Why'd it surprise you? ASTRO BOY IS JAPANESE. I should calm down before this movie pisses me off again... But I WILL tell you. Astro Boy's ORIGINAL name is ATOMU (pronounced in English as "Atom"). Shin Tetsuwan Atomu was the title of the show before America first dubbed it over in the 60's. I went to see this movie as a huge fan of the cartoons, expecting alot, and I was LET DOWN. I just like it for the cute animation style and Freddie Highmore.
