All the people who wanted to race on ovals went and started the Indy Racing League (IRL) and everyone who wanted road courses went and started the Champ Car World Series. In 2008 they realized that they both sucked after the split and re-merged with each other. Now they are back together but its still called the IRL, however it is not the same as pre-split.

He did pratically the same in F1 . To be exact ,he did even better in F1 because his first victory ( without the stupd lapped car that bumped him ) would had been Interlagos GP pratically ......his third GP.
This driver is simply and surely the most talented driver of the last 15 years .
@MrIrishlogic Almost nothing now a days. The only real difference were the different chassis and engine manufacturers amounts. IRL currently only has one of each, whereas cart had different manufacturers of both during its height. CART was dominated by foreign Drivers, whereas IRL mainly had domestic drivers. Irl is now dominated by foreign drivers, And Cart ran both road course (temp/perm) and ovals, IRL does too now. So really only minor differences now. Well that and the engines are weaker.
