I'm sorry, that really sucks :( I know how ya feel :( I was on a trail ride with one of my barrel horses and her back legs have in (she had arthritis) (she was an older horse) and she rolled over me twice as we rolled down a hill, she hit a tree and i hit her,,, I broke my leg, and broke 3 rib bones IT SUCKS :( Not fun at all! I hope your feeling better :)
I use a crop on my palomino quarter horse when doing huntseat and or show hack. or when im jumping.. my horse doesnt flip out or even flinch when he sees it. its just a little tap to let him know to move his shoulders . or speed up. he doesnt mind it at all. you guys need to stop putting hurtful coments on here realize that at that young age riders usually blame the horse and never ride again. But she blamed herself and rode him for 30 extra minuites. thats a legend in the making.
@KrystalIceStudios yeah but im sure u know how to use it. Giving a beginer an whip and telling them to tap the horse doesnt seem like a good idea. Just cuz ur horse doesnt freak doesnt mean others dont, Mine does idk y but he is petrafyed of them and if u cant get you horse to w/t/c/g with out spurs or a whip then somethings wrong. I can get my horse to do all that just by siting forward and clucking, it might take like 5 or 6 mintues but he does eventuly gallop
ok folks just think this is great, but what the h... is the trainer doing in the middle, letting her sitting with reins allover the place, arms up and down, and on top a bigass whip, no need for a whip, but if so, use it right, its in the wrong hand, hitting the horse in ass, no wonder it bucks.
If you look in his eyes, he is sorry for the world, Same for yours, in the end, i will be a great joke to tell to friends, and Stiltz, This is the good proof between Horse and Human. :)
i know how you feel(: i have a wild mustang/ standerdbred .... i was told he was kid friendly.. he bucked me off and i broke my leg and arm. i laid in the hospital through 3 surgeries ... it sucked .... but i couldnt wait to get back on.. i had to get rid of him tho and now im horse less again :/ </3 dude
Whooooa. You got back on the horse with a broken leg? That's pretty hardcore, and I applaud your bravery, but I think you shoulda gotten it looked at, so as not to worsen the injury! I'm glad you're doing okay and you didn't lose your nerve or your love of horses from it!
I know how you feel. I have 3 horses my self. My friend and i were riding once and my friend took a bad fall on my biggest horse Blaze, Blaze landed on her and she was hurt. Almost had a concetion. Thankfully no broken bones! I Think your a real cowgirl for getting back on :)
I know how you feel. I was galloping my horse back in September and had a bad fall. Broke a bone in my knee and I haven't been allowed to ride since. I do get to start again tomorrow!
@Screamingnightmares . My trainer had me do that too , but only once I had been riding long enough to be coordinated , and balanced enough to handle the horse , and properly ride at the same time. Also it can unseat you (bounce) more if you haven't gotten your proper rhythm yet. Which can be uncomfortable for both you and the horse . :)
your horse is skinny did you know that i ant yelling at you but how long have you had him my horse got skinny once when we jst got him if youve had him for a long time and he is not over the age of 10 than he is way to skinny for his age!
It looks like you havent been riding for the longest time , so why are you only using one hand on the reins ? That can really throw off your balance, especially at the canter. But other than that , good riding , and it's nice to see you out there with him even with your cast on :)
Some trainers use the one arm on the reins as a tool to help you balance. My trainer would have some of the more experienced girls riding without stirrups and jumping one handed. I of course don't know her certain situation, but that's what I'm assuming.
One time i broke my hand and wasnt able to ride for 4 months (my parents and doctor wouldnt budge to let me). and i stayed off so long that i stayed off an extra 2 months b-cuz i had just gotten out off riding. now i ride as much as i can.
Oh come on, give the girl a break. We were all there at one point. You don't just get on a horse and become an Olympic rider. Things like what happened in this video are what makes you a better rider later.
