  • That settles it then. Feel like i should go with the 900s rather than the 850Ks.

  • track id ? :) lovely! thaks for the vid ellaskins! :)

  • Is this feature only for 900s and 2000s?

I remember when I had numark axis 9s, they had this auto beat loop and scratch slip mode.

Keep up the vids mate, they are brilliant and way better than those aprodj and pioneer ones. Im yet but 15 video's into your 3000 total.

  • you have an arrow in the begining of your vid that says set quantize here...what feature are you referring to ? where would you set quantize and how? thanks

  • track id is: dan berkson and james what - ghost

  • Do i have to analyze the songs with recordbox or does this cdj automatically detects the beat?

  • wooowwwwwwww thats crazy

  • Hahahahahaha Here I am trying to learn how to do these "crappy" loops without any fucking software... the blablabla oldschool right, skilled and talented way... because any DJ will tell you that virtual DJ and all that is too easy and gay... and then I find out that all the pros in the clubs are using something exactly like virutal dj... Come ON!!!

  • Oh man, i didnt know shit about looping before i used Recordbox by pioneer. The quantize thing is awesome, takes seconds to create perfect loops

  • that's just an awesome cdj... but can't afford it = \

  • does the CDJ 900 quantize the loop aswell or is it just the 2000?

  • @gdw22 900 does aswell mate ;)

  • THE CDJ 900 IS LIKE AN "UPGRADE" OF THE CDJ 800 MK2

(more beat loop options and slip mode so u can beat loop without ruining your beatmatch)

THE CDJ 2000 IS LIKE THE "UPGRADE" OF THE CDJ 1000 MK3

(no loops options but the a,b,and c hot cues,, jog adjust,,more little details..)

  • Why the hell is metinotj hatin so much.

Sounds to me like he is jelous and couldnt dj for shit himself.

Get a fuckin life bud and let the man do his thing.

ZOOLOO Nation man...oh wait your too fucking stupid and as far away from music ever to understand something like that!!! By the way i would fucking kill you in a battle i can tell just by your stupidity!!!

  • @MatieuJ Go suck ellaskins balls you fucking asslicker. I challenge you anyday for a battle you fucking pussy. If you like this fucking ellaskins shit, it says enough about your stupidity for djjing. come to amsterdam and we will make a battle fucking homo.

  • ahhaahahahhaahah fucking cunt..the days of make a perfect loops are over ahahahahahah...if this cdj 2000 is tthe first cd player that could make a perfect loop..you fucking pioneer asslicker

  • Man the only poser is you!!!

Let the man do his thing why do you have to be so fucking rude!

CAN YOU SPIN and on tables or are you just a fucking deak humper lol id like to see what you can do.

Cause your as far away from ZOOLOO as one can get.

Go back to your starwars canteen!

  • @MatieuJ You go and suck your daddies cock, you fucking cunt. This is youtube. if someone sucks by doing his thing, he or she must accept the criticise.

  • I can not seem to quantize. I have analyzed my tracks however it doesn't quantize on my CDJ 2000. In the begineing of the video you say "set Quantize here" What exactly do you mean by that? I have read the manuals and tried to find as much information as I can on the web but i have not had any luck making this work. Any help would be much appreciated!!

  • I can't seem to quantize on my Cdj2000. I have analyzed all of my tracks and brought them into drive, however I can't seem to make it work on the cdj themselves. In the beginning of the video it says "set Quantize here" but what are you referring to? Nothing is lighting up on the display. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Do you have a pic of what the case will look like after this modification'

  • What? The quantize feature is just a bonus added feature that makes playing out a whole lot easier...especially for those times you need some extra time to mix out. Plus chopping up a song is much faster so you can spend your time doing more productive things like playing with the sound, fucking up the effects and such...if you think these features are a waste you've never played out and can't appreciate the time this saves when playing on the fly.

  • Traktor has had quantized loops for years and now that a CDJ can do it, it's "groundbreaking"... A lot of CD DJ's call laptop DJ's fake, but they all love the new pioneer functions like loops, hotcues, beatgrids...

