  • As someone who as driven BMW and all the other sport sedan cars i still prefer the CTS with its rear wheel drive and the 3.6 it may not be a BMW or any other car but I know i get more enjoyment out of it and the competitors are over priced and need the dealer for every little thing

  • look at my cts vs 300c

  • I would like to see all you CTS haters when it comes time to do anything like oil changes or something simple. Leave it to the Germans to make you buy crazy tools and parts to do very simple things.

Then again, you probably don't change your own oil or tires, do you?

Besides, I would rather spend my money on a car who's engineering is located in my own country.

  • push that sport mode button! :)

  • why is like every cadillac video i go to a hatefest. who gives a fuck if your 330i is faster than this, go watch 330i videos and dont hate on the CTS. id take this CTS over any comparing luxury sport sedan honestly, i like cadillacs. i watch bmw and audi and other car videos but i dont go around saying my shits the best, to me it is tho

  • sport mode engaged, that's what i'm talking about.

i love the sport mode in my 2004 3.6L.

  • HOW BADASS HUH? YEEEH

  • mm gorgeous, i love this sound in mine <3

  • What? My 2006 Bmw 330i will do 0-60 in 6 seconds with a 3.0 liter

  • @chris000089 ha, and how much did that BMW cost brand new? How much value will your 3 series hold? Yea, thought so. And I'm one of them who LIKES bmw.

  • @FiredUpZ28 $43,000 new. The value holds much better than any American car, in fact, even better than any Japanese brand excluding Honda. You don't know what you're talking about. Sorry, pal. Yeah I thought so.

  • the sport mode is great .. when i'm with my grandma we will turn hers on .. i had to read the manual to figure out exactly what it does .

we turned it on .. we both notice the difference in faster gear shifting .

  • @itisian I agree, I really like the "Sport Mode" option on my CTS.

One thing to keep in mind, is that 5th gear doesn't work in sport mode.

  • @alnebular , fifth gear doesn't work ? i think we've went as fast as we can go .. and i counted the shifts .. four as i recall . hmm , you're right . thanks for telling me ! you learn something new everyday . and yeah , the sport mode is great . fun in the sun , if you ask me . what year is your CTS ?

  • you should have turned the traction control off. Hint: its in the glove box

  • @maybach6536 Good point.! Most CTS drivers don't know about this...

  • @maybach6536 i have a traction control key I can program onto my screen in the center. Isnt that just as good?

  • @TimD106 yes it does exactly the same thing that is fine thats what i do so i don't have to go into the glove box

  • cashw55. ur a dumbass this car is fast as hell ur just hatin cuz u got a mustang or sometin

  • wow i have an 07 and we got 6.3 secs but between 1st and 2nd it shifts weirdly idk my dads a mechanic he check the prob

  • cashw55. You are Stupid.

  • I'm not the guy who put up a video of a slow car.

  • thats slow a 1.6 liter can do 0-60 in 7 seconds. A 2 liter can do it in 6 seconds, but for an american car I guess a 3.6 doing it in 6.5 secs is good.

  • hope you are kidding. its not making any sense. put that 2(probably talk about some kind of civic engine,k20) liter in that big car and see what happen.

  • If I needed a car that big Id buy a BMW 535d so I could get 50 mpg and do 0-60 in 6 seconds. It would be able to corner and wouldn't have dash that looks like it belongs in a old Ford Fiesta. Every Country knows that Cadillac sucks, its just the over patriotic Americans that don't want to admit they can't build cars.

  • @cashw55 dude what country are you from move to japan eat rice and get over it. Have even sat in a cts. Probably not. So go lick some japanese ass u are certainly kissing it..

  • @Bradmotherfolker BMW is German. I have not said anything positive about Japanese cars, Im not licking ass. I only stated that I don't think the cts is a good car.

  • loll seems you know alot loll cant stop laughing. I like those kind of comments with non sense. You know what, an F-16 can go much faster you knew that? We dont give a fuck about your 1.6 or 2 liter freakin jap vagina tech engine. You knew that? Rice

  • Seems to of annoyed you. I've pulled a string. The rest of the world don't give a shit about Cadillacs.

