The Biggest Problem with people who dont believe is that they have no understanding of the scriptures. One needs to be Holy Spirit led to get a correct translation. And unless you are you will always interpret the scriptures incorrectly. One can interpret in the Natural, But God says First the Natural THEN the spiritual. There are 2 interpretations. Man is in the natural and can only interpret in the flesh. The Holy Spirit is Spiritual He can interpret correctly.

I dont think Religion should be tax free. They should pay taxes like everyone else. And yes, there is a Christian Religion in America, that believes in what Jesus taught. Obey the commandments, Love one another and love your neighbour. We are far and few between. Christianity has been highjacked. @Rumor100 If there was a single, historical Jesus he was an orthodox Jew. He strictly forbade his disciples to preach to non-Jews. The New Testament was written hundreds of years after his death, and much of it was stolen, e.g. 'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone' was actually said by a Greek philosopher. As an orthodox Jew Jesus would have no such sentiments. So unless you adhere strictly to ALL the commandments of the Old Testament you aren't following Jesus teachings.

The OT Laws of Moses do Not have to be Obeyed. But the NT Laws do. Christianity is a "PERSONAL" walk with Christ.

Parenti is a good and honorable man, willing to tell real truths which way too many people don't want to hear. Is it not true that Christianity has been guilty of many serious crimes, from the inquisition to recent widespread child obuse by priests, nearly or actually outweighing any good it might have done. It's one of those things not talked about much by religionists. It is certainly something we should all be aware of, and there are far too few like Parenti with the guts to remind us of it.
