since I saw the Diablo 3 announcement (which was introduced by the GENIUS Matt Uelmen playing Tristram theme),i thought Diablo 3 would have it's music composed by him
well just 3 hours ago,i realised he won't be the composer of diablo 3 music,but i've just read that he left instructions to the new composers to continue with the line of diablo1 and 2
OK,then after hearing the new songs of d3 and knowing how "WoWzard" is,I'm pretty sure we will be playing d3 with the super mario theme
You guys do realize this isn't actually the official soundtrack, right? They might use elements of it in the game, but all the music on youtube has been taken from the D3 site, where it's just meant to be ambience.
It does not say anything to me. Only strange sounds. Even WoW has better music! I can't belive the final OST will be close to this. Sc2 has better soundtrack!
@andraken i dont know how to say, but ambience fits better to a game like diablo. diablo (1) had only ambience too and this game had the greatest atmosphere. i didnt liked the music of diablo 2 that much because there wasnt anymore this dark fearing atmosphere so you were frightened to go in the next room and look what kinda cruel monsters are in it. you were really scared... in diablo 2 i didnt had this feeling. sorry but those games need ambience no music
@oroter these are boooring ambiences, not creepy -.- and anyway how can you say there no ambience music in Diablo 2? Listen to the Arcane Sanctuary, or Sewers or Maggot Lair! I agree on LOD soundtrack, too much orchestral, but Diablo 2 was done like Diablo 1, maybe more with oriental influences...
On the whole I agree. A lot of the D2 music is great, but in act 5 for example, the music in the background kind of ruined it for me a bit. Very little atmosphere. The Worldstone Keep used the trumpety theme tune from the menu ffs...

I herd diablo 3 is sorta like wow all bright colors and stuff..I'm pretty upset about that becasue I'm more into the dark theme of diablo then the fruity side of it haha .. T_T But I am going to try it out :D
