Thanks for this very rare film footage. Cziffra often played this piece and also recorded it commercially. I like his improvisatory approach as if composing the music on the spot.
@EntertainerClassical he probably did, just when he played them they broke the camera/recorder because they were so perfect. Honestly he could just sight read a piece and learn it on the first go around. I bet thats what they teach you at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music.

Cziffra in his time in Paris and around the world, played many pianos and was happy to do so.
These included Steinway, Baldwin, Beckstein and Gaveau. In Budapest he had a Yamaha.