  • do you have a dj shop or something :p? u have all the stuff of Pioneer :p?

  • things r gettin far 2 easy 4 me,every man and his dog will be a dj soon.personally i think its a joke, and ul soon all realise this when u cant get a gig anywhere cause every 1 and any 1 can use these things.dont get me wrong iv got cdj 1000 mk3s but i think sum features on this r a step 2 far

  • @mk4sg4eva i agree wit ya but th thing is, if ur a wanna be shitty dj then u wont have the money to buy this :L

  • These features are already available using any laptop linkup....

It's just a matter of time before a cheaper manufacturer brings these features out on cheaper decks.

  • True, I'm a wanna be shitty DJ, and I don't have the money for this. So guess what, I have to learn to do it the old fashioned way. :-) wich is more fun, but this would still be a nice feature to have if your at a gig and would like to improvise a little bit more than just sticking to your set list. Simply gives you more options on the fly. Wich can allow you to react to the croud better.

  • @bally...There are lots of people that can afford these

  • @RGH1502 yes but what i was trying to say was that they're probably good djs who know what ther doing and could be good without all the things the cdj 2000 can do. Some nobody dj starting off isnt gona buy these first thing?

  • I dont know man. There are a lot of rich kids out there.

  • ofcourse but thats why you work for things you should never expect for it to come out from nowhere

  • @mk4sg4eva

I partially agree. But i don't see it as much of a problem. Basic dj'ing is easy and anyone and there dog have been able to do it since the dawn of the DJ. i don't really think that these new features will really help amateurs as much as they will help experienced dj's to get more creative with there mixes. Expensive equipment and crazy tight features can't make a shitty DJ any better

  • I agree this is way too easy!

  • @mk4sg4eva

not every man and his dog can afford a set of these though.... so i wouldn't hold your breath.

  • Does that feature come with the cdj 900? Or are you ment to use the pre-set 1,2,4,8-sidebar buttons on that one?

  • @Yiep Yes, the CDJ 900 features quantized loops as well

  • This is a nice piece of kit. Too bad im still at school and not working but if I had a job I would definately save a couple of months pay for a set of these.

  • Aah! I have all the quantize settings turned to on, both on the player and rekordbox... and can't get quantize to work on the cdj's lol... :/ what did i miss?

  • @WSUPIKES

you have to analyze every track through rekordbox before the player will quantize them

  • Damn bro how the fuk you got the 2000's i'll be crying with happiness if i get 2 800's for christmas i hope i do :)

  • they just keep getting better

  • is there any same feature on cdj 1000 mk3 ??

  • I have denon s3500's and the loop buttons on them suck. I mean you have to be dead on with them and it's hard to do when they're not accurate. This is a great feature but I'm getting Traktor Pro next month no more $2000. purchases.

  • that is bloody amazing!!!

  • track id?

  • yup....laptop Djs is ruling the earth...when was the last time u've seen a club DJ without an Aplle on his laptop? nothing on ellaskins...but i think he's not a laptop DJ.

  • A comment like that could only come from someone from the US, yeah here in Los Angeles people use nothing but serato. But in Europe djs, producers and the like use all sorts of gear including CDJ's, and you are hard pressed to find a bunch of them even touching serato.

But I have much respect for them since they put out over 95% of the hottest dance tracks PERIOD, Djs here imo are more about posing with their serato and dont have much substance and cant even touch most of their djs & producers

  • I'm just waiting for the comments about how this feature is too easy and it kills DJing. Great feature! Great video!

  • I'm not sure how long you have been djing but it's been dead for some time now.

  • 100% agree with you

  • Yep, it's a great feature J. It's actually one of the reasons I moved to a DVS (Torq) a few years ago because of the perfect quantized loop capability. It's great they worked it into the new CDJs.

