  • People: *just reading books/studying* "Whats that noise? Idk but its getting LOUDER!!!!"

  • lame+epic ?

  • and the school librarian just had a heart attack

  • @DrunkNinja19 Its the same thing with America... typing in America would get me info on the USA not the AMERICAS.... if i need something on the Americas i'd type in the americas... just as if you needed something on Wales I'd hope thats what you'd type in....

  • @coveringend And yes, it's the exact same thing with the US. If I type in "US" or "USA", I should not be getting universities like "University of South Alabama" or whatever. Just as with the abbreviation "UK", "US" is equally synonymous with the country and NOTHING ELSE, so it would be CONFUSING to the vast majority of people to put the abbreviation anywhere near your title. Same goes for plenty more abbreviations - if your uni gets shortened to CIA, FBI or SAS, use it a bit more wisely.

  • @coveringend Also the title says "UK students". I wanted to find UK students, so I typed in UK students. I instead got university of Kentucky students, which is not what the vast majority wants when typing that in. There are hundreds of thousands more UK students than university of Kentucky students, and what's more they've been more prominent in the news - UK student protests, UK student riots, UK students go crazy in Salou, record number of UK students etc. Therefore, the title is confusing.

  • @coveringend Also, just noticed you didn't actually reply to me, just tried to make it look like you had.

I'll be watching this video for months to check for people doing that, so it's not going to work. I won't comment here ever again if everyone just buggers off with these ignorant arguments though.

  • @DrunkNinja19 you'll be checking this video for months??? Sweetie, do you not have a life? You left all of these long winded rants. no one cares, sweetie. No one cares.

  • @ksb78 lol, I honestly wonder how some people just can't understand how spending one minute every other day checking a video for comments does not mean you have no life. People spend far more time browsing twitter than that, It's a pretty miniscule amount of time. I can assure you I've got a better life than you, especially if you're going to a US uni. Enjoy your fortnightly parties kid ;)

  • @ksb78 And no-one cares? Tell that to the wankmuffins who keep replying to me. What, you think I want to be here? I made a throwaway comment over a year ago and it gets dredged up by someone with issues. After he's fucked off I forget about this video for NINE MONTHS until some cuntmuffin decides it's a good idea to pick a fight on the internet.

I am only here because people like you keep messaging me. If you'd all just fucked off in the first place I wouldn't be making a single rant.

  • @DrunkNinja19 was up with you and muffins

  • @Rockod2 I don't know :( the word sounds funny to me I guess.

I think "weird" is the technical term for people like me

  • @DrunkNinja19 If I wanted to look up THE UK I would type "THE UK"... or maybe/ most likely THE UNITED KINGDOM... where as if I wanted to look up the University of Kentucky I'd type UK or UofK... the same with MSU of LSU...

  • @coveringend You don't understand. This is a search engine and it uses keywords, including keywords from the title, to perform searches. Not only that but the word "the" is removed from searches because it is far too common. Therefore, there is no difference between a search of "the UK" and "UK".

So the abbreviation "UK" should NOT be used for videos of the university of Kentucky on an international community like youtube. EVER.

  • @coveringend The abbreviation "UK" is completely and utterly synonymous with the UK. 99%+ of people from both the UK and the US will be searching for the UK rather than this university when they type "UK" into the search bar. So it is completely and utterly stupid to use this as a keyword or in the title, especially at the beginning of the title. This is proven by the confused comments, and the previous top comments saying the same thing that I've been saying that got hundreds of likes.

  • @coveringend If you want to abbreviate your university then fine. Among people who'd understand this, again, "UK" would be fine. On an international community though? Not acceptable at all, and in fact, it's fucking confusing for most people.

Most people search just "UK" if they want a video about the UK, and it's more common to abbreviate it than say United Kingdom, just as more people say USA than United States of America.

  • who gives a fuck about this stupid, who's country is best shit. The UK isn't a country but a collection of 4 countries all great in their own right. The only people who call themselves British or from the UK are the English. we Welsh class ourselves as just that, Welsh, the Scots are the same

  • @chrisford82 To be fair, I don't care either, I was just called out on it.

