  • @r18LG Your mother's vagina is terrible, and I question how you managed to slither from that disgusting sperm-cavern.

  • sounds like Brian Eno. This is a good thing.

  • i love the movie it is sooo awosem i love it it rocks ahh ahhh ooohh ahhh i wan,t part 2 !!!! T-T

  • love this song... so beautiful... magic...

  • Good film. Still doesn't touch Bladerunner and its mediatations on replicants/clones and real/synthetic, Memory/Programmed Imagination.

Sam Rockwell is great in this, but doesn't come close to Rutger Hauer in BR.

Partly due to performance and partly due to the original text.

Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?

  • @PerignonPop Booooooooooooooo go away

  • @PerignonPop How does Blade Runner even come to your mind? The two films are nothing alike.

  • @MrDeicide1 They're about precisely the same thing. Different settings and action, but the core of the films is identical. Replicant/clone and artificial memory. Replicant/clone desparate to survive and unwilling to accept his destruction or that he is not 'real'. That's how I see them anyway. Sam Bell doesn't spend an hour and a half chasing Rutger Hauer around an LA of the future, but the premise is the same.

  • @PerignonPop "Precisely the same", "identical" and "premise is the same" really add weight to your argument. BR had Artificial Life, basically an android, a biomechanical creature as far removed from humans as we are from computers. They KNEW what they were (recall Rutger's descriptions of his adventures). They also KNEW that they were real, simply with programmed short lifespan. Sam Bell was as human as you and I, cheated out of his life and with altered DNA time-bomb.

  • @PerignonPop Part 2: If you compared it to a movie about an escape from a concentration camp -- It would be a more pertinent comparison to the subject matter.

  • What was playing during closing credits? I don't think this was it. Someone help?

  • @TrueNorth10 This was the song that played at the credits, but it was extended and slightly mixed.

  • @0YtsanBlowout0

Yes, you are correct. I prefer the extended version better although I've only heard it the one time.

  • He's making Mass Effect 3 songs :D

  • 'There is so many of them...Why is there so many of them?'

  • @Jaureez that must be atleast 300 years worth of Sam Bells.

  • FAN-TAS-TIC

  • PS I've lost faith in award shows. Can't stand them.

  • Sam is a superb actor and was perfect for this role. Kevin Spacey is also a very good actor and his voice just fit GERTY so well. And Clint Mansell created the PERFECT seriously FLAWLESS atmosphere with this soundtrack.

Simply put. Moon is a masterpiece.

  • @counterclockwise123 Please do not forget of the guy who directed and wrote the film. Duncan Jones, the SON OF DAVID BOWIE!

  • Watched the movie alone. Been living alone for a while. Heightened my loneliness. Sympathized with Sam Bell and then with myself. :( Gerty, take me out of here, I want to go home.

  • This song is fucking awesome. So awesome, infact, I heard it on TopGear and knew i'd heard it before...so i've been trying to track it down for an hour- gotcha, buddy. Full blast. Epic.

  • you look like a radioactive tampon

  • This song really upped my emotions when it played during the movie. It made me feel as alone as Sam in the moon.

  • Moon and Sunshine had such amazing soundtracks...God bless the British for keeping Sci-Fi such a beautiful genre <3

  • 3 people need go at moon

  • very godd soundtrack , is rare for me dowldoad a full soundtrack of a movie

  • Gerty..

  • Great song

  • Sorry This seems way off Topic But... Minecraft ;-)

  • @TheEvilMojang Yea it's wierd but this song reminded me of minecraft for a bit...Great piece of music Mansell.

  • @MrSkybreaker959 Yeah notch should ask to implement this into the game, say when you're entering the nether?

  • @iPurpleGalaxyi That would be awesome :)

  • philip bloom + clint mansell = pure domination

  • I hadn't listened to this in a while. I started crying uncontrollably in the first 2 seconds. That must say something about this.

  • The crewmembers on the rescue ship have seen this....

  • @Dextomus much more creative than the usual dislike comments! I applaud you!

  • Feels like I am floating..... sleeping in a cradle in a submarine below water,

Gerty's putting on a lullaby to put me off to sleep 0:00 - 1:24

And then Sam Bell is moonwalking towards me to take my hand for a dance <3

    1:25 - 1:54

Then we go down to the nursery and wake up the other Sam Bells and party like it's 2012 haha 1:55 - 2:47

Gerty's doing the robot dance, every one's invited ;-)

and then back to sleep 2:48 - 3:38

That's an average day for me ;)

  • Sam: Three people disliked it you tell me why! YOU TELL ME WHY!

Gerty: We need to get them to the infirmary. : (

  • Where can i find the piano sheets for this song? I really want them...

  • does anyone have a download link for this song? preferably free.

  • Clint Mansell should've been the one to create the soundtrack for the harry potter films.

  • this movie deserves lot more recognition, it was a truly well made movie, in both acting, storyline, and soundtrack.

  • i love the m600 review which uses this music

  • fav part of the movie

  • Clint Mansell is going to compose the score for Mass Effect 3. It's going to be EPIC.

  • @RobLangdonIsStupid WAT...Music to my ears YES:)

  • I would love to see this performed live.

  • Best part 1:30

  • Cold chills. All over your head, spine, body.

  • I love this score. Its brilliant how Mr Mansell combined a child-like tune with an ominous, more complex feel.

  • I love this movie so much. I wish I was able to see the end.

  • Just watched this film today.. I don't know why I never seen it in the cinemas when it came out in 09.. Weird. I liked it.

  • I am becoming a child when listening to this song! Back to 1988 ))

  • 2 people must die.....

  • @Aktorski

No need. They're already dead inside.

  • very beautiful song

  • This track is "just" amazing during 1:25.....after that, it becomes something else...