  • must have some of them ;-)

  • well for me this function makes dj useless person which is only needed to push buttons, come on,skills again

  • fuck,

this is amazing, years ago, back in my day , everything a DJ had wwasa piece of wax

incredible to think how far everything has gone in such a relitivlly short time,

but its kind of sad, (not saying the digital era isnt great, its a lot easier and lot more creative in the mix,)

but now i am going to gigs as a pro, i find it kind of sad, because as a kid i always dreamed of the vinyl, now everywhere i go, i only see the mk 3s, and i just miss the anolouge vonrability of vinyl :(

  • I know how you feel. The SL1200 has stopped production and everything, and it just feels so sad.

  • @catdog69kool get over it.

  • @catdog69kool ...I hear ya, it's alot harder to mix with Vinyl...especially live!

There's not much margin for error with records?

But, there is something very special, spiritual even...about vinyl, that kids today just don't get ?

Also, you would of taught the music would of got better and better, but it hasn't ?

I'll never stop mixing vinyl...even though the convenience of mp3, and you can nearly fit everything into one pocket...makes these machines very attractive to all age groups.

  • @catdog69kool Theres always the DENON DNS 3700's? 9" Rotating vinyl platter :D

  • Numark had S-LOOP (same as quantize) years ago

  • you are rih???cdj 800,mk2,cdj 100,now cdj 200^^ woow,djm 800,1000 etc.you are rich??

  • i think he's being sponsored.

  • he is sponsored of plenty of dealers bcuz he is not advertising, but he is showing you information about plenty of the decks you can buy out there, and sure, who would not be happy to have that :D but think about how many hours he stand to learn all about it, to show us in a simply way.

  • no hes just sooo rich!

  • a solution for a better mix, or a feature to try to get more out of your mix, because you don't need reédit your loop

  • Everyone keeps saying how you can do this with a midi controller and _____ program, but you do realize that the big difference is that this is physical hardware with a much lower risk of failure during a live performance than computer software and a midi controller. Yes, it does suck because it takes some of the skill out of it, but it's all about how you use it. Are you looping for 3 minutes because you can't phrase or mix? Or are you using 4 decks and sampling loops?

  • well, then again, that little cue button on cdj's has a history of failing too, so really you end up at square one with that as well. on a TT you can end up with a busted record or system, on a laptop you can have that crash. basically, you have a risk of that worst case scenario occurring regardless of what setup you've decided to use.

  • so thats basically like the auto function on virtual dj where as if you hit out after an estimated 4 8 16 or 32 beats or whatever it essentially rounds to the nearest loop multiple.

the only thing about this is that the loop will only be perfect if the bpm is read correctly and imperfection will be more noticeable the longer the loop is (?) that said i think this isan amazing piece of equipment. my question is can you jog the loop back and forth along the track?

  • that for me takes some of the fun out of it. the fact that it actualy does it for you. very impressive but not for me. anyone else with me?

  • @MrShandaar i hate when people think backwards

  • this is all well and good but who can honestly afford them???????? :(

  • mate, its fine if you cant count to 4 to set a loop. we wont tell anyone. if you want to pay 1400 for that, thats your business.

  • ???????????????

  • Yea a pair of these would make a pretty nice downpayment for a Mercedes which would be much more worth it I think...especially since you can do all that this does and more using programs like Traktor pro and a midi controller...

  • awesome, i was never good at doing loops but this will make life much easier lol. will changing the pitch affect the loop?

  • omfg..you have one... :( I want a CDJ 2000...

  • this feature itself is almost worth its pricetag alone....

i'd have so much fun with this. but i still love my 1000MK3's :D

  • okk for those who doesnt know, its not that complicated to create loops on the older cdjs.

  • nice man

  • nothing better than everyone's happy

  • Johnathan:

Please do video with explanation how does work reading files from USB memory. I'm curious, if player must first create database on new USB memory, just like Denon players must create database firstly. What will happen if you will connect completely new memory stick with music files, but not processed by Rekordbox software. Is the player able to draw waveform of MP3's on USB memory, even without Rekordbox software? I want to know more details.

