  • This is a joke for the price. Unless its free? And where on earth is the reverse delay coming from ?

  • ohh, thats not nice....

  • Sounds totally fake.

  • The biggest problem with Balthor is that it isn't velocity sensitive.

  • @clothearednincompoop Yeah, which ultimately ruins everything as pianos are instruments that are extremely dynamic in play with their velocity. Much like any instrument I guess.

  • suena askerozo...

  • I'm not so keen on this piano vst but it's good for ballad music.

  • Oh my, my Casio PX 130 sounds better than this. And I play Jazz.

  • You the genius! Music super! But for you only one exit - shoot! LOL )

  • Try Hauptwerk software. There are several wonderful Steinways as well as very realistic (sampled) harpsichords and pipe organs.

  • SICK PIANO MAN!!!

  • Haha I wouldn't even get it on thepiratebay, sounds really "plastic" #OMG

  • I did write this piano with velocity but I never submitted it.(Balthor)

  • LOL, Hi Balthor.

Well, you really should have submitted the velocity version IMHO.

The core piano sound is here, but its VERY flat and pingy. Velocities may have helped.

    Cheers.

  • lol =D

  • shit this plugin sucks in compare with Tascam CVpiano and Pianissimo

  • Pianissimo unfortunately such too, when you hit keys HARD you can hear that there is kind of limiter that you cant switch off. Also it STRATCHES each implemented sample for 3-4 notes to make a melody...

  • to me it sounds like pure midi with a little bit of reverb = pure crap!!

  • can u please explain about when u said it sounds like pure midi

  • hmm.. when i say pure i mean general midi. (GM) If you don't know what midi is it's a integrated sound interface with very low variety of samples. you can get theese so called vsti plugins that improves theese sounds with a lot better samples for every note but this is not one of them ..but i guess you can't expect more from a free app. there is some out there that really costs a lot of money like Ivory for instance. I think there is about 40 gigs (That's just insane!!) of high quality samples.

  • @YOungMalcolmX1

Listen to any of the chords

  • pure midi is a bad thing right

  • a piano sound your old nokia can make

  • @imdefinitelyover18 Try the General Piano VST by Safwan Matni. Its superb quality and its a free plugin.

  • @phazonxl

I just tried it and I have to disagree. It has the same silly elementary mistake that some other free piano VSTs have too: It does not behave like a piano behaves!!!

It's like these VSTs are created by people who can't play piano even the tiniest bit.

I mean: strike down a key. Fine - the sound plays. Release the key: the sound is cut instantly. This is totally unnatural and renders the VST completely useless.

It does sound good with the sustain pedal however.

    Rant over... ;-)

  • @imdefinitelyover18

Agreed, fakest piece of shit I've ever heard

  • This thing had potential but like with most free pianos......it has NO velocities making it VERY limiting for a true piano player.

Try 'Yannleo Accentor' instead. Its FAR superior than Balthor and has 5 velocity layers. Its not perfect and limited for quiet playing, but great sounding for everthing else!
