I must admit that I will laugh at some, but the humour has to be done well, which is rare. Often I laugh at the sheer stupidity, which it is full of. This is one of the many moments that you could put into a YTP, but it's not funny as a scene in its own right, only as a series of a bombardment of 'random' and childish humour (no, it's not even a non-sequitar).

Not a good ending. It's cheap, melodramatic and stupid. What you've done is cut off all of the symbolism, all of the questions about mortality and humanity and it makes me sick. It reminds me of people who think that the best part of the Matrix is not the philosophical questions it raises about reality, but the fact that it has people in slo mo. But your ending has one redeeming factor: it's short, so I don't have to suffer.

I completely agree and the person who made it used that stupid scream that's in almost every film eg. Star Wars: A New Hope, all the Indiana Jones trilogy and so on. I liked blade runner a lot, it was very thought-provoking and intelligent and I usually like Harrison Ford's films; it was a bit too dark for my liking, but still very good.

In the commentary Ridley Scott mentions that Deckard spits at Roy right before he's about to fall, and it's that obstinance straight to the end is what Roy values. Because Deckard refuses to give in and fights to the very last Roy spares him. What's the use of having two dead warriors when the inevitable death of one can teach the other about the value of life?
Also, you'd lose Roy's final speech which is most of the point of the movie.

No way...rutgers ending showed that even if you were a replicant you could still feel...for other life....the "ive seen things rooftop ending" made the movie what it was...without that ending...i would not have reached the cult greatness that it has. Yeah, he was. But I like it better us not knowing for sure. Better story, better ending. Originally, it would be a robot (Batty and Rachel) teach a human about humanity and compassion. That's profound. If they're all robots, it's Robots in Love. Big deal. Plus, the unicorn footage is from Legend, and the ending is from Kubrick's The Shining. With Gaf's tinfoil unicorn on the floor it was a hint. But still we weren't sure it meant Rachel or him. But we knew, Gaf would leave them alone.
film makers are not required to follow books to the letter. In fact its necessary that they change it where they see fit. film makers usually have to do this in order to successfully translate from oner medium to the other. i like the deckard replicant twist personally

I must admit that I will laugh at some, but the humour has to be done well, which is rare. Often I laugh at the sheer stupidity, which it is full of. This is one of the many moments that you could put into a YTP, but it's not funny as a scene in its own right, only as a series of a bombardment of 'random' and childish humour (no, it's not even a non-sequitar).

Not a good ending. It's cheap, melodramatic and stupid. What you've done is cut off all of the symbolism, all of the questions about mortality and humanity and it makes me sick. It reminds me of people who think that the best part of the Matrix is not the philosophical questions it raises about reality, but the fact that it has people in slo mo. But your ending has one redeeming factor: it's short, so I don't have to suffer.
Not funny, not clever and don't even get me started on the voices.

I completely agree and the person who made it used that stupid scream that's in almost every film eg. Star Wars: A New Hope, all the Indiana Jones trilogy and so on. I liked blade runner a lot, it was very thought-provoking and intelligent and I usually like Harrison Ford's films; it was a bit too dark for my liking, but still very good.

Two things you're missing here.
In the commentary Ridley Scott mentions that Deckard spits at Roy right before he's about to fall, and it's that obstinance straight to the end is what Roy values. Because Deckard refuses to give in and fights to the very last Roy spares him. What's the use of having two dead warriors when the inevitable death of one can teach the other about the value of life?
Also, you'd lose Roy's final speech which is most of the point of the movie.

But in all seriousness, it makes no sense for Decker to be a replicant. He's not a replicant in Dick's novel, Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep so why would Ridley make Decker a replicant in the film??
Blade Runner was a good film but it could have been even better if the story had incorporated more Dickean themes from the novel.

Yeah, he was. But I like it better us not knowing for sure. Better story, better ending. Originally, it would be a robot (Batty and Rachel) teach a human about humanity and compassion. That's profound. If they're all robots, it's Robots in Love. Big deal. Plus, the unicorn footage is from Legend, and the ending is from Kubrick's The Shining. With Gaf's tinfoil unicorn on the floor it was a hint. But still we weren't sure it meant Rachel or him. But we knew, Gaf would leave them alone.

film makers are not required to follow books to the letter. In fact its necessary that they change it where they see fit. film makers usually have to do this in order to successfully translate from oner medium to the other. i like the deckard replicant twist personally
