  • insane speed. Nice!

  • must... keep... up.... shit i lost a finger

  • speed up but very nice cover!

  • nice cover!!

    This guitar is so cool!!

  • sped up(?)

  • This is sped up. Just listen to the regular version alongside it.

It's clear he sped it up.

  • @allseriousness Sigh. Yes, it is sped up, I recorded it sped up. I did NOT speed up the video, I don't get the fascination with this. This song can be played cleanly and live speed if you are recording it.

  • @allseriousness i dont see the problem with speeding it up.

  • @allseriousness in fact, it actually shows he's a pretty tight player

  • Where can you buy that Dean, I look all over for it on Ebay. What's it called?

  • @funyman243 Hi, this Dean was never available to purchase. This is a replica of a one-off guitar that only Corey Beaulieu owns. It's called the Blood Angel V, and I got a normal Razorback V painted to replicate the original by a good friend of mine. Sorry!

  • Nice cover man! I like learning these songs faster than normal too, mainly because once I get used to the faster speed, I can start playin it at the normal speed and relax a lot more. I'd be a horrible performer though cause I'd look like I'm bored on stage haha

  • you deserve more views dude....!!!!!!!! thats awsome

  • ??? Weird timing.

  • Song is hella sped up. It's not that I doubt ur skillm but u should redo this so these haters shut their mouths. Plus if it's not too much trouble and u use em, share the tabs?

  • nice, me and my friend did a cover of this song he did guitars i did vocals, check it out youtube.com/watch?v=QleG2Q4CADo

  • Awesome cover maan! but why did you speed it up? I mean the song is 5.41 n your video is 5.20 :) but still awesome vid, Im going to do a cover on this song to n ive already done one on ascendancy ;) check it out^^

  • Fuck you are fast

  • I love it :)

  • I like the song sped up.. :D awesome playing too man.. it helps me hear how the 6262 would sound in a studio setting.. AMAZING!!! I still want to try out the TriRec before I decide on that or the 6262 :D

keep up the great work man.. I already subscribed :D

  • awsome dude 5/5 nice guitar btw

  • dude just wonderin, wat pickups are u usin?

  • Seymour Duncan Blackouts AHB 1.

  • sweet you should do pulling harder on the strings of your matter and anthem we are the fire

  • Comment removed

  • wtf is that speed? o-o'

  • He is playing timed up. about 20 beats.

  • The speed at which your shirt bend, it is obvious that you sped up the time of the video. For the amateurs it's easy to fool, but who really looks at the details, it is clear the edition.

  • Lol, if you want to believe that, that's fine with me. I have absolutely nothing to prove to you, if it helps you sleep at night thinking that I've sped this video up then by all means, continue to believe in that.

But there is no "bend" in my shirt, I could make a video with my alarm clock in view so you could actually see my speed, but I've got better things to do.

  • @rodrigosanni it's clear ! or the 1080p cam he used is some chinese fake camera haha!

  • why is the video speeded up?

  • Video is not sped up, the song is. I play Trivium songs sped up.

  • Did you buy that guitar off corey?

  • the tone is fucking sweet nice guitar too man, one thing alternate picking will help you alot

  • @inf3rnoMKH If you try and play this song, it's much easier to do it his way than alternate pick. Lots of songs/parts of songs are easier to alternate, but some are much easier this way.

  • @farcryguy1 you should always play alternate, with time you'll notice it's much easier anyway. not only to play faster but you can play much longer, like a show ... google "economy picking" \m/

  • nicely done xD pretty sped up

    my respects =)

  • damm i love your guitar, and trivium

  • are you using the pick of destiny? it looks like it. haa

  • Lol no, it's a green sharp Tortex.

  • what is for insatanwetrustslave? xD

    i know him...

  • Well, this is my second cover of the song. He asked me why I don't play Matt's chords during the chorus on the higher strings. So I did it in this cover.

  • It's a guy that also does some pretty awesome covers :)

    Check him out! :D

  • Man, thats a downstroke :)

    Great cover! :D

  • hey i cant alternate pick either lmao.

    good job man!

    keep it upp

  • Man this is terrible! I love your tone.

And your guitar is FUCKIN WONDERFUL !

  • his tone sounds like a marshall practice amp

  • It's tough to get a studio-like tone with 250 dollars worth of equipment. My amplifier is pretty damn good, capturing that tone is pretty difficult.

  • fucking beautiful Obsession Dean Razorback man~

I want the corey V but am afraid of the guitar being too big :/

  • hey man you nailed the cover, i was just stating the obvious, as all trolls on youtube do.

  • awesome man how long u been playin?

  • damn you are very fast!

could u play ember to inferno sped up? haha xD that would be insane

  • Hey whats matts sweep pattern? i cant find a good one anywhere like tab wise i was wondering if you could tell. Since u said you know just it was tricky or something, but yeah is it a 4 string sweep or no?

