It has an turbocharged 2.5 litre VR5 20v engine (the VR5 has the same sound/power/torque like the inline 5 cylinder engine, but it is shorter, lighter (more compact) like the inline 5. The same sound is because the VR5 is working almost the same like an inline 5 (same firing interval, pistone movement, etc...)).

the Jetta or Rabbbit Engine is a VR5. The Audi Engine is a INLINE!!

All U.S. Rabbits from 2005 to 2009, and 2010 U.S. Golfs are gas inline 5 cylinder engines, the v5 was never imported to the states. go online to the US VW site and learn. Also the audiTT/rs block is Rabbit 2.5.

inline 5 blocks code are ( 07K ),made of GJL250 grey cast iron.

For TT RS codes for engine are ( 07K.3/CEPA )

made of GJV-450 compacted vermicular graphite cast iron (GJV/CGI) !!!

Also TT RS engines have slightly different architecture,better to say

they have thicker walls and are strengthened on many places.

You can't compare Naturaly aspirated engine with 125 kilowatts ; 239 newton metres (176 ft·lbf) with Turbo one

250 kilowatts ; 450 newton metres (332 ft·lbf)?

I continually impressed with Audi's evident sonic tuning of their exhaust systems. It retains a lot of rawness despite the turbo!

@farhooddd sorry, but the s1 dwarfs every car in existence. the one Italian car that comes close (the pagani zonda f clubsport, both are not street legal) weighs less, has more power, has 7 cylinders more, is 24 years younger and still is slower to 100 kph than the Audi sport quattro s1.

Don't get me wrong the pagani sounds awesome, but it doesn't shoot flames the size of my leg out of it's muffler.

Test drove this and a e92 M3...i must admit, it was close...very different cars, the TT felt more sporty, mainly due to the much harder ride...but since i would use the car everyday i went for the M3...would be nice to drive them both back to back on a track...

Errrr I live right next to an audi dealership in Plano Texas...the RS costs $50k. The one I drove had 260hp (2.0l turbo). It had quad exhausts...what r u talkin about it didn't exist

The car you are reffering to is an Audi TTS, the car in this video is a TTRS, it has a turbocharged straight 5 developing 335bhp, as can be clearly seen in the video it has two large oval exhaust pipes which considering you know the TTS has quad exhausts should have allowed you to differentiate betweeen the two different models

the one you drove was an TTS with 272 hp. you can see it on the quad exhaust and the 2.0l turbo engine which is installed in the TTS
