  • nice i like that i wish my mom did that with me a long time ago well it to late now lol but wait till i have kids i cant wait ...im only19 but im not rushing any thing .....ps. your a good mom a hot 1 at that =p

  • I commend you for being such a devoted mother. Only someone who really cares about their kids would do this for them. And to kostinsky, screw you. If your immature enough to call her a bad mother, then your obviously to immature to know enough about the disease and to know what you are talking about. Don't get so big in your britches there, bud.

  • good idea but wheres the fun in that, there is some candy that you just cant replace

  • I have been diagnosed with ADHD (according to DSM there is no ADD anymore), I think if you really have it, it has nothing to do with anything you eat at all. It matters where I am at, who I am with, and what kind of things in my surroundings trigger it more than usual.

  • im not hating or juging y take the candy out of candy if that makes any since lol and y do you get to eat the good stuff i understand now i actually went and read the coments and that is really awesome that you picked up on that and stopped it like most parents these days that let their children run wild and do what ever

  • i would be really pissed if my mom did this to me

  • wow... you're like the...

    best mother ever xD

  • Mother of 6!? WOW You go Mom!

  • Wow your a good mother. o.o

  • @kostinsky Seriously? "bad parenting"? A parent that would go out of their way to make sure their child eats healthy doesn't seem like a bad parent to me. Btw This is really helpful, thanks! I need to try eating new snacks that are healthier. :)

  • i was gonna say thats sad etc but after reading some of the comments she has put, thats very fair and actually a great idea, well done, and mother of six with enough time etc to do that, she dserves a high five

  • hey Headmutha, this is a really good vid. im sure lots of families will appriciate this allot. i havent any kids but i do have family members with add and i know how much of a difference this would make!! :) cheers,

  • I'm 20 but I have been reading a lot about artificial Ingredients In food over the past couple of months and I'm thinking about going on the Feingold Diet. It's ridiculous what they're allowed to put In food.

  • AWESOME videos.

  • This is what happens when you don't have a job, own a minivan, and revolve your life around children. Typical soccer mom/family. ADD is not a disease, it is a disorder. Disorders are caused by bad parenting. It is all physiological and is a "disease" for the weak.

  • @kostinsky- Hi! If you're 25, like your profile states, I'm going assume you have no children. At least I hope you don't. If you actually paid attention to anything I have said or written, I have never stated that my son has ADD. I have said that he has a reaction to the chemicals that are in foods. Like those who have Autism, who have reactions to gluten and milk, and when those are taken out of their diet, their brains can be lifted from the fog. It's a chemical reaction with the brain.

  • So before calling me a bad parent, become one yourself, see the difficulties that we have before laying judgment. I'm a mother of six children, don't judge me, don't lecture me, don't even comment about this until you have your own kids.

Thank you and good luck in your very young life. And by the way, I have a job, minivans suck hard, I'm not a soccer Mom, and I have a full life outside my kids. You are judging the wrong Mom here man.

  • @headmutha yah man! before calling her a bad parent, become a bad parent yourself!

  • @headmutha OMG YOU GOT OWNED KOSTINSKY HAHA great response and keep lookin out for ya kids cuz they will be very halthy and very succesfull

  • At least she cares for her kid unlike most parents now days to busy working and trying to have a wonderful career which proves nothing at the end of life. Your children are your legacy not your work.

  • @kostinsky I am a 17 year old girl with ADHD and I can safely say that it affects every part of my life, and is more than just a disorder.

For some, like me, it can make life a huge challenge, and I would appreciate if you didn't belittle it.

I would also like to add that after going vegan I noticed I was able to better handle my ADHD.

  • @kostinsky

    don't let her push you around ! ! !

    nuttin's worse than over-reactive parents.

  • @kostinsky you got told son

  • @kostinsky

    you stupid.. use your brain!!!

  • @kostinsky "disorders are caused by bad parenting".............well its a good thing your not a doctor then.

  • We've been doing Feingold for seven years now. Feingold worked a MIRACLE for our family! Before Feingold, we had a 4yo on Ritalin, and a 3yo whose siblings wouldn't sit next to him at dinner because he was so out of control! Meds should be a LAST resort, not done before diet has been given a chance to work. Feingold works for the majority of kids. My family is SO grateful we found out!

  • sound cool

  • sound good to eat

  • YOUR REaLly kOol

  • Awesome video =)

  • lol, "Better than Hershey's, sorry"

I just found that part really funny for some reason. It's so true though!

  • Good parents good job !

  • at first I thought u were really protective, but then i found out about his alllergy. Im just gonna say smarter than have add meds trust me........

  • yur a good mom! :D

  • I was on that diet as a kid, i kinda felt left out beacuse i saw all the other kids getting to eat all this stuff that i was forbidden to, my teacher used to give gummi bears as rewards and they kids made fun of me for the reason my mom brought in special ones that were not as pretty colored as the artificial ones. when i was taken off the diet, i wanted to eat everything that i had never had before so much i developed and eating distorter.. so.. it really has its ups AND downs.

  • I'm a feingold mom too. We did this for my 5yo this year and it was wonderful. Feingold is amazing. it makes a huge difference in his behavior and it's really helped me educate him to make better food choices.

  • thats a great idea instead of your child having to take medication...

