Well actually thebiggestRIOT this one's is a slightly different transient version then the original track from Fort Minor Remember The Name,.. We did enhance the beginning violins at the intro with our own violins track then added the sexy jazz saxophone at the very end. Also we did boosted up a more sharper drum beats w/no breed-through and change the attacks to fall back some,.. without using any dirty invert tricks,.. Its only by default if you see the "watch in high quality" link at the bottom of the video.

If you want your video to be available in high quality and get that "watch in high quality" link on YOUR video, all you have to do is convert your into a AVI (XVID Codec) video and dimensions of 640 x 480 or anything higher than 640 x 480.

This work. All my newer videos are available in high quality but they are 720 x 480. Thats my proof that my formula works.

I forgot to add that you just have to do this the one time. Most videos play clearer now.

If you have a fast computer go to where it says account at the top of the page and click, then go to video playback quality which is under Account and click, then click on the third choice and save settings, this helped mine.

it'll stay play regular if you click on a regular video regardless. putting &fm=18 is the only way to make regular vids play better not just the ones that give you the option to play in HD

Ive known about this trick for a few weeks, over at the videohelp forum we discovered this and now SMPfilms is giving the credit to iGianMC? Well atleast he now mentions the forum on his video description as he did not find this! I had videos with this trick 2 weeks ago until my account got closed (because I uploaded Hulk and Speed Racer trailer in HD, dunno why as alof of ppl still have them?) I made this account on the 11th march and still had HD vids, now I got better HD vids with stero sound

For presumably historical reasons, YouTube uses Sorenson Spark, which is basically h.263 and is rather outdated - not to mention that h.263 was really aimed at videoconferencing. (The main reasons are probably that for a while it was the only thing available everywhere, and until Flash added support for h.264 it was the only codec available for Flash use unless you were willing to pay On2 Technologies through the nose for a VP6 encoder.) YUP just stay in their spec by using H.264 and

upload at 640x480 then your viDs should get the HQ link at the bottom option also by using greasemonkey script (meaning) if the user doesn't have their viDs setup by default. Stage6 = 17.1 MB Vimeo = 13.6 MB YouTube (HD) = 25.4 MB YouTube (normal) = 6.7 MB Oh, and &fmt=18 does not play the high-quality video, exactly but not as high quality as the &fmt=6 parameter,.. That's not true. It depends on the format you upload if the format 18 version will be higher quality than the format 6 version.

Please don't be too honoured, I'm just another almost 42 years young human being. ;-)

There are some telling things I've detected on fmt 18 content; One is their original date of encoding. The vids with mono yet two channel audio (those we first found) had a rather old creation date. Seems Google encoded those half a year ago. The new stereo ones however were created as of March, old uploads are being re-encoded to that still as we speak. That fact is giving me the impression fmt 18 will stay.