And I'm sorry, but bollocks. Wales is not a country, Scotland is not a country, England is not a country, Northern Ireland is not a country - they are CONSTITUENT countries. The UK is a country however, the only one that can truly be called so, with Westminster as its parliament and British as its nationality.

  • @chrisford82 I am Welsh, I am from Camarthen and I do not care for Wales anymore than I care for England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are all dead terms to me, and I'd be one hell of alot happier if everyone stopped using them.

And wrong again - the majority of Welsh and Scottish people DO recognise the fact that they're British, it's just that some choose to say that they are Welsh first, British second. Most Welsh and Scottish people I know do that, unfortunately.

  • @chrisford82 So no, the UK is a country in its own right unlike Wales and England which are constituent countries, and British is our nationality whether people recognise that or not (passports alone would prove that). The Beatles are from the same country as you and share your nationality, as are all the English, whether you like it or not.

And as far as I'm concerned, I'm only "Welsh" when the rugby's on.

  • Youtube won't let me post the link, but its on "The Daily Beast" website entitled "Interactive Infographic of the World's Best Countries" by Newsweek.

  • @MedStud15 So, yeah. I'm not saying that the UK is the most important at the moment, I agree that that would be daft to say, and I actually quite like and respect your country, despite some comments. I apologise for some of the things I've said - some of it was a little over the top - but I just don't take kindly to my country being so rudely dismissed.

I don't see much point in arguing anymore, so I think I'm gonna drop it now. All the best mate.

  • BTW on no rankings of importance is the UK above 4th in the world and on most it is 7 or below. The most reliable list I could find takes into account multiple factors like education, quality of life, and political environment. The US is 11th on this list, while the UK is 14th. No where near the top or the most important county in the world as you claim. There are no rankings which place the UK higher than the USA.

  • @MedStud15 Also I see why you keep calling me insane now. I didn't mean that the UK is the most important country RIGHT NOW, there'd have to be something wrong with me to think that. What I said instead is that the UK is one of, if not the, most HISTORICALLY important countries, i.e. saying that our past achievements were tremendously important. I was thinking along the lines of industrial revolution rather than current importance.

  • @MedStud15 And I acknowledge that my claim is still debatable as there's a few other nations up there, such as Rome, ancient Greece, ancient China, France and of course your own, however the UK is certainly up there. That, coupled with the fact that we're still pretty important now (nowhere near as important as the US obviously, but still important) means that the UK really shouldn't be dismissed so harshly.

  • You will support your views no matter how much evidence you are presented with that they are wrong. You will continue to insult a country that saved you from the brink of destruction by the German nation. You will continue to insult the country who is the light of freedom and equality to the rest of the world. Your blindness to the reality of the situation is appalling. I have nothing but respect for the UK, but you have made me think twice about the character of its people.

  • @MedStud15 Actually, I have more than enough evidence to prove my point of view. You have no idea. At this point though, I'm pretty sure you've misunderstood me - not many people would deny that Britain has a claim to being incredibly historically important. You probably just think I've said that we're the most important right now, or something.

  • @MedStud15 You misunderstand, mate! I do NOT hate the US at all, I just don't like cocky Americans who think that the world doesn't exist outside America, and think that their university is more well-known than my entire country.

  • @MedStud15 If you want to know, I actually love your country, I just think you can be pretty full of yourselves sometimes. Your country is beautiful, your people are friendly and genial, your cities are brilliant, your entertainment (not least your films) is so often incredible. Your history may be short but it is colourful, your economy is booming and you have advanced society and civilisation in many important and wonderful ways.

  • @MedStud15 I like your country, and I like many of its people. I acknowledge and respect your achievements and importance to the world. However, when someone rounds on me and tells me "your country is shit and unimportant, leave", then suddenly I'm a hell of alot more likely to point out your flaws. For all your achievements you are still full of yourselves sometimes, and while a great country, you are still not quite as all-encompassingly astounding as so many of you believe.