  • Nah you did not annoyed me, I just love to speak with ricers. You got a coke can on it? Helicopter wing to get more hp's? Sorry for the author of this vid I dont like to get out of the videos subject. Good vid on the way nice Cadi.

  • I don't own a Japanese car and never have.

  • @cashw55 kill urself please Cadillac is just as good as any BMW or any company u think is better ur trash :)

  • Thats proof, good argument.

  • @cashw55 I agee, even though your comments are childish and uninformed, we should not ask you to do the world a favor and commit suicide. BTW, what car (using your infinite knowledge) do you drive? My guess is nothing special and you get you info while surfing the internet with you pants down around your ankles.

  • If your talking about a normally aspirated engine well you have to take in account size. Sure a small sports car weighing around 3000lbs no problem but a full size sedan...come on.

  • Yeah right, 0-60 in 8.5 secs not 6.5 dude. Mu 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora is faster at 7.5 secs!!!!

  • I always run 7 or less in my 3.2 which is slightly modded, so I'm sure he could run 6.5 in the 3.6. The Aurora is a nice car though.

  • no offense, but the new jeep thats coming out soon late 2010 is gonna be able to do better than that also comes with a 3.6 liter engine.

  • dude,this is fast

  • Acura - did you buy put a wing on it yet? Yo, yo, yo, check my TSX dawg; got the R-type kajiyama tec engine and it's dope. I'll run your crap over with my Dodge truck you worthless ricer no pride having sell-out. We roll American in the South because we love our country. You buy Jap and you are a sell-out; straight-up sell-out: no two ways about it.

  • I ll race you for ownerships to your truck if its new enough and i have a stock jap engine N/A 0.6 liter

  • In all honesty, isn't have a mexican building your American truck a bit selling out as well?

Just curious. It's kind of funny that Toyota has a plant in Texas and Ford has a plant in mexico. lol

  • In all honesty, no it's not. Mexicans will end up here anyways, might as well give em something to do in their own land so we won't have to worry about the health care and literacy and social security and welfare and all that shit. I say it's worth every penny to pay a Mexican to do it in their own country.

And we get our cars cheaper too. HA!

Ford and Toyota are global firms. Having a Toyota plant in Texas is no different to Japs than Ford having a plant in Mexico is to us.

  • LOL!!!!!

DId not even think about that.

Keeping them in their own country! That is a good one haha thanks for making my day. No sarcasm that really did haha

  • No seriously what do you think we give them to do when they come up here?

Same god damn thing man. We might as well save ourselves some trouble and let them do it over there.

  • haha thank you for putting it into better perspective for me.

  • np bro

  • haha no problem man.

  • You do realize the Big3 employ 489,758 Americans, and Non-Big3 companies (including non-Japanese car companies, but apparently not including Honda of Mexico, Hyundai, Subaru, and Mercedes-Benz) currently employ 115,828 (up 27,183 since 2000).

  • That is cool but what is cooler is when you support your own car companies.

Girlfriends Dad just bought a 2010 Camaro SS and my girl is a getting a 2010 Denali with the 6.2. FUCK YEAH!!!!!

sorry I literally just found that out so I am super happy ahaha

  • No, I'm saying buy AMERICAN!

That other guy was like hurdur America has a plant in Meixco hurdurrrrr.

and i was like bitch stfu

  • Yah they only buy American. They own a Saturn, pontiac, silverado SS, and a 79 Stingray. My family used to only buy American, but my Dad got into a horrible Motorcycle wreck and thought he deserved a nice new Mercedes which he bought. After that, he got a job 2 hours 1 way away, and this is only when they had crappy honda electric cars so he bought a Prius for gas purposes. I believe in supporting our economy but imports are like drugs! Very high temptation levels.

  • how badass

  • our 03 cts can get from 0-60mph in about 7 seconds w/ 111,000 miles on it....now thats bad ass, but i still like this vid

  • Nice commentary, lol.

  • yeah yeah i know haha

  • well nobody cares how you timed it. 0-60 in 6.6 seconds according to road and track

  • wrong.. CTS's of this year were in the 6.5-6.8 range which is ALOT faster then the boring, no torque having TSX's.. and try around 26 mpg highway for the CTS.

