Raw Video: Indonesian Dam Bursts, Dozens Dead

The "Situ Gintung" dam in Indonesia burst on March 27, 2009. At least 98 people died as a result. It was an earthen dam, which was built by the Dutch in 1933 to provide irrigation water for rice paddies (which were subsequently replaced by housing).  The dam had leaked in November 2008. It's hard for me to see something like this, and I can only bare witness on how helpless I am. I want to do something to help them in some way, but I know for a fact that I cant do anything about it. I guess life is meant to be this way, and if they weren't then the dam wouldnt have burst. This world sucks! Rilmam2new is right it was the system the government had, they used fear of communist and Chinese, the rich got more rich and the poor got more poor, the system was broken and the people in frustration rebelled. good came from the destruction, a new system was set up and for the first time the people had direct free elections in 2004 and voted SBY as president. Indonesia is only nation to get democracy award given in 2007 by the IAPC

Yes God has a reason for all that he does. All those sad events you mentioned were chastisements with the purpose of bringing his people back into submission once again. The Jewish Holocaust taught the Jews to be humble.

As far as the American Indians were concerned all they needed to do is to ask Jesus to be their Lord and Saviour and he would have spared them their fate.

it was not funny sir, people lost there families there friends and loved ones. my wife works close to this village at a hospital, alhamduillah we had no friends or family that were effected by this, but others were not so lucky. its not something to joke about
