open lots in wooded area, as well as parking lots, create edges which animals use to hunt, eat and for safety...take a plane up and look down...theres plenty of woods..and a reservoir is not artificial lakes...its a damned up water way to hold the water for us to use...its not like there was no water there and they just built it...lol in this case...its fed by the manasquan river...thats why its called manasquan reservoir...did you think it feeds manasquan residents...lol
