Have a lot of respect for Michael Paynter - He is sometimes compared to John Farnham, which vocally is a compliment, but Michael has something John Farnham doesn't - his prowess on guitar and piano. A band in the 90's, Southern Cross whose lead singer Jack Jones, married Rebecca Gibney, was also compared to JF, and like Michael Paynter toured with him. Southern Cross produced some outstanding love songs that I'm sure would suit the singing style of MP - Just hope MP's career exceeds them both.

ive been a fan of john farnham for a very long time [whispering jack days] and when ever i hear that someone is attempting a cover of a john farnham song i cringe, he has such a unique and individual voice that it is hard for anyone to try one of his songs.
