I agree with the lex part, but I actually thought the whole clark/lana relationship had more than run it's course they would break up and then (even though the show firmly established that they didn't belong together) they would get back together again only to break up again for the exact same reasons as before, wash rinse repeat! it reminds me of the Sam/Diane relationship from Cheers