  • I love how the soundtrack maintains a baby toy sound to it as they are just fully grown Baby clones. Very clever idea for the sound.

Amazing film. I have watched it through about 10 times now.

  • @justabloke1 yeah makes you think that this track should have been titled "the nursey"

  • the start makes me feel like crying, lamenting the clone who never had a childhood, never truly lived on Earth and will never make it back :'(

then at 1:27, the ambition of the scandal that it creates when the healthy clone gets home... wonderful movie, wonderful soundtrack

  • only 1 word AMAZING!

  • One person will never have the opportunity to go back home

  • The beginning sounds like something out of Minecraft, or is it just me?

  • @AbortFlight Same mincraft

  • 1 person is an idiot

  • *______*

  • Ass-to-ass!

  • Clint Mansell returns for Ducan Jones's new movie Source Code, YAY!

  • I shaved my balls earlier to this soundtrack. It made the process much more calming and soothing.

  • @Blakeyisbuffed LOL.

  • EPIC

  • excellent!

  • Clint Mansell is great.

& I love love love this movie!

  • clint´s best work since requiem for a dream !

  • @perx711 the fountain's good too

  • great song

  • @TheClockworkGamer Duncan Jones mentioned in an interview that he wants to do a sequel called "Mute", which will be like the opposite of Sam Bell's story, which was a film about isolation. And that it's set in future Berlin, and Sam Rockwell will have a cameo as Sam Bell. Apparently he's aiming for a trilogy, three films set in the same universe as Sam Bell's. :)

  • @Nushicat That would be SO awesome!

  • This song captures the essence of the film. Mysterious, haunting and beautiful.

  • There's too much audio resonance in this piece of music (I hope I'm using the right terminology). It seems to be causing a lot of distortion on my normal laptop speakers. Maybe it's because of the overlapping bass lines?

  • Comment removed

  • This film is perfection through simplicity, simple plot but very complex themes and characters.

  • Coventry Represent

  • This song has a really dreamy quality to it..............sleeeepyy. Goodnight......8)

  • Just watched the movie. I've liked Sam Rockwell ever since I saw him in Lawn Dogs. This was a great movie and a beautiful soundtrack. This song in particular.

  • this song just makes me.....think haha

  • a sequel is in development according to wiki, i don't know if it's just a rumor though

  • @TheClockworkGamer check imdb if it ain't there it ain't being made

  • so glad i saw this movie on the big screen... the music is astonishing

  • Makes my hair stand on end around 2:15

  • 2009 kicked ass, I feel like I don't even need to go to the theater this year, at least 10 films from 2009 are endlessly entertaining and beautiful to watch at home over and over again.

  • This is what i fear happening now that the private is virtually being relied upon for the future of space exploration/travel in the U.S.. Private interest (i.e. corporations) can and will not only have the power to take over the US, the world, and who knows space, scary.

  • Just got done watching it. I thought it was good. At first, I was skeptical; it seems like every movie with having to do with space has a robot that is malevolent (2001: A Space Odyssey, Sunshine???, etc.) That isn't the case in this film. I'm glad to see they somewhat switched it up.

  • @LeandroTheLazy

It never crossed my mind but you are right! That movie was awesome. I mean, it was totally thrilling but there was so much more ...

I advise everybody to watch in an altered state of mind!

  • A lulleby...and the "twinkle" sound reminds me of space....

  • i'm glad the other sam made it out of there, but its sad to think that he won't live very long on earth, considering he's a clone and all... plus it seems he will also encounter quite a bit of persecution on earth

  • i felt so sad when you see the old sam look up at the return pod right at the end.

  • so sad and lonely.......

  • I LOVE this piece, it was so fitting in the ending. I felt so satisfied.

  • Song actually compelled me to sit through the credits and listen. That 's extremely rare for me. Fantastic piece.

  • You should do it more often and appreciate the work people have done on a movie.

Also, it helps to let the emotions you have felt during the movie sink it.

  • @TheOnlineCommunity I did the same thing...and this was the end cedit, wasn't it?

  • @TheOnlineCommunity - The Moon soundtrack and the Scarface soundtrack also did that for me. This is an awesome movie.

  • @TheOnlineCommunity

Indeed, the song just grasps you. Amazing piece of art

  • Amazing movie; even more amazing music.

  • " The man is a wacko .... probably an illegal imigrant or something .... he should be locked up."

  • movie was different, wasnt very epic like most of the movies that come out. But I liked it.

  • Epic?

  • @Tyranan What do you mean it wasn't very epic like "most of the movies that come out"

You think most of the garbage that has been released in the last several years was epic? What movies have you been watching?

  • I agree adore...

This was as great as they come. How the hell did Sam pull it off on his own, I know an awesome script writer is needed and direction... but an actor is needed to pull it off as well.

    Film is awesome!

  • I agree. Epic has different meanings. It doesn't JUST mean explosions and firefights.

  • @FF7ACJW Nicely worded.

  • We're Not Programs, Gerty, We're People.

  • Yeah don't get me wrong, the film way okay, it was different...just wouldn't threaten my top ten films =) lol

  • its a matter of perspective i guess. i really liked the ending. i thought it fit perfectly with the movie but if i force myself to play devils advocate i can see why people don't like the ending.

  • love it!!!!

  • Amazing song.

  • Clint Mansell has to be one of the greatest composers.

  • what genre is this exactly??

simply amazing, clint mansell is one of the best :D

  • don't know if anyone answered you, but I would consider it post-rock. If you like it I would recommend bands like Explosions in the Sky, Jakob, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and This Will Destroy You. That should give you a decent start and I have no idea why all the post-rock bands have such long names?

  • AHAHAHAHA you're right. except Mùm!

  • Beautiful. Clint is the man.

  • Brilliant soundtrack

  • this song is so amazing
