Don't mix up Japanese ninja with Cantonese "Bruce Lee" kung fu! There is historically no connection between ninja and kung fu. Ninja means "spy" but nothing about martial arts...

Not quite right, ninja prolly comes from ninjitsu which was the main martial art taught in edo dojos but it has more to do with karate than it will ever have with kung fu. Still epic animation :D

Well, ninja's history is back to Kamakura (12-14th century). They are specialized how to hide themselves to spy and assassinate that techniques are called ninjutsu (spy techniques) but nothing with martial arts.

As to karate, it was a Ryukyu martial arts that was not brought to mainland Japan until Meiji (early 20th century) after ninja period ended.

Ninja is principally spy and sometimes assassin so they should not scream like Bruce Lee :)
