  • hear about pluto. That's messed up right

  • 9 planets? That's what makes this show so nostalgic and awesome :)

  • this song is so catchy

  • This song is humbling..... C:

  • We're singing this song for our school assembly! But we're not aloud to sing about the size of Mickey rooney

  • see that dislike bar, thats the size of Mickey Rooney.

  • Stop being so anal about it.This was done in the 1990s.You know when they could use cheeky jokes and songs to get some education into little brains.

  • I still liked it though.

  • Universal inaccuracies? Where do I begin? The sun is yellow, the asteroid belt was too cluttered, he was flying without a helmet, and despite aerodynamic design of the ship, that thing is not goin' to fly through the vacuity of space.

  • 117 people think the sun revolves around the earth.

  • No it did not get demoted. They call Pluto something.I do not know why they say it is not planet any more.I knew what it is called befor, but I just don't remember.

  • @Andrew8104

It was demoted to a dwarf planet which is now the closest object in the kuiper belt. A planet has to clear the debris from it's orbit to become a true planet. If pluto is a planet we have may more than 9 planets.

  • @ploom9999 It is supose to do something in 2000 when all the kids now are going to be adults.I do not remember what year it is supose to do that .

Also I thought there is 8 planets.

  • @Andrew8104 this song was written BEFORE planet had a precise definition. Here is your choice, you either remember the 8 planets excluding pluto or the 200 planets including pluto (cause there are so many like it). Your call.

  • @ErgoProxy12345 How about 8 plnets.

  • Comment removed

  • How nostalgic. A solar system with nine planets.

  • No lie teachers should use 90 cartoons to teach lessons

  • I know this song by heart for 15 years and only now i got the St. Elsewhere reference.

  • Splendid :)

  • this, the presidents and the 50 states song are the best

  • Thumbs if you aren't a part of a continent.

  • @Onifos How did you get into space? (Islands are connected to continents too)

  • Carl Sagan would be proud! :D

  • @obiwanobiwan13 yes he would!

  • @logansorenssen You stole my line, sir! :p

  • ... and pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space, cause there's bugger-all down here on earth!

  • Anyone else notice that at 1:21 they just reused clips from the planet song, or vice versa?

  • 9 Planets.Andsomewhere Pluto´s crying xD

  • @XxTheUlrichFxX :I think you´re right =)

  • no at pause at 0:43 and they will say dickey

  • @pinky22308 its dinkey

  • omg they said a bad word at i think 50 seconds they said we are small and dickey

  • @pinky22308 no it's dinkey

  • Leave mickey Rooney alone.

  • its to bad they couldnt have the original ending

    Original-

You might think that you're essential

    Try inconsequential

It's a small world after all!

  • Windows XP @ 0:33

  • 1:39 their voices in chorus sound so cool!

  • stolen from Python? but I love it still

  • @luxuriousnax I was thinking the same thing

  • I AM EXTREMELY OFFENDED AND APPALLED THAT THIS CARTOON HAS NOT CHANGED IN THE PAST FEW DECADES TO MATCH OUR CURRENT KNOWLEDGE FOR MY CONVENIENCE.

  • @Dimitriexeno are you black?

  • @Dimitriexeno my hero

  • You know what, @razzlefrog? Stop ruining my childhood.

  • I miss this cartoons...we learned stuff from these...

  • See this!? This right here? This is how we learn shit! I pity the next generation starved an actually education!

  • You hear that kids? The universe is ours. Universal Conquest begins.

  • my child hood brought me here

  • Kirby's Epic Yarn, anyone? Seriously, search for the main theme on here. So similar.

  • @valzilla2000 Similar opening, but then they get very different as the song goes on

  • @valzilla2000 I know right?

  • ahhh the 90's best years of my life

  • Pluto will always be a Planet to me.

  • Just so you know, I HATE JAMIE KELLNER!!!!!!!!

  • Just so you know, I HATE JAMIE KELLNER!!!!!!!!

  • So can we have your liver, then?

  • Why couldn't I be born when this was on the cartoons today are retarded

  • Woah. I have a nostalgia overload.

  • 116 people are a waste of air

  • the meaning of life. monty python

  • I love this song. It's so relaxing to sing.

  • still say that Pluto is a planet

  • @eaaudas this was made in the 90's man, so give them a break

  • @eaaudas That's like saying "I don't care what science has learned, and proved...over, and over, and over, and over, and over... The earth is still flat."

  • @PaperSoapy Somewhat less so, as Pluto's planetship or lack thereof is a matter of classification and not one of form or function.

Like defining what a continent is, it's a matter of placing an identity on a thing we know about and can describe, rather than being wrong in what form it takes.

  • @OneTwoFreeForAll There are hundreds of planetoids in both asteroid belts, as well as ones free floating in orbit around our sun. A lot are even bigger than Pluto, but we do not consider them planets, as they do not function like planets, nor do they share the same traits as planets. Search on you tube, Neil Tyson DeGrasse on Pluto no longer being a planet, he explains it far better than I can.

