As a pastor and reader of Barth since 1978, I am amazed at young Mary's interest in and confident command of many high points in Karl Barth's life.

Loved her exit line. :)

Now here's a wild guess about why she crafted and presented so carefully her "theological impersonation." It was part of a church catechism/history class.
