any one else see th gti let off because of the car in front of it, which was switching lanes at the end. I did a pull @60mph agianst a Srt4 with my 2.5 rabbit and it only had me by a car length in a half. and guest what. gti>rabbit
you guys serious? I had a 04 srt-4 with a leak (causing the turbo to spool @ 7psi instead of 14-which is stock setting) and WIPED THE FLOOR with an 09 gti. oh, and it happened on four straight pulls down a stretch, so it wasn't coincidence. Also took an 05 gto, so.......
i thought so too. the srt4 is 2800lbs and 220hp with a shit ton of torque. the gti slightly heavier surprisingly and obviously doesnt have the power of the srt4
you have to figure a 1.8t is SMALLER than a 3.2l srt 4. any car with more liters and a bigger turbo (srt 4) is going to win over something with a smaller turbo and engine. good racing though. I still favor the golf.

No sir, a GTI was actually designed to be a sports car, it can handle autobahn speeds,can run on a racetrack, and if its an r-32 it can just plain clean up the streets.

The guy in the GTI drives like a grandma. I have an '03 GTI and will beat the SRT4 any time.
I don't even know how fast an SRT4 runs but I'm sure I can beat it.