I know how it feels to fall and break a bone. I broke 2 parts of 1 bone in my wrist. I fell while hiking. Not on a horse because I dont like on a farm, and have horses like I want to. I bet that hurt!
OK I've just gatta say... Horses are like magic! I once thought: "hmm... This horse hasn't tried to go to my teacher yet!" as soon as i thoght that he tried to go!
I know how it feels my pony Charlie Brown bucks me off all the time i never broke anything though... Ur a great rider with good posture and amazin ridin skills im glad u got up im sorry u broke ur foot hope u ride again!!
Now don't get me wrong, I am not critisiing in any way. But I think you are riding western. You were holding you reins at your hip. You probably lost you balance and control then tumbled,
Ouch, my mom just bought me horse 4 days ago, she was supposed to be dead broke. She let me rub all over her, clean her hoofs, and brush her, she just stood there. But, my other horse din't like her. So, while my sister was riding her, she was doing great, till my other horse started pinning her ears and neighed through the fence. My sister got bucked oof, almost kicked in the face, and broke her tailbone in 2 places. Now she can't ride again till next summer.
Sorry you got hurt, but you were riding way behind the motion and just flopping along on his back like a ragdoll. you need to have a more secure seat before you go "tapping" a horse with a crop!
I know how you feel I broke both bones in my right arm it hurt like #$%@ I could not do much of anything. It was 5 or so years back my arm is still bent from it.
Awww Im sorry!! I know how it feels, I broke my left wrist falling off 1 week before my bday, that was almost 2yrs ago, though! I hope you are back to riding, and that your ankle doesnt bother you again.
Can i just say something why does the horse look scared to death when your petting him in his paddock....................he looks like hes ready to go nip you............i think the whip was making the horse mad
@srullyw9 These wars are the result of Jesuit interference into countries whose main occupation constitutes undermining any government or leader which they do not want and to place into power a government and leaders who will cooperate with them and their designs. These designs are to culminate the complete and absolute despotic rule of the Vatican and her unholy canon law including the institutionalization of the "mark of our authority", the spurious papal Sunday sabbath.
@jeffreyRAWKS12798 I don't think she meant it that way, just that it's a young girl...and normally after a young girl takes a hard fall like that, they're done with horses. Sad, but true.
@AmberElaine0824 Yeah, I know. But when you think about it, if they're so easily put out by something like that, wouldn't they eventually lose interest anyway? Or, if not that, they'd just be one of those kids who does shows 24/7 and hardly even cares about the horse. I know I'm generalizing a lot, but that's what I see from most of those kinds of people.
i boke my leg from tripping over a dog, everyone thought it was from falling off a horse but no. i broke my tibia and fibula but i snapped my tibia off the growth plae and took 12 weeks for it to heal, and it is still saw after a year and a 1/2. i cant jump off a horse like normal i need help or on to a wall or crate, i know what it feels like :) my first ride after was bareback, on my first bareback trail ride, it was great :)
@TheMeanKittylover2 I ride english and sometimes when my horse gets lazy use the whip. It isnt abuse it is to get the horse started. Excuse me but you are wrong the whip is no torchure tool, u basially tap the horse's hind with it to get it at a pace you want it to be in. It doest hurt the horse, for at least the way i do it i dont hurt my horse. It wasnt karma it happened because it happened.
@widqeasha :You have no idea what you are talking about. First of all, it is called a crop, not a whip, so don't comment on horse videos if you have no experience with horses. And you obviously don't know what a crop is used for...It's made for tapping the horse's hindquarters and shoulders. She was very well balanced and riding extremely well, so you need to get a life. Kthanks. But I'm so sorry about your fall! You are an excellent rider! I hope you had a great recovery and you are riding again
OH YA! thats a real horse girl! get out and go see your horse with a broken foot! i got 20 stitches in my foot and got out to see my horse 10 hours later
GUYS! IF YOU REALLY SAW THE VIDEO, YOU SAW THE TRAINER!!!! THE TRAINER WOULD NOT HAVE HER BEATING THE HORSE! SHE WASNT BEATING THE HORSE EITHER! IF IT WAS HER FAULT SHE FELL, HER TRAINER WOULD HAVE HELPED HE BY TELLING HER WHAT IT WAS BEFORE SHE FELL! WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE POSTING STUPID COMMENTS!