  • Why the fuck would anyone want an Acura you tosser. I hope you die for being so stupid.

  • we drive a 2000 acura rl with a 3.5 v6 and hits 60 in 7 sec with 76,000 miles on it FAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol 7 seconds, that is hopeless, anything with a 3.5 v6 that is at least 8-10 years old can hit 7 seconds. Get over yourself

  • I change the oil every 3 months or 3000 miles. I have timed myself to 60 during the winter and the summer in sport mode and the times are pretty consistent. 8.3-8.5 seconds. I got the car from my dads cousin when it had 22000 miles on it. I have inspected the engine compartment and the air filter needs to be changed but I noticed that the plastic bolt covers on top of the intake are missing, probably some type of work. Maybe what ever was done to it is the reason it is not pulling like it should

  • My transmission went out at 49k.

  • my CTS is soooo annoying, whenever you put it into D or R there is a HUGE jerk

  • you may need transmission fluid.

of not you should have it checked

  • it's definitely not the tranny fluid, my car is the company car....which means I pay for NOTHING...gas, maintenance and depreciation is paid by the company...I read on another review that it's just that the shift gates lack refinement...but it's free at least :)

  • lol u lucky

  • yea, i'm lucky to have a free car but I wish it was a BMW or something :)

  • lol dude you sound funny

  • yeah yeah yeah, i was just havin fun

  • lol yea i kno how it is

  • Comment removed

  • i think they recommend it yes. but ever since gas went up, it has been run on regular just fine

  • 4 matic lol i see u everywere man wtf lool and i also have a 2007 cadillac cts 3.6 lol

  • I have the 3.2 and it takes 8.3 seconds for it to get to 60. Does that sound wrong?

  • Well it's probably because you aren't in the best conditions. Some reviews rate the 3.2 at 0-60 in 6.9, but you should be able to achieve that. Make sure your sport mode is on and before you floor the throttle have your foot on the brake, raise the rpms to about 1500 or 2000 and then quickly take your foot off the brake and jam it. You should get better times using that method.

  • my dad has a cts. damn it has a fast engine

  • The car looks sharp and pearl white is a nice colour...enjoy it and take care of it.

  • My dad has the same car...I've driven it and I find it pretty quick...assuming that your friend didn't mistreat it and maintained it properly it should be good...but you need to take it for a test drive and find out for yourself. A couple reviews put 0-60 at around 7 seconds for the 2.8

  • More like 7 seconds, but that's still decently quick.

  • This is true, I work for a Suzuki dealership, who also sells the GMC Acadia, they are both one and the same! I get to work on them daily, and they are very similar.

  • they used a barrel of crude oil for all the plastic in the interior

  • sadly i have to agree. The interior of this car is shit. The 08 is much better where the only thing plastic in the car is the back of the front seats so little kids don't mess them up.

  • the new cts is really nice the seats are more comfortable than the g35 and it sounds pretty nice

  • Yeah I was surprised on how nice it sounded for a V6. The fact that the displacement is so big probably has a lot to do with it though.

  • The whole GM 60degree V6 family of engines sound great. The old cavaliers with the 3.1L sounded even meaner than this.

  • i love to rev this thing through the gears, it has this perfect pitch especially high in the rpm's. i wish that someone did performance products for this style motor and car. a made turbo would be great on this piece

  • GM does rule, but that's most certainly a Suzuki engine.

    Look it up...

  • The 3.6 is related to the holden family of engines... its used in all sorts of vehicles , including suzukis, and alfa romeo even uses a variant of it.

  • yeah it runs a 3.42 rear, the LY7 V6, and the 5L40-E auto which is only supposed to handle 250 ft-lbs, but the LY7 puts out 252. The reason some of these cts' have tranny problems? Quite possibly :)

  • oh ok thanks...im pretty sure that engine is related to the alloytecs in the holden commodores?

  • Actually I think that the 3.6 is in its own family, called the High Value V6. Check the internets :)

  • The 3.6 is a Suzuki engine. ;)

  • does the cts run the 5L40-E auto??