  • @MedStud15 So yeah, there's plenty to love and respect about your country and love and respect it I do. However many of you need to get over yourselves, and when my nation is insulted and yours held on a pedestal I am going to point out some of your glaring flaws and champion my own country.

Also we really did save ourselves from Germany in WW2, the Battle of Britain was pretty key.

  • I'm not going to bother arguing with you anymore when you can't see the reality right in front of your face. Whatever dreamland you live in or whatever drug you are on must be very nice. You insulting my intelligence proves the invalidity of your argument. I have no qualms about my intelligence, the culture of my country, or the importance of the UK. The simple fact that you are the only person supporting your skewed world views on here leads to the assumption that its not that big of a deal.

  • @MedStud15 If you're not going to bother arguing, why the hell did you post this bollocks? More likely, you just realised that I'm right - it's pretty bloody obvious. Have a think, it's not hard to see.

I'm insulting your intelligence because you tried to suggest that 1. this university is more likely to be associated to the abbreviation "UK" in America, and 2. you tried to tell me that over 62 million Americans have need to search for your uni, roughly 20% of your country.

  • @MedStud15 Actually, if you look over the comments section you'll find quite a few people equally annoyed, it's just that I'm seemingly the only one who's called out on it.

My original comments are over a year ago, and some fucknugget calls me out on it. 1 year! Do you think I give a fuck about this after all that time? I'm only doing this right now because you were dumb enough to call my country "unimportant", which as you've coincidentally proven yourself, it is not.

  • And the fact that UK and University of Kentucky have the same amount of hits in the google search engine.

  • Considering that the group of people in the USA who would have a reason to search for the university of kentucky encompasses a larger population than the UK.

  • Also learn to use a search engine better then. Just FYI 22% of youtube traffic comes from the USA so you're kidding yourself if you think 99% of people in the world who search for this on youtube are not looking for the university. Considering America has far more people than the UK, its a safe assumption that most people who type in UK are looking for the university.

  • For the record, you're why Americans think the rest of the world is so dumb. And even if we are half as special as we think we are, that still makes us far more special than you.

  • Really, if you want to get technical, the USA is older than the UK, since the term "UK" has only been used since 1801 to refer to Great Britain and Ireland. What you're really referring to is Great Britain I'm assuming? Which would make your whole argument invalid... Not that it wasn't before or anything.

  • In fact, if we hadn't come and helped, there would be no UK right now. So if you want to argue with me, explain to me why someone using an abbreviation to refer to somewhere they live, work, study, and play is wrong because it just so happens its also the abbreviation for a country as well? Just so you know, I have no connections to the university, and I have many friends who live in the UK.

  • And if you want to get into culture, America has people from all over the world here. European influence, in particular the United Kingdom, is only a small part of our culture now. You're deluding yourself if you think the rest of the world sees the United KIngdom as some superpower nation. Whens the last time the UK was important in a war? Thats right, WWII. Guess what happened then. America came and bailed all of Europe out of that mess.

  • Are you honestly from the US? Anyone who has gone to college here would immediately think it meant the university, and anyone who didn't probably doesn't even know what the United Kingdom is. Your argument is based on what? The whole point is that its an outrage that someone in the USA would use an acronym in the title of their video right? Type UK into Google and guess what comes up first... Thats right the university.

  • @MedStud15 Are you honestly this retarded? No, seriously?

Almost anyone from the US would immediately think it refers to the United Kingdom. 99% of the world would think that. Unless you've specifically been to college to the university of Kentucky or live nearby, they would automatically assume the country considering how incredibly important and influential it has been throughout history and continues to prove to be.

UK is SYNONYMOUS with the United Kingdom.

  • @MedStud15 Honestly, there's something wrong with you if you think people would assume it's your crap university. Think about it - if someone says "UK" they automatically think of foremost power in the 19th and early 20th centuries, largest empire in the world, one of the largest economies, has leading economic, cultural, military, scientific and political influence, had the industrial revolution, the world's financial capital, the Queen, the Beatles, GTA, James Bond etc.