  • @PaperSoapy pay attention - I wasn't saying Pluto was a planet, I was saying it's not the same thing as saying Earth is flat, or is the center of the universe, or something.

It's like how the Countries of the World song is more wrong now than it was when it came out - things changed in the way we look at things. Not in what we actually know about it.

More like the difference between when maps had big blank areas to now.

  • @OneTwoFreeForAll Interesting. I agree, but re reading your posts It still came across as defending Pluto's planet-hood. Either way, this statement, the one I am replying to, I do not disagree with.

  • I get the distinct feeling the writers watched Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos' before creating this song.

  • I love how this show tries so hard to not be opinionated on any touchy subjects, like saying we think earths the only planet with life but we could be wrong, and we don't know how we got here...but it's unabashedly willing to insult any and all celebrities (about the size of Mickey Rooney)

  • Monty Python's Galaxy Song from Meaning of Life ^^

  • Great video to show children and adults.

  • Yakko-ception.

  • Y isnt Pluto a planet anymore??

  • @AtemusQueen234 its just a giant block of ice it isnt really anything much else it dosent have the nessecary elements to be considered a planet. its essentially a meteor

  • @AtemusQueen234 they think its one of neptune's moons

  • @AtemusQueen234 'Cause Pluto didn't pay Universal taxes las year. They Kick it out of the Planetarium Club. = )

  • @AtemusQueen234 because they discovered around 100 other rocks floating in space that were actually larger than pluto, and if pluto was a planet then it means that all of those giant pluto sized rocks would have to be planets too. So they demoted pluto so we didn't have to say the milky way had 200 planets. That and I think they thought plutos atmosphere was to thin to really be considered an atmosphere.

  • @bennitori4 Yes, but also because Pluto doesn't dominate it's orbital neighborhood, in other words it's orbit is irregular.

  • @bennitori4 The Milky Way has a lot more than 200 planets.............

Perhaps you mean the asteroid belt in our solar system?

  • @Matthew486DX2 We've discovered over 700 exoplanets :) more, of course, a lot more, are still out there.

  • i bet if i sing this for my science teacher she'll give me extra credit :P

  • WOW! THIS IS SUCH A GREAT VIDEO! I would like to make such a video and put it in my collection.

  • Isn't it fun how we enjoy beeing told that we are tiny and worthless for the existance of right about anything?

  • @degurkin

    Tiny/puny != worthless.

  • This is one of those songs I just can't quit hitting "replay" on...

  • We have proof of extraterrestrial life.

    This show definitley proves it.

  • lool You will have a fun time with me

  • Apparantly we are about as small as mickey rooney. Genius

  • Btw for whoever said the galaxies were infinite. There is an edge of the universe, about 14 billion lightyears from earth. Google it.

  • @Bkrienke1 That's merely the edge of the visible universe.

  • A hundred billion galaxies? just sayinjg there is an infinite number.....not being mean...

  • seriously what is going on with mitt romey and the dislike bar. I dont get the joke.

  • @profirenet "about the size of mickey rooney" is a lyric in here, saying how small we are, and the dislike bar is is so tiny like the size of mikcy rooney.

  • Way to rip off monty python galaxy song

  • @DavidOwenAnthony1986

    It's a tribute song.

  • what a brilliant way of explaining the universe in a song

  • i just love how they depict the human race :D

  • Nine planets. Thank you Yakko for still recognizing Pluto as a planet.

Yakko knows what's up! 90's kids unite!

  • @MissBethelina Pluto IS still a planet and always will be! Our solar system is now up to at least 16 planets and counting!

  • @MissBethelina DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEE THE 90's WILL NEVER DIE MAN

  • This video is what's making me a nihilist.

  • Omg! How old is this?

  • @anirvanroy84 15 yearish?

  • OMG i miss Animaniacs so much it was one of my favourite kids shows, and still is! LOL! XD

  • @SimmyTime2011 Good, now keep it that way.

  • if i beacome i science i am going to play this for my class :P

  • "9" planets........and Pluto is somewhere and cries T__T

    xDD

  • Richard Dawkins is in the related videos.

  • Comment removed

  • hehe i am ur girl

  • I'm playing this song to my future kid. :D

  • I think Pluto just gets sympathy because we anthropomorphize it. It's the "little planet". It's "so far away and lonely and blue". It probably has low self esteem and cries itself to sleep at night. Y'all, really. It's a gargantuan hunk of space mass that would murder you in a fractional nanosecond if you landed on it.

  • @razzlefrog

So would Jupiter. And Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Murcury, Venus, even Mars without proper gear. Big deal, everything in space has the potential to kill you. And I like Pluto because it's unique. It's ice, all ice. Not rock or gas, but ice. And it still managed to form a fairly circular orbit (yes, I know it's more of an oval) and a perfectly round shape. It also has three moons. But Pluto's not gargantuan, it and its largest moon, Charon, could fit across the USA with room to spare.

  • R.I.P Mickey Rooney

  • @jc0503132 Mickey Rooney is still alive... Andy Rooney is the one who just passed.

