Beck has influenced my life so much. My friends and I literally make videos of ourselves doing stupid things and then shove them together and call them "Moldy Crouton" movies.
can anyone give me the bass line to this? i can figure the first slide in the riff but the rest i can't figure out. and all the tab sites online are just the mellow gold version -_-
dude thanks so much, i just play it on a guitar for fun and its a little easier if you play the first 2 notes on the A string at the 11th string and the 9th string, but thats just me.
this song is the origin of the current Soulwax/2 Many DJs, every modern dance song right now source, for the bassline as foreground narrative device if you will in music. Specifically after the line "flying through the air like a mouldy crouton/flying through the air like a breeze" the bassline after that becomes basically a metal version of Digital Underground's Dowhatchulike.
I love the jazz section at the end....amazing!

@lilcryinangel I FREAKING LOVE this version! This is the best song he ever did, IMO. Beck rapping with a defined drumbeat is Beck at his best.

The drums on this song are very similar to the drums on Corvette Bummer - both were probably recorded at the same time.

the bass and drums are both really similar to corvette bummer, yeah. .....not to mention both tracks are on the same album. ha
