  • Very disappointed that the website associated to this amazing programme has been taken down by the BBC :(

  • @RikMcCloud No it hasn't, search again, you'll find it. It's on the BBC UK website.

  • I've got the same tape recorder! It's a Sony TC-377. The head cover that says Sony has been took off.

  • @wisteela I have the same tape recorder too! But not powered from test tubes...

  • and this proves why this series is made for stoners

  • And this proves why you arent a stoner, just some little cunt who smokes weed. Reggae is NOT ABOUT THE WEED its about the SOUL, only a true stoner would know this, not some dip shit hitting a bowl saying "yo play bob marleys smoke two joints". Fuckin douchebag.

  • yes because this clip clearly is about soul and wasn't made for comedic purposes.

  • Uhhhhh......

  • Whoa! You need to roll one and get you're head out of your arse. Who put you in charge of reggae?

  • @gypsonny stoners ARE little cunts who smoke weed

  • @StuJee1 actually by definition a stoner is anyone who smokes weed

  • @monteoner yes, you are correct. i was actually just insulting the other guy, but thank you for making that subtle distinction clear.

The implicit point i made was that the other guy was a pretentious nitwit, who seemed to think that weed smoking is some kind of mystical art form - as opposed to being all about turning your brain into marmite and disappearing up your own bumhole.

  • @StuJee1 calm down man, you should smoke some weed

  • @monteoner haha, yeah probably should! but no - been there, done that; took me years to get my brain back

  • @StuJee1 Ditto, glad I stopped.

  • man I really want this song

  • come jam with me mon!

  • Good job cutting it to exactly 42 seconds long, too

  • You're just seeing it in mirror image

  • As Richard Dunn would say, "Reggae... comin' up!"

  • What song is that>?

  • Sister Nancy - Bam Bam

  • that would of been sick if they made one about reggae

  • @chuckeyloCs That would have been the best.

  • Its a shame the clip from the web site is so quiet

  • stalag riddim... well it's better than real rock at least

  • it would be funny if one of those beakers was a bong!!!

  • I thought it was funny how the "chemicals" in the beakers were red green and yellow. haha.

  • hehe, indeed. the essence of reggae

  • the drums, bass and chord progression are definitely "bam bam" by sister nancy, which is a rework of the amazing "what a bam bam" by toots and the maytals.

  • yes, aka stalag riddim

  • It's their own and it's on the website, type in the url at the end of the video (below the BBC logo). There's a menu on the left of the site, click on 'series one', then on 'media bank', it's at the bottom of the page in the 'synthesised music' section and it's piece four :)

  • thanks, I've been trying to get that myself

  • Awesome thanks

  • Thanks ants... thants.

  • Bless you ants...blants.

  • Hah, hah!

  • wicked i was wonderin where i could get it

  • Thanks Andy... thandy.

  • looks like the link no longer works :(

  • it moved. now "comedy" comes before "lookaroundyou" in the url, with a slash between them.

  • Any idea what that song is?

  • I guess it was made just for the show

  • Yeah, I've been listening to a lot of Toots and The Maytals lately, and it just reminded me of this. Thought I'd track it down if it was licensed. Ahh well, cheers, anyway. :D

  • @elefantecontente

Sounds a bit like St. Germain - La Goutte D'Or

  • your going to have to wait till the next episode.

  • @LordNAg It's a version of 'Stalag' by the Techniques Allstars.

  • Comment removed

  • @LordNAg the bassline is from ring the alarm by tenor saw

  • @LordNAg the riddim is from Bam Bam by sister nancy then they added in a few tings. listen bam bam past the intro ull hear it

  • @nickisan You're right as well. Cheers mate. Only took two years! ;)
