freakin wrestle this time! It will never be WCW but its def tryin to be
@PeekaPeep ALL RESPECT TO HIM. R.I.P. "BIG-BOSS MAN". A GREAT ENTERTAINER, AND A GREAT PERFORMER IN THE RING, AND AS I LIKE TO SAY IT AT THIS TIME IN THE---(WRESTLING WORLD)--THEY MADE IT LOOK REAL, AND I MEAN REAL. GREAT MATCH FOR BOTH, BUT I REALLY LIKED GOLDBERG'[S STYLE, AND HIS TENACITY.
Always liked Bossman ( Ray traylor, big bubba). Guy was always full of energy. R.I.P. Goldberg was pretty sick at this time. I notice the Goldberg chant hadnt started yet. I think it started at the Great American Bash 98.