  • @MedStud15 Pretty much EVERYONE in the US knows that the UK means the UK and NOT some shit university.

"Not even know about the United Kingdom", are you retarded? Your countrymen aren't THAT dumb. Everyone knows about the country that fucking spawned them for fucks sake, it's probably the only country besides Afghanistan they can all recognise. Everyone knows about the Queen, everyone knows the stereotypical "British accent", the Beatles are the highest selling music act ever in the US etc.

  • @MedStud15 My argument is based on the fact that some retard - possibly you considering you only made this account yesterday for this argument - used the UK to describe some crappy university instead of the supremely important and brilliant nation that is the UK.

Type UK into Google and guess what comes up first.... that's right, the UNITED KINGDOM. How about actually checking that first before making some idiotic assumption and being proven wrong?

And that would be even more stupid if true.

  • @MedStud15 Getting into culture, 1. that isn't your culture and 2. it is a watered-down, pale imitation of what the rest of the world has.

That's exactly it mate, you don't have anything of your own, you just repackage some of what the rest of the world has to offer and claim it for yourself. All your favourite foods, furniture, holidays, music even, almost all of it derives from another, better nation.

  • @MedStud15 There is nothing cultural about the US, nothing you truly have for your own. Even your fucking national anthem is just a British song, you just switched out some of the lyrics to make it more patriotic! You certainly cannot compare to the UK in terms of culture either, we have a far stronger heritage with greater traditions that are actually our own.

  • @MedStud15 You're deluding yourself if you think British influence has no influence over your culture. Your language is from us; your system is law came from us; your politics system evolved from ours; your taste in humour evolved from ours; American football evolved from rugby; you got baseball from us; your staple diet derives from us; your holidays are from us. Fuck, even your national anthem came from the UK.

Almost every aspect of American culture has its roots in the UK.

  • @MedStud15 Where'd you think you got your religion from us too? Fact is mate, you may have influences from the rest of the world, but the foundations of your nation, the very bedrock of your culture, you inherited from us.

  • @MedStud15 The UK is NOT a superpower and I never said it is. I said it WAS a superpower, and is NOW a world power. Right now I know we're not supremely all-powerful and I never said that we are. I never said that we're currently more powerful either. That doesn't change the fact that we're still an important and powerful nation though - permanent member of the UN security council, part of the EU, G8, G20, OECD, Council of Europe, World Trade Organisation, NATO and Commonwealth of Nations.

  • @MedStud15 At the moment I know we're not more important, but we are still hugely important and as one of the world's foremost economies, financial capital of the world and nuclear power, we are infinitely greater and more important than some shit American university.

Therefore, whichever fucknugget made the video should not have used "UK" as an acronym, as the ENTIRE WORLD, including the vast, vast majority of Americans, assume the important and powerful country that is the UK.

  • @MedStud15 When's the last time, oh I don't know, Iraq and Afghanistan? Besides, I never said we're the most powerful now - I just said we ARE powerful, very much so, and back at our height, more powerful than you. In fact overall, the only nation that has historically had comparable importance to the development of the world is ancient Greece - we've had a much larger impact on civilisation than you yanks.

    Cheers for Inception though. ;)

  • @MedStud15 Oh yeah, World War 2. What ACTUALLY happened then? Why, I believe that Britain saved ITSELF by crushing the Luftwaffe at the Battle of Britain thus thwarting any chance of being invaded, and then continued to fight alone in bombing runs over Northern Europe, in the Atlantic, in the Meditteranean, in the Middle East, in Eastern Asia and Burma, in Northern Africa, in central Africa, in Southern Africa and in Madagascar before you lot even fucking got involved.

