Me too! Converse are crap as shit if you have flat feet. My feet burn like hot coals when I wear them. I remember I bought a pair of low top converes in 1997, wore them during a day and thought I was dying! Then I found out a brand new New balance store had opened at my local mall. Aventura Mall in Florida. OMFG! I got the their grey heritage shoe that was part of their 99# series. Damn! I WAS WALKING ON FUCKING SUNSHINE!!!

I barely made it into the Army cuz i had flat feet. They were no problem until my late 20's and I had to get custom orthodics from the podiatrist. I envy all the people who say they can run.

Surgery is the only way. Surgery will correct it. Disadvantages: RECOVERY, takes too long....

I was born with severe and moderate pronation.

Never could fix it. Stayed with it. I do not suffer from any pain (strange).

No surgery is not the only way. Surgery consists in putting a nail in your foot to push the heel back in place and support the arch that your weak muscles are not supporting. But what the surgically inserted nail does could be done by strong arch-supporting muscles by strengthening them with exercises, proper shoes and barefoot walking.

I'm a flat footed boxer, and I've never had any pain from it. My punches are the fasest in my gym, and they have alot of power. Despite being flat foot, I have really good footwork. I think part of the problem with injury, is lack of muscle conditioning.

hmm..i have flat feet but they don't give me any pain though when I run or whatever...hmm...im wondering though...when I was smaller and had to wear sneakers with arches..now those!...would hurt my feet with each step. im thinking if maybe those arches conditioned my feet to not hurt anymore, I dunno. well i dont have any arch supporters in my shoes anymore, as long as I don't have those I got no pain doing whatever! ; )

I have very flat feet and my ancles turn to the side and point sideways and i have tried many methods of arch therapy and my feet hurt worse than they did. My feet have no normal shape it kinda looks like a hobbit foot with out all the hair. to put any weight on it for about 10 minutes it starts to hurt like crazy where the arches are supposed to be.

My feet are WAY flatter than this. I have never at any time had any arches. My feet are convex on the bottom and all of my weight is carried on the boneline leading up to the big toe. I have red calloused areas flat on the ground where everybody else has arches.
