The Amp was a Original Fender Reissue, but I changed the Chassis wih a hand made clone from Bootleg amps in Norway. The Frontplate is therefore original reissue.
What was the volume on the amp set at? And what kind of guitar are you playing?? Sounds cool, but I think you should have done two seperate demos for each piece of gear. IMHO. I dig the bb. I looking for the smothest sounding od and so far the bb rules. Rock on
@Panchee123 Have you ever heard of Stevie Ray Vaughn?? It depends on the blues application. Some songs have to have subtle licks, and others need a kick in ass!! Rock on
IM a Marshall guy and that sounds really nice, try some different preamp tubes to smooth the rolloff, mullards or telefunkens would give it the " angels in a cathedral sound.
I´ve got some mullards in my "new" 1967 Super Reverb. Maybe I´ve got the "Angels in a Cathedral"-sound already? I used to have Brimar 6v6s in the deluxe. But they broke and I replaced them with new tubes. Probably JJ. Thanks for your comment.
@vadlasletta 6V6 JJ's are very powerful and have a BIG bass (too big for my 57 Deluxe/ Les Paul set up). I use old Tung Sols and think are very sweet.

One of the things I love about this clip is that the BB is sitting on top being used to great effect while a Tubescreamer is sitting kinda' dejectedly on the floor:D But I agree w/ what others have said, this is a great song, and the tone overall is REALLY nice. Kudos.
a preamp is something which boosts input signal, and buffers it before it hits the power amp. a preamp provides a boost, while a power amp gives the signal enough volume to be heard at a decent level. all guitar amplifiers contain both preamps and poweramps
I remember the days of ECM and Manfred Eicher with fond memories too Colbstube. Crystal clear recordings (at a price as I recall!) with a stable of in-house musicians that delivered time after time...did you ever hear Danca das Cabecas(think that's spelled right)by Egberto Gismonti...was just a shame that in those days, you had to get up to turn the record over!!!!
what is the point of buying these i now there great but when you run out of tape your at a dead end

The amp is probably set below 5. The guitar is a heavily modded strat+ from 1992. If you want a demo for space echo only check out my other video:

Are you playing a Strat? Your rig sounds really good.

Mullards or Telefunkens will give your wallet that "empty as a cathedral on Tuesday" feel but will have only a subtle effect on tone.

could you do like a 30 sec demo of using just the reverb of the 201 and not the amp. that would be awesome.

could you do a demo of the reverb just from the 201, that would be awesome. just like a 30second demo.

can someone please tell me if this is a song the guy is playing?? if so what is it coz its lovely.
amazing tone aswell, Xotic BB Preamps are well good!
mrchrismckay 3 years ago
It's "Since" by Terje Rypdal, from the "Rypdal and Tekrø" -record they released in '97.
The second song i he plays is "Chaser", one of rypdals early songs, then its "Daredevil"- also from the Rypdal and Tekrø record.