  • @MedStud15 As for "bailing all of Europe" out of that, sorry, no you didn't. the fact that you didn't save the UK is not in dispute, however, it was the RUSSIANS who took back Europe. I don't like it much either, but D-Day did NOT win the war - the Russians fought 80% of the German army by itself, whereas we only fought 20%. 1/5th of the Germans! We didn't do shit compared to the Russians, and they were the ones who took Berlin!

You saved no-one. Get over yourself.

  • @MedStud15 If you hadn't come and helped, the UK would be perfectly fucking fine. Google "Battle of Britain" you uneducated little shit. At the start of that battle we had just 665 serviceable fighters compared to Germany's 2,500, yet we utterly thrashed them. Ever heard of the Spitfire, you tit? Along with the Hurricane that plane annihilated the Luftwaffe. The Germans were broken, and Htiler called off any plans of invasion.

  • @MedStud15 In fact it is well-documented that there was a "palpable sense of relief" among German generals when the invasion of the UK was called off. The Germans could only muster 250,000 soldiers, whereas in the month of July that same year, 1 million additional Brits had signed up for the army.

  • @MedStud15 Then there was the British home fleet. The fleet guarding the UK utterly dwarfed Germany's and was much more powerful. When all the fleet was recalled (which was the plan if the invasion began), our navy would be no less than 4 times the size of Germany's entire navy, with more battleships and bigger guns.

Look it up - even with German air superiority, the UK was still strategically IMPOSSIBLE to invade.

  • @MedStud15 And again, look at the Russian effort. They swept aside 80% of Germany's army and never lost momentum. They had so many troops they would've taken on the other 20% with ease as well. You did nothing compared to them - or us.

Russia won WW2, and Britain saved itself.

  • @MedStud15 As I said, you utter tool, it is FINE for people to use an abbreviation for somewhere they work and live etc. IN THEIR OWN CIRCLES. When it comes to using it on an international community however, they should not use it so lightly as it is UNDENIABLY CONFUSING. If it was amongst those who know what it means then fine, but when putting it out to everyone on youtube, most of which are not American, you should NOT use such an abbreviation regardless to your attachment to the place.

  • @MedStud15 So yes, idiots like the owner of this video using an abbreviation to refer to somewhere that they live, work, study, and play on an international community and outside their own circles is WRONG because it is also the abbreviation for a country, one which is entirely synonymous with said abbreviation among 99% of the population of the world.

  • @MedStud15 Among themselves, it is fine. When using the abbreviation amongst an international community however, where hardly any will have even heard of the university, it will result in countless people being misdirected and confused, a fact backed up by the previous 2 top-liked comments with hundreds of "likes" between them and a considerable number of other comments if you care to skim through some of them.

It is undeniably confusing, and therefore is undeniably wrong to use.

  • @MedStud15 So it doesn't matter if they live, work, study and play there; fuck, it doesn't matter if they're born and die there. They CANNOT use the acronym on international communities which rely on searches, because this shit gets dragged up and is undeniably confusing, frustrating and annoying.

Regardless of what attachment someone might have to the place, the abbreviation "UK" should not be used in this situation as it is synonymous with the powerful and important nation of 62 million.

  • @MedStud15 Well ACTUALLY, if you want to get technical, the UK is STILL older than the US since the term "UK" has been around since 1707 to describe the "United Kingdom of Great Britain". It was only in 1801 that Ireland was added - so the UK has been around since 1707.

  • @MedStud15 But I'm sorry, what the fuck is your point? Perhaps the most irrelevant point I've ever read!

    1. The UK is STILL older than the US for reasons I've just mentioned.

    2. The history of the UK also includes history prior to the union - the term "UK" itself may refer to the union in 1707 and beyond, but the constituent countries still have histories stretching back thousands of years. Thus my country has a longer history whichever way you think of it.

  • @MedStud15 2. (cont.) I mean, the EU's only been around since the 50's, but you wouldn't say that the countries within that only have a history stretching back to the 50's now would you? The organisation itself may be young, but the histories of the countries which it consists of are still much, much older.

    3. Even if the US was older than the UK (which it isn't), SO FUCKING WHAT? In what way could my argument POSSIBLY be invalid because of that? It certainly wasn't invalid before either.