  • Definitely not a 4 string. It's just an odd shaped 3 string. I'll get back to you on this one, I'm currently at college and don't have my guitar to give you the exact frets lol.

  • Oh okay, cause i do this 3 string sweep, dunno the form, and the i do like 2 hammer on pulloffs but from listening to the vid, last night cause i re watched it, its sounds way different then what i do, lol but anywayas thanks =] no problem i can wait

  • I live in Australia and was just curious, arent you aloud to take a guitar to college?

  • E|-20-17------17-

    B|------18--18-----

    G|--------19--------

Thats the sweep pattern he plays, assuming you already know the notes that come after every two sweeps. ;p

  • Alright sick =] thanks its funny cause i just looked up a grip of tabs and found that when u commented me =] haha thanks, it is a weird way he does it too

  • great cover

    you liking the blackouts?

  • Yeap, getting 'em on my new guitar as well. So it'll make 5 guitars with Blackouts and 1 without haha.

  • Awesome cover man ^_^

    5/5

Keep it up of course :D

  • fucking great

  • Hey dude if u dont mind me asking......whats your guitar set up? Action and String Gauge

    thanx

  • Hey.

For standard E and Dropped D I use Ernie Ball 9-46's hybrid slinky. For 7 string B standard I use 9-46's and a .58 for the low B. For D standard and Dropped C I use Ernie Ball 10-52's.

My action is severely low because I'm mainly a shredder. There's barely any distance from the fretboard to the string, but there's also very little to no fretboard buzz.

  • You should use D'addario strings dude!

  • I'll try out a set some time. The intonation issue is nonexistent with Ernie Ball strings. But I hear D'Addario strings are just as good. I'll have to give 'em a try.

  • D'addario strings are better. I used to use EB strings when I was younger and they just didn't last as long as D'addarios do!

I need to take my Ghost to a shop and get it set up properly actually...I have a lot of fret buzz :(

  • Oh, just adjust the neck!

Remove the truss rod cover and turn the truss rod counter-clockwise. Your guitar will go slightly out of tune but it's no biggie. Just gotta retune!

Adjusting the action at this point is also a good idea lol.

  • Oh lord...is it the saddles on the floyd that does the action?

I can restring a floyd fine, anything else is scary...XD

  • Well, I understand what you're referring to, but it's actually called the bushings. The saddles are what you attach the strings with, i.e. the piece that you use an L key to loosen and take the strings off.

If your Floyd Rose is a licensed Floyd and not an original, then you need a flat head screw driver to adjust the action. Clockwise to lower, counter to higher. If you've replaced the Floyd with an original it then all you need is an L key.

Be careful not to set it too low!

  • Wait...do I do the action with the screws in the back holding the claw? Because that's the only place I see screwable parts [hehe and its still a licensed]

  • There should be two screws on each side of the actual tremolo.

The screws in the back of the guitar are used to adjust the spring tension/string tension. I.E. for tuning.

The screws I speak of to adjust the action is in front of the guitar.

  • Oh I see! I think they're what balances the whole Trem aren't they? The two cylindrical things at the front with the saddles in the middle?

Right well it needs the same L key as I would use for retuning etc.

Also, I'm assuming locking nuts off at this point? Lol

  • Yeap, adjusting the action will knock your tuning off slightly. So you're going to need to retune anyway.

  • So messing with those screws on the trem isn't going to make my Floyd fall off is it... |:

  • Lol! No! Absolutely not. Your Floyd won't fall off unless you completely unscrew them.

  • i use dr to me they are better i just plain love them

  • I get the opposite reaction with D'Addario....Ernie Ball for me all the way......thanx for the info dude! I got the same set up as yours but i use 10-48

  • Damn nice cover. And a damn nice axe to boot!

  • Amazing cover man 5*.

  • another awesome cover man nice job

  • That guitar is so beautiful!

  • great cover

  • Fuckin good job!

    TO BATTLE!!

    Chris

  • You are a legend :-) Glad I could help you with the chorus too! Haha.

I love the tone you get from your amp too...I've been thinking about getting a new amp but I'm not too sure. Had my Line 6 for about 2-3 years and I could do with experimenting more, maybe a Peavey?

Anyway, this is better than your last video of LLTF imo and I too struggle with MKH's sweep shape !_!

    We're only human...but you still get 5 stars ;)

  • Thanks!

And Matt's sweep in this solo is just so weird. I can do the normal 3 string minors, even the 5 string minor and major sweeps with ease. Just the fingering for this particular sweep is just so weird.

And honestly, I'd go for the Bugera 6262. Peavey's are great, but they're not so great at low volume, and don't have a clean channel. On top of that, it's far more expensive.

  • Crikey, that's a bit more expensive than I had planned but we'll see...do they have a version where the amp and cab are combined?

I'll have to see how Santa feels about this maybe :p
