I was just glad to see Bradley finally playing a "good guy" because I have always seen that he had the potential but was being typecast as the weasly type of character since he was so good at pulling it off.
I would wager that he took that tax break money and gave it away to charity hopefully.
Smug liberal schmucks were never my thing, but I always thought Bradley Whitford was a very talented actor and I hope he continues to find good roles.

A Hollywood actor is against Bush? Oh my God, how can this be? LOL. Please.....saying you're against Bush these days is like trying to wear the latest fashions...its the "in" thing to do.
Where did you come up with 90%? Bit of an exaggeration...it's around 70%. You were only off by, oh I don't know, 20 points. DO you're homework next time. I'm no Bush supporter either, just someone who supports getting the facts straight...
while it is close to 70, with some more conservative news outlets placing the number closer to 60, it is necessary to remember that this add was published in '04, when President Bush went on to win an election, and when they whole nation was gripped in a nationalistic rampage, where people like Mr. Whitford were ruled unpatriotic. So please, you superficial twit, remember, while the most moronic president is hated by 70% Mr. Whitford is still way cooler than you.
Right. The Youtube video was added in 2006. The actual video ad was made in 2004, while Whitford was still on the show. He was also campaigning with his friend Robert Schiff, also from the West Wing, to elect John Kerry. I saw this ad in 2004 - it was made in 2004. Added here in 2006.
Notwithstanding all the passion and hype surrounding Obama, all the demonisations of the Clintons, and all the attacks on Republicans which make Rove's attacks on Democrats mild in comparison, the facts remain:
I
The first Pres Clinton was the first Democratic Party President to serve a second term--he achieved what everyone post-FDR failed to.
II
The first Pres Clinton's 8yrs was better than the four before and the eight after.
OMG-so we'd end up with Cheney being the offical President instead of just the shadow President which he is now. I'm surprised no one got appointed to fill in for Vice-President Rove, but maybe they figured they didn't need him.

Except that any three year old could point out that President Bush is term limited, is not running again, will never run again, so the "joke" is on him.
He was on the "West Wing" for years and didn't know that US presidents have a two term limit?.
(Notwithstanding the need to respect the Office, as opposed to the abilities and policies of the (wo)man occupying it,) when Presidential elections are between Mr Bad and Mr Worse--as they were in 1988, in 2000 and in 2004--even someone like Mr Bush wins.
As John Spencer, playing Leo McGary in an episode of the West Wing put it so eloquently, I'm tired of having to choose between the lesser of who cares. Of the bar being so law I can barely look at it anymore. my fear is in the current election the democrats will splinter and have a meltdown in the full view of the country, McCain will get elected, and we'll have another 4-8 years of Bush policies.
It is up to at least two parties to provide a decent alternative--the Democrats failing to do that in 1988, 2000 and 2004, and likely 2008 as well, makes them equally responsible.
II
Voters are responsible, too--in none of the above four election years did Democratic Party supporters tell their party that there was something lacking in the offered alternative.
Take any number of decades--in how many elections have the majority of the electorate found Democrats to be the better choice? how many times have they seen the incumbent Democrat President and were convinced he deserved a second term?
POINT TO PONDER:
Notwithstanding Democratic Party supporters' unshakable belief in their own policies and performance, why do they fail to persuade others?
I was just glad to see Bradley finally playing a "good guy" because I have always seen that he had the potential but was being typecast as the weasly type of character since he was so good at pulling it off.

I never cease to enjoy this. Bradley Whitford is a genius. Even if it's not his writing, his delivery is spot-on.

90% disapprove of Bush - that's way too large a majority to be "in fashion". Not supporting Bush is kinda mundane these days.
No, to be really 'hip' you actually have to support Bush in some ironic kind of way.

Mr Whitford: Pres Bush is term limited. You made this in 2008, and you knew this at the time you made it.
So why did you?

If Obama fails to win either in AUG or in NOV, nothing will be to blame except
1 the limits of his actual abilities
2 the limits of his actual achievements
3 the limits of his oratory as a substitute for substance.
IV
If real-life Democrats truly elevated the level of debate in the country to even half what Bartlet/McGary/Lyman sought to,
1 the Democratic Party-controlled Congress won't have even lower support than Bush Jr
2 Democrats would easily win Presidential elections.

If Sen McCain wins, it will be either
A: because he is simply the better choice,
or
B: because Democrats once again are the even worse choice
--in either case, the same one party is to blame, and it is not Sen McCain's party.

thats horrible. I know hes joking but still.....we have no respect for our leaders anymore, too bad.

Respect is due to the Office which the (wo)man occupies.
Not necessarily for the actual abilities and the policies of the particular (wo)man occupying it at the time.