  • £1490 X 2 = Forget it, white elephant in the UK

  • MAKE A DJ TOTUR MIX ON THOSE THINGS ! been awhile since we've seen you mix foreal, you got all these people doing tenminmix's for you how about you do one for us ;) lol

  • The final words are TRUE because no one from crowd on party don't care about it, and this example show that you need to choose right moment in track (like you showed on video)

  • Nice players but DEFIANTLY not worth the money.

  • yh i know 1400 quid lol alot but gud for like proper djs in clubs

  • excellent!

  • hmm, make me think

  • There are reports on the Pioneer forum of loops not being tight, and drifting out after a few seconds when played over another track.

Pioneer are saying that a firmware update is coming soon.

People are also having issues with Rekordbox rejecting certain files.

Again, Pioneer are saying an update is coming.

Would be better if they got it right in the first place! :-)

  • Suppose at the end of the day you may get a few Glitches... but as far as i know all is good so far.... once i get my teeth into this and the 900 I will let you know. I personally love the rekordbox as you get to set cue, loops and .... well weight and see!

  • @ Groovindj

I would love to see you show us your version of the source code for quantizing audio perfectly.

Not even Traktor with the support of a OS can do it 100% correct.

  • Well Ableton Live makes a pretty good job of it. The warp feature is impressive.

I've warped stuff with a tempo that's up and down like a yoyo, and Live locks it down precisely.

  • I agree Nemesis, ps dont listen to groovindj, hes a known "know it all" thinks he knows every bit of kit, - and then uses a numark usb mixer..... speaks volumes really... cant wait for more vids on this j

  • way over rated , exact same features as the cdj 400 in my eyes and 3-4 times the price

  • well the 400's are 700 so they are very close to 2 times the price. with no beat quantization, hot cues or the 1 usb device feeding music to up to 4 players, your comment is herein rendered void. because you are retarded.

  • @K1LLGANNON ya have to be a tit to pay 700 for 400s , i got them for 420 each and who the fuck is gonin to buy 4 cdj 2000's

    + cdj 2000s are 1, 650 EACH

  • @dildotester if you paid less than $699 usd for a single cdj 400, you bought from an unauthorized dealer and you bought a player that came with a voided warranty. and as far as side stepping the amazing media distribution capabilities of the 2000 and coping out on quantity, one usb device will also feed 2 of these. what are you "gonin" to say next you "tit".

  • @K1LLGANNON hu gives a shit there still cdj 400s

    ya four eyed cunt

  • Haha! Name calling is admittance of defeat in my book. You know how they were able to offer you that price? It's called a "factory second" which means that either internally or externally the unit you purchased is not perfect, and when that imperfection causes equipment failure you will have to buy a new one instead of being able to utilize your warranty. And seriously? "four eyed cunt"? Either you are digging deep into your grade school years, or you're still there. Haha. make me laugh again?

  • @K1LLGANNON haha ur a joke m8

  • look at that, he had one more half-baked pseudo-insult left in him after all. Let's all give NumbMuzik a round of applause for his gross display of anti-intelligence!!! Woooooo!

  • lol dildotester... haha grow up

  • you can get a cdj 400 for less then $699 from a authorized deal you just gotta know how to talk to them. they just cant advertise less than $699 (MAP)

  • that's cool men.

  • awesome tutorial, shame they cost a ridiculously large amount of money and 99% of the viewers here will never be able to afford them

  • i guess i'm that 1 percent then :)

  • agreed. I only need one testicle, but I need two of these. lol anyone need a replacement nut? i happen to have an extra.

  • I could buy it, but it's a waste of money. If I buy a pioneer, I buy a cdj 1000 mk3

  • perhaps 2-3 years down the road. remember the 1000s when it 1st hit the shelves?

  • the CDJ1000s are still like £1000 each, so it's not like most can afford those either. They're all hugely overpriced because Pioneer has a chokehold on the industry. A CDJ 2000 costs 2-3 times more than a laptop, and yet it has a tiny scren and can do 1000 times less than a laptop can do. Put simply they are a rip off.

  • wow. that is awesome
