I don't know who did the sound for this track, but the band sounds so dialed in...just listen to the bass. And it looks like they are playing with a simple club setup of amps. Great Live Performance.

A little question for anyone who was there. Were you close enough to see if Clayton, the bassist, bass guitar was actually working? There was a bass line going and he wasn't touching the frets during the lead, or am i dreaming.

It means that he doesn't need to play the fret board, just the open string. :)

Most of U2's live stuff, ever since Joshua Tree and Zoo TV tour has had a sequence track running with it. Nothing wrong w that, actually some minimal sequencing can be incredibly useful, and fun to play along with, if used minimally...

The fuck are you even talking about? Joshua Tree B-side? For a start, that album was how long ago? Different time, different era in music. This song could easily have been put on any U2 album of the 80's and no one would complain. BTW the sound in this track sounds more like the War and Unforgettable Fire harmonics. that's a good point. i definitely see the unforgettable fire in here now that you mention it. the intro of magnificent, though, remind me of "electrical storm," which i believe was only released as a single and on 1990-2000 but recorded during the all you can't leave behind sessions.
