@westcoaster01 Thanks for your feedback on the film! Yes, the captain (Christian) met Derek few years ago, and stop at his place just before he was launching his boat. I didn't meet him personally, but he is certainly a charismatic and inspiring man.
in this passage we used a Sony HDV camera which, unfortunately, i can't remember the name. Similar to a handycam, but wasn't full HD and was a 2005 model. It wasn't mine, that's why I can't remember the exact model. It was a beautiful object though, and nice lens.
The last one, passage from Vanuatu to NZ, instead, was a Canon Vixia 10, model 2008. Now they are much better with bit/sec and quality. But I need a decent stabilizer, and a waterproof eqpm.