  • @MedStud15 3. (cont.) Seriously, even if the US was older than the UK, it changes nothing. For a start we're still more historically important, but either way this has no bearing on the argument at hand. The UK could have been formed half an hour ago on a whim and it would STILL be vastly more important than your shit university, and you would STILL be an idiot for using it and defending its use in such a manner where it is so very fucking confusing.

So my argument is still undeniably valid.

  • Comment removed

  • @MedStud15 And actually, no - you're not even remotely close to being as special as us. This is the greatest university on the entire planet, bar none. We've invented everything under the sun, influenced every nation in the world to no end, changed the face of civilisation. We've had more military success than anyone since the mongols, a greater empire than any nation in history. We've done more and achieved more than anyone before or since.

  • @MedStud15 What stellar achievements can you really claim to? No, seriously - what have you done that can truly compare to us? To sum up, you weren't anywhere near as important in WW2 as Russia or even Britain yet you claim you won the war, you manage to get into space second yet you claim you won the space race, you invent almost nothing yet you claim to have invented almost everything.

  • @MedStud15 You are nation that achieves very little itself, so decides to steal the achievements of others. Those few achievements which are your own, e.g. landing on the moon, are little more than mere improvements of something that someone else has achieved before you (in this case, the Russians getting the first object in space, first satellite in space, first animal in space and first person in space). Beyond that, you have some good films.

You are nothing compared to us.

  • @MedStud15 lol, you hypocrite. Learn to use a search engine better yourself - remember how you claimed that your shit university came up before this great country, hm? Try and think before you type.

And exactly, 78% of people on youtube are NOT American so again, using this abbreviation is undeniably confusing and stupid on those statistics alone.

  • @MedStud15 lol, fail. YOU'RE kidding yourself if you think that 99% of Americans searching for "UK" aren't looking for the UK. Again, 99% of Americans will be looking for the land which spawned them and their entire country, the land that shaped the world more than anyone since the Ancient Greeks, the land of the Queen and The Beatles, Harry Potter, Shakespeare, Robin Hood, and James Bond. Not some shit university.

  • @MedStud15 Seriously, are you this fucking dumb? Really??

"22% of youtube traffic comes from the USA" followed by "Considering America has far more people than the UK, its a safe assumption that most people who type in UK are looking for the university"

Considering that there are more people OUTSIDE the US on here, it's a safe assumption that most people searching for "UK" will be looking for the UK, not your shit university.

  • @MedStud15 And again - with almost 4 times as many people here not being American, and with no-one outside the US even knowing of the existence of your crap uni, it is safe to assume that the vast majority of people searching for "UK" will be looking for the UK, not university of Kentucky.

  • @MedStud15 Oh, and considering how incredibly important the UK has proven to be throughout history, the vast majority of AMERICANS will be looking for the UK and not university of Kentucky when searching for "UK". Population has nothing to do with it - the fact that the UK is INFINITELY more important and well-known than your university, even within America and EVEN within the state of Kentucky, leaves it safe to assume that people will be looking for the UK and not the university.

  • @MedStud15 Seriously though. This is the country that spawned you, the country from which you derive your entire culture. It's the country that you fought against for independence This is the country with the strongest currency, the country that is the financial capital. It's the country with London, posh English/cockney accents, Robin Hood, King Arthur, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Queen, James Bond, Harry Potter. You fought with us in WW2, Iraq, Afghanistan.

    We are synonymous with "UK".

  • @MedStud I find it hilarious that you think people would be searching for your craptastic university instead of the country that has done more for this world than yours ever has. I can guarentee that if you asked "what does the abbreviation 'UK' mean to you", almost every American will cite the country before they even think of the university. In fact, I would say that the same would be true even in Kentucky - the abbreviation is synonymous with the country. Everything is is entirely secondary.

  • @MedStud15 Consider that the group of people who have need or want to search for the UK (pretty much all of you) VASTLY outnumbers those who have need to look for the university.

