Suzanne Ciani is the same woman who performed the jingle for Columbia Pictures Television from 1976-1988 when Columbia Pictures Television had the Famous Sunburst as well as the Torch Lady during the Coca-Cola Years
Wow! I don't ever remember seeing that before. Kinda cool to see that after all these years. I can't imagine what my 7 year old mind would have made of that if I had seen back in 1980.
Damn, 30 years ago, my parents loved this show though it only lasted 2 months, congrats, I'm 30 now, grew up on Dave thanks to my folks letting me stay up late as a kid, I love the guy, you are cute, good stuff!
Thanks for posting this clip. It makes me smile the entire time I am watching it. You have a facinating history and I continue you follow your career breathlessly.
This was fantastic to watch! Thanks for uploading this. I still love every sound that your synthesizer there made- I don't think people use those sounds now anymore... they sounded so space-like and futuristic... it's kind of funny; 30 years ago, that sounded more futuristic than the stuff around now...
Was the giant growing sound, that Dave thought was going to "blow up" the studio, using the Eventide Harmonizer's feedback? Or was that something just the Prophet was doing?
Great clip. I wish there was an hour of you demoing. And without it being mocked...
thanks for posting this video clip, it was done late 70´s or early 80´s but still this is something to remember how electronic music gears was just plain crazy to carry all this kind of equipment. Now we are living the golden age of electronic music.
Not exactly "late-night fame" considering Letterman was a morning show after "Today" back then. None the less, a big thanks for posting the great clips!
Makes me wish it was 1980, I was only 6 years old then but would like to be 36 at this time...........damn

That was funny and great. That looks like either a rev1 or rev2 Prophet 5.

It was done with the Prophet. The filter rises while the pitch lowers. Glad you like it!