    :D

  • Sweet video and love Halloween thats my birthday :-) Thanks its a great vid Rickey

  • I have ADD and thank you so much for that because i love sweets but i get to hyper when i have normal stuff! and know i eat this it tastes better then normal stuff

  • wow....you spoil you kid with healthy stuff lol jk. your a good mom

  • i think its great that your not putting your kid on drugs even though he has add. all the side effects of most of those drugs most of the time outweigh the benefits of the drugs.

    Drugs are for sissies.

  • its healther

  • real good info THANKS!

  • cool vid

  • lol. wow your like the greatest mom, ever. lol your definetly super mom

  • Awesome ideas. The organic candies sound delicious

  • awesome! best of luck for the future :)

  • oh, ok. ur a good mom. most moms would prob. pick the medicine cuz its easier.

  • wait is there like a medical reason he cant have those things (ie allergies)- or are you just not letting him have artifical coloring because its generally unhealthy.

  • It's a medical reason. His body reacts to it. It was this or putting him on "ADD" medication.

  • Red food coloring, especially, has an insane effect on most children, and especially ADD kids. Thanks very much for trying this solution BEFORE medication, more parents should follow your example.

    THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES

  • I support every mother or "mutha" out there making a better future for their kids!

  • lol thats a mom right there,

  • just wanted to ask wether or not you have kept him on thease foods, and wether it has shown a continuel improvment?

    smart idea!

    well done chick!

  • We're going on over a year now. It's been a much better year than all the others! Thanks for asking!

  • That's friggin cool. lol

  • thats cool

  • You are my favorite mama friend that I have never met!

Thank you for sharing so much with me and my family!!!

  • ur kids r cleaning the house upstairs arent u sapoused to do that

  • You must be a kid yourself!

  • @headmutha So True!

  • i LOVE sun drops! they taste SO much better than m&ms!

  • how bad is his red 40 hyperactivity O_o

  • @thechristian32 He is a different kid. He was angry and aggressive all the time. That's not the case anymore!

  • thats a great idea! very clever video:)

  • yore kid are super cool :D

  • u look pretty!!

  • wow this is a great idea ur pretty smart

  • That's AWESOME! You are such a great mom! The lengths we go to for our children are endless!

  • you're so pretty, and this video is great, knowing that there are HEALTHY snacks that taste good. =) thank you so much. I am a kid as well, but I love learning about things for children because I'm the youngest child. But thank you!

  • i don't get it

  • lol candy. . we call it lollies but anyway. . what'd you do with the . . candy . . he turned in? :s

  • His siblings got it. They don't have the same reaction to it...

  • my sisters allergic to red 40 also so she has to watch what she eats all the time

  • thats an incredible idea! I kinda want 2 start my little bro on that, hes only 7 so if there is a taste difference i bet he wont kno the difference :D

  • i dont get it so what did they do with all the candy in the beginning? and were they just explainin their halloween i just dont understand?

  • Oh man if he sees this when he's older...

    XD

    Great ieda's though.

  • hm. am an ADD kid =/ it's rely sucks..

  • In the US there is such a great variety of lollies, even the healthy stuff, something which is lacking in most other parts of the world..

    The Mad Bomber..

  • o well happy birthday tell him i said happy birthday pls and thx

  • wow your kids must be luky and be very healthy!lol..keep it up!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are all healthier now! I thank my seven year old all the time, because he is the one that got us here!

  • dont get it...

  • he's allergic to the food coloring.

  • Oh im sorry. That must be hard.

  • It was in the beginning, but there are so many options out there now. His reaction to the food coloring, artificial flavors and preservatives affected his behavior. Google "red 40 hyperactivity" and you will see what I mean.

  • Nice videos you've got, thanks very much!

The fire truck is the best :)

  • kids are cleaning uhhh house upstairs lol you are awesome! i love you!

  • thats cool but i think its haalos eve lol and i loved fire truck lol

  • This is WAY to protective...why the hell would you need to do this?

  • He's allergic to the food coloring.

  • oh ok thanks

  • Ohh okay I was wondering why you were giving him this instead of candy (at 1st i thought you were just like a really healthy mom) but I'm sorry adn I hope he's doing well!

  • If you had watched the entire video, you would have known that her son is allergic to food coloring which makes him act out. I think she is a terrific mother to find this drug free solution!

  • did your other kids also get the approved candy? or are they ok with the regular candy?

  • They usually get approved candy. But for Halloween, I let them go at it!

  • awesome. ^^

  • Hahaha, that's smart. But let me guess, your keeping all the good candy to yourself, lol, right? I'm evil, I would do that.

  • Actually, he's been sharing his candy with me. I have made the choice to eat approved only candy as well.

  • oh....then can send it my way? lol Just kidding, obviously! Well that's a good choice! BRAVO!

  • Oh.....then can you send it my way? lol just kidding, obviously! Well Bravo! and good for you!

  • lol

  • You ARE a super-mom! I love your videos. So, all this is available at Whole Foods?

  • YEP!!!!

  • I think the trick was that you gave him candy back. He would've felt cheated had you not supplied him w/sugar on the holiday. Hope you gave that candy to like an orphanage or something. You want his behaviour to change, DON'T give him any sugar unless it's in fruits. You'll see how he mellows out REAL fast (after the initial withdrawl we all go through)

  • 116th view and first comment!

  • :D 3.....

  • wow, ur the super mom! ceep up the good work!
