I think this is a good example of natural selection - why would a kind and caring god make these goats have this condition? if god did make these, he purposely made them faint when startled so that they would die no matter what when a lion found them.

@NCWC916 It's a recessive gene, so in the wild it would only be a few goats in the entire herd that had the lock-up reaction. That way, predators could go and eat those ones while the rest of the goats get away. Then humans decided that the way they fell over was hilarious, and decided to breed them so they consistently had those genes.