  • I love how they start off with Yakko in the snow, ad then they're flying in space. :D

  • 0:35 zoo Fari?

  • Look at the dislike bar. That's the size of Mickey Rooney.

  • @MrCalvin59 whos that

  • 111 people don't like old cartoons

  • 9 planets? what is this insanity?! (sarcasm)

  • @Sarmgerra

Funny thing. They thought Pluto couldn't be considered a planet because they measured it against Eris (the furthest dwarf planet from the sun) and saw that Eris was bigger, so Pluto got demoted. Only now, they have better measuring techniques and realized that Pluto is actually bigger than Eris.

So to me, it is a planet, I like Pluto too much to consider it as anything but.

  • @GoaGreena What do you like about Pluto? It's a small icy object that would be a comet if it was barely closer to the sun than Jupiter.

  • @ZackHeise

I don't know. I just like it. It's different than the other planets. It`s unique.

    Plus I`m a strange person.

  • i havent seen this show in years... damn near brought me to tears

  • i know im 16 now but i lov this song

  • About the size of Mickey Rooney...LOL!

  • How the heck did Mickey Rooney make 111 accounts?!

  • @ElGuerrillero8595 good one -.-

  • @ElGuerrillero8595 : Mickey Rooney1, Mickey Rooney2, Mickey Rooney3,.... xDD

  • :D

  • ....i found a falsehood.....the planets are not silent. they made noise...we learned it in astronomy

  • @mephesto499 make*

  • This is awesome, mickey rooney opened 111 channels & disliked this 111 times

  • It's big black and icky.........dafuk

  • were all small and WHATy????

  • @Spooneads We're all small and dinky

  • Dam do I feel small

  • WTF WHY IS MONTY PYTHON A RELATED VIDEO!?!?

  • @monkeyboy409

Only a fool doesn't know. Just watch it.

  • Shit, I'm getting nostalgic right now and I wasn't even born when this show came out!

  • The animators were lazy. from 1:19 to 1:27 is the same animation from the solar system clip, where they named all the planets

  • I got a boner when he said "NINE planets". That's right, fuck you NASA! Yakko has spoken.

  • I love how Yakko says the last few lines

"Cause there's a 100 billion galaxies that stretch across the sky filled with constelations, planets, moons, and stars. And still the universe extends, to a place that never ends, which is maybe just inside a little jar!!!"

Gives you a feeling of how small we really are. At least we can count on the fact that God is holding that jar that is the universe.

  • @LordGodsServant Can't tell if trolling..or just incredibly stupid. There is no creator or diety. Why don't you go read some books and educate yourself, because you're wasting your incredibly short time on this planet hoping for an afterlife. Instead of that, do something with your life that will benefit the survival of the species.

  • @Cooley470 :(

    'sigh'

Why so hostile, I am reasonably well educated and know that there is evidence for the Bible.

I have my own opinion and am perfectly free to post it, if anyone's trolling, it's you.

  • @Cooley470 Dude, chill. It's his beliefs. Fellow non-Christian here, yeah, but back off. Who's he hurting?

  • @LordGodsServant Prove it.

  • @melosebrainuhoh DNA is basically the information that makes us all up. A law of nature is that information has to have an intelligent source. Humans are out of the running so who "wrote" DNA.

    God.

  • @LordGodsServant "A law of nature is that information has to have an intelligent source."

There is no law of nature saying anything like that. Cite your sources, please.

  • @melosebrainuhoh Let me put it this way, and try to have an open mind please. Someone puts a piece of paper in a safe and leaves it there for 5 years. When they open up the safe, with no one having opened it or tampered with the paper in all the time it was in the safe, will there be writig on it? No, because in order for a paper to have writing on it, somone has to write it. The same holds true for DNA.

  • you're as big as you yourself feel. there is no life except on planet earth. perhaps in different dimensions, but we don't know if they even exist. :I

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 Do you really think Earth is that important? We could be wiped out from the universe right now and other civilizations, cultures, and species would never care.

  • @dallasdoby3 do you have any proof of these "civilizations, cultures, and species"??? no i didn't guess so. unless we really get any solid proof of it, it doesn't really exist.

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 You are ridiculously ignorant of your surroundings.

  • @dallasdoby3 lol suuuuuure i am... im just a human after all. and you are God right? i don't think the human race would exist long enough to find anything about other creatures on other planets... they might as well not exist. im sorry if i offended you but YOU are the ridiculously ignorant here.

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99

You're an idiot or a troll

I don't really care because i'm about to rip into anyway

Have you visited every planet and moon in the universe because if you have then i'll gladly step down but if as a suspect you haven't then there's no way you could know that wer're the only life here.

And since when does lack of proof disprove something it only means tests haven't been run

  • @WinstonWesker i think you missed my point. theres no point to find any alien life if its probs never going to appear anywhere near earth. there is probably very much alien life in other parts of the universe but i dont believe it is in the milky way....

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 Sorry i was just taking my anger out on you ;) i get what you mean now
