I agree 8DoverNJ, that is exactly how we must start this! And then I think the next step is to connect with the others out there who are doing this. Once we can connect our like minds and start sorting out humanities troubles, then we can begin to develop, and implement the strategies that the Venus Project and Zeitgeist Movement have laid out for us. And then we work out the "kinks". This is all contingent on us not destroying ourselves first of course! ;)
Look to more remote areas to purchase land. Remote areas I'm thinking will have less restrictions. Look up monolithic domes and or earthships and start with off-grid dwellings or as Bucky Fuller would put it: autonomous houses. Get off-grid first before thinking about worldwide systems (that'll come later). Take whatever steps small or large in that direction. Grow you're own food. When you get to the point of living off-grid and growing your own food, money is rendered irrelevant.
It would be an ideal world topia to live without armies and wars, and without police and crime. But the truth is human nature will pursue self-interest and character traits like envy and hatred will not disappear just because there is no law of justice. In fact, the rebellious will flourish because without some form of justice, there would be no reason for morality.
It begins with each one of us. And I believe it can be done if we put our minds to it. The ONE constant in life is CHANGE, and we CAN - ALL OF US - CHANGE. It begins on an individual basis, and then once you - the individual - can change yourself. You can help another to do the same. Good point NewbDance. I think we all agree that there has never been unity instituted by humanity. However, take a look at the Holy Bible (yes it is relevant, even though human weakness can cause the best of us to sin. Even if you can't look at the Bible as a spiritual gateway to a relationship with God, it is still at least an accurate historic document). We see there was peace in the land and unity among the Israelites as long as they remained devoted to God.
Or take a look of the lifestyles the disciples of Jesus' time chose. It was a self-sustaining community because it centered on God.

When I pressed Peter Joseph to suggest a solution to over fishing in the oceans he replied “aquaculture on land, and we don’t have to eat fish, we could survive on algae.” His “solutions” are exactly the same as what would happen if nothing were done to solve the problems we face- consequences are not the same as solutions! Look to more remote areas to purchase land. Remote areas I'm thinking will have less restrictions. Look up monolithic domes and or earthships and start with off-grid dwellings or as Bucky Fuller would put it: autonomous houses. Get off-grid first before thinking about worldwide systems (that'll come later). Take whatever steps small or large in that direction. Grow you're own food. When you get to the point of living off-grid and growing your own food, money is rendered irrelevant.

It begins with each one of us. And I believe it can be done if we put our minds to it. The ONE constant in life is CHANGE, and we CAN - ALL OF US - CHANGE. It begins on an individual basis, and then once you - the individual - can change yourself. You can help another to do the same. It could take decades to achieve, but I believe if we continue to help humanity and our children focus on the necessary changes, it WILL HAPPEN!! Believe in us! Or no one will!

I know you mean well, but look where that attitude has gotten us.
Humanity could spend the rest of it's existence arguing over what religion is correct. This guy is pointing out some basic flaws with society and suggesting ways that they could be fixed. His solutions have problems of their own which he readily admits. But you have to start somewhere.
If everyone believed in Jesus Christ, it still wouldn't work. Look at the heinous crimes committed by genuine believers already. Priests even.

There is no TRUE unity to be found anywhere on this planet. And if there is, it has a brief lifespan. We must create that unity ourselves by taking a different approach. Since humanity has not been able to create constant unity for itself up to this point, why would we think Zeitgeist would be any different? Call me crazy, but I've experienced what I believe was true unity with others...yet because of sin, that time is unfortunately short lived. Good point NewbDance. I think we all agree that there has never been unity instituted by humanity. However, take a look at the Holy Bible (yes it is relevant, even though human weakness can cause the best of us to sin. Even if you can't look at the Bible as a spiritual gateway to a relationship with God, it is still at least an accurate historic document). We see there was peace in the land and unity among the Israelites as long as they remained devoted to God.

I don't mean to turn this into a religious debate, however i have said all of this because NewbDance is right: humanity has never been able to create constant unity and Zeitgeist would be no different. The Bible was never meant to take on the hypocritic role the trying Christians gave it. If we can see its truth, we'll see there was and is unity on earth with God.

Ok, I will not turn this into a religious debate either as that is a waste of time, but there is no rationale to saying that there is only unity through god as I am more kind an open than so many "people of God", so it is not god, but love and care that matters. If the only way someone can learn to love is through a God, then please use that method. All can keep their belief's, but this is not a Zeitgeist ONLY idea. We need to do what Venus Pr. suggests if we are to have any hope...period

Peter Joseph is very intelligent and brings up many valid points. I'd like to bring some light to one of his stances though -- Jesus did infact exist. He was an extraterrestrial, light-bearing entity far removed from "the" prime creator. He, as well as many other extraterrestrials who came from the skies, were "gods" with a lowercase g. The primitive earth humans worshipped them, and many people still do (they're worshipping ETs). This is all going to become very public in the next few years.

There is NO proof Jesus existed! Read "Who Was Jesus?: Conspiracy in Jerusalem" by Kamal S. Salibi and he explains that there were MANY Jesus and it's all mixed up and that's why people can't prove or disprove the Bible-- considering that Matthew, Luke, John, and Mark were written 20-50 years AFTER Christ's death! His is not the only written work, there are others...look for the books, they are there!! Please read historical FACTS and then come and argue with people)