  • @MedStud15 Also, consider the fact that you're an idiot for thinking that in the first place. No, there are not 62 million people in the US who have need to search for the university of Kentucky. 20% of the US does NOT have need to search for a uni that is 129th in the US and not even top 500 in the world.

  • @MedStud15 The people who have any need to search for your university is minimal. 30,000 current students and family, prospective students and a few hundred thousand past alumni. The alumni make up 90% of that, but FEW - very few indeed - have any need to search for it, nor much desire to after a few years.

The UK though? Incredibly historically important, the country that spawned you and your culture, the country that you fought against for independence and continue to fight with now.

  • @MedStud15 The number of people who have any need to search for the university of Kentucky is small, and utterly dwarfed by the population of my country. Not only that, but with the UK at the forefront of most of the world's events, one of the most important countries in history, the country that influenced much of THEIR history or even created them (e.g. Canada, Australia) and with many more considering studying here, EVERYONE outside of the US - 78% - would be looking for the UK.

  • @MedStud15 Also, consider this. The title says "UK students". There are 27,000 students in the university of Kentucky - there are hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of students in the UK. There are millions more in terms of alumni, prospective students, employees and related families also, many of which are from overseas.

There are many millions more people who would need to search for UK students than university of Kentucky students. Your argument is idiotic to the extreme.

  • @MedStud15 lol, wrong again, my computer-illiterate friend. Seriously, learn to use a fucking search engine - there are 21 million hits for "university of Kentucky", whereas a search for "the United Kingdom" yields 2.9 BILLION hits.

Oh, and when you google UK, guess what comes first? That's right, the United Kingdom. The exact same is true with yahoo!, bing, AskJeeves, youtube, wikipedia and EVERY OTHER SEARCH ENGINE YOU CAN FIND.

  • So I will say it again. My country historically has had more importance than yours, has influenced the world far more and continues to be a much greater country in most respects. It has been supremely important in not only world history but incredibly important in YOUR history, creating the US itself and almost all of your culture and traditions. It continues to be very important, has had massive cultural influence and has been at the forefront of world events for a millennia.

  • @MedStud15 The abbreviation "UK" is utterly synonymous with the country, not only in the UK but in every single country in the world, not least your own. The UK is one of the closest countries to the US, one of its greatest allies and a country that the American people are more fond of than any other. Our achievements, music, literature, cities, and famous figures both real and fiction (etc. etc.) are tremendously well known to Americans.

  • @MedStud15 The fact that we fought against you for your independence, and with you in both world wars and your recent forrays into Iraq and Afghanistan, have even further cemented my country into your populace's consciousness. The abbreviation "UK" is synonymous with the country, not only amongst its own population or surrounding countries, but among every single last nation in the world - including yours. When someone says "UK", the whole world immediately thinks of the United Kingdom.

  • @MedStud15 Therefore, it is an undeniable fact that, not only in the rest of the world but the US as well, 99% of the people searching for "UK" will be looking for the UK, and NOT some poxy, unimportant, middle-of-the-road American university that is a mere 129th in the US and not even top 500 in the world. This point is further reinforced by the fact that every website featuring a search engine (not least this one) yields results related to the UK when a search for "UK" is performed.

  • @MedStud15 In conclusion, you are a fucking idiot of monumental proportions. Every single last thing you have said is both moronic and wrong. You are the exact reason why Americans are thought of as ignorant, arrogant and stupid, and are the exact reason why your country is hated.

You are not half as special as you think you are, nor are you the greatest nation in the world let alone in history. You need to be put in your place, for you are as mediocre as this university.

    Now shit off.

  • For the record, idiotic and incorrect responses such as "well the UK is shit" is why people get fed up of Americans.

Get over yourselves, you're not half as special as you think you are.

  • rainstars, if you're talking to me, you're a wankstain.

  • you have nothing to do insteal of this shit?? after they gonna cry because aint no money aint no job! stupid prick! you better go to the army
