yes fedor is a great fighter but i have heard people say that randy stands no chance and to say that it is wrong. an i watched the fedor/hunt fight and to even compare hunt to randy is dumb. hunt is a good striker randy is not known for striking it is his ground game that he is world famous. yes i want to see the fight and i think it would be a great fight i just do not think fedor will be able to handle the ground game of randy.

nice review; people also don't tend to realize that Fedor has more wins than Randy has fights, and has almost double the wins that couture has with less than half the losses. Both guys have fought about 15-16 top level fighters, but Randy's fought a lot of top fighters twice (liddel, belfort (3), Rizzo) which means that Fedor's fought a more diverse pool of fighters.

Couture couldn't finish Sylvia in 5 rounds, He had dominate positions and went for submissions but he still couldn't, it took fedor only 36 seconds, Couture wouldn't stand a chance...And as the Brock Randy fight goes, Brock shouldn't be getting an immediate shot just because he said I wanna fight the best guys, with only 3 fights, he hasn't proven himself, and with the Mir Nog fight...Nog will win, and then if Randy wins, I bet Randy's then again gonna duck Nog, Then his contracts history again.

As always, Vicious, you share a lot of great insights. I did not know that Randy got a percentage of buys, and that explains his willingness to accept the Lesnar fight. To go 1-1 in the UFC and get a title shot is an insult when you think of the fights Florian has endured with no second title shot coming his way (yet). Yes, fighting is about money, and I do not begrudge Randy his money. To be 45 in this rough game, his earning days are numbered. Does Randy really charge for autographs?

I agree with most of what you said Vicious Sid. I think that Dana White knows that his weakest division is the Heavyweight Division and he needs to shake that division up a little and draw MUCH needed attention to it. Pitting Randy vs Brock is just the thing that should do that. As a true MMA fan do I think it's fuck up? Yes. It's a smack in the face to Nog and Werdum. There are plenty others that should be considered for title contention over Brock but hey if this is what it takes... so be it!

I think poeple are also forgeting that when to fighters of the same calibur cancel each other out when fighting because they know their stregths.So IMO, it will be a stalemate till some one gets rocked and then the fight takes place on the ground.Boxing is Big NOg's forte and Kickboxing is Mir's Forte.If Big Nog checks the Kicks he'll be ok and if Mir counters BIg NOg's attacks he will be good.Ulitmately,its all about conitioning in this fight.

Say something off the wall happens. Lets say Brock actually beats Randy (which I don't think he will). A fight between Fedor and Couture would be utterly pointless now. But as you said, its not a fight for mainstream fans. Its disappointing that Brock Lesnar is better known than Fedor Emelianenko. All Lesnar is, is a money draw. To think hes a legitamate threat to Nogueira? It truly shocks me how people can even now still doubt Fedor. The UFC Heavyweight is a farce at the moment.