hey dont feel bad, i came flying off a running saddlebred (lol) but ask ur parents if they can just sit u up on him bareback, if you dont get back on him the fear will set in, trust mme i didnt want to get on the horse that threw me but my dad made me and 9 years later im where im at now :)
dont know why you hit your horse? you shouldn't even carry a whip. do you need someone to whip you to make you walk, run etc? if you treat an animal kindly and properly, learn its language, you dont need to hit it. maybe you breaking your leg is karma.
@widgeasha Some horses DO need slight encouragement to go faster. They're lazy just like a lot of people. Im not saying you should beat the life out of them but a little tap once in a while is 100% fine.
@widgeasha some horses need crop to keep moving but i get where ur coming from she was hitting him with it overusing the crop. that horse seemed really froward that a crop seemed unnecessary. she was really good rider though for her age staying on through that strong canter. i know what it feels like to to break/ sprain something and waiting to ride..it sucks!!!!!!
@widgeasha Actually she wasn't hitting her horse she was tapping. & its a crop NOT a whip, their different. & crops are made to TAP a horse to get it going, she WASN'T hitting her horse. Its not treating a horse badly its a replacement for the leg if the horse wont respond anymore. If you just sit there kicking the horse to get it to go it loses all its purpose the horse will just completely stop responding to the leg Learn a lil bout the crop b4 you talk shit. & its not karma it just happens!!
why are you holding a crop?? for a western horse he's going a little speedy and it probably didnt help that you were flinging a crop in his face, but thats the trainers fault not your, you did an awsome job getting back on!
@oXHalfMoonBayXo shes actually going a little slow for a western canter, cause i used to do western, and maybe she wanted him to go into a more strided out canter? cause maybe your right it might be a little fast but im riding a friends horse who is a western horse im teaching him english and hes got a big stride which makes him fast but i make him go faster to get him to stride out. and i didnt even see her do anything wrong to fall. i dont understand how she fell but im with you 100%
this is one of the down sides of western riding, not saying its bad, its a great relaxed way to ride and bond with your horse but that loose relaxed bridle doesnt have the controled position as an english bridle, so when a horse makes a mistake you panic, as your bridle is very long you cant get the control you need :'( great riding by the way
@1002Lollipop That's why I wanna learn how to english ride, I can walk and jog on an english but I wanna go train to learn how to trot and canter and gallop on english, I did it on western though.
Awww I fell off last November braking my upper right arm. How? I was playing tag with my 2 teachers and barrel racing. Then took a sharp turn when the saddle slipped off. :'(
my dad has had much worse i have much worse and i think i would not want to give it up it ismy life and gets me through alot and no matter what that is what makes you the rider that always improves good job your horse looks exactly like mine
glad u got back on! i recently fell from a canter right into a fence and landed on my tailbone 5 days now still sore but right after i fell my instroucter (sp) helped me get back on but i didnt have stirups so it was harder
Depends on how bad your fall is really, I've landed on my feet quite a few times, fallen on to a 2' 6" jump and twisted my foot in the stirrup (It didn't hurt) and landed on my ass god knows how many times :') But one of my friends have, Cracked her ribs, fractured her wrist twice and she's been kicked in the head (The reason why you wear riding hats!) She mad a full recovery from everything and she's still riding! ^.^ One of the best riders I know.
@Guineapigluver13 It makes you a better rider :) Teaches you to keep your heels down, sit deep and straight and expected the unexpected, so really falling off is the best thing you could do xD oh and also riding diffcult horses too :)
Yes your a very good rider.(: I like it when people get back on after an accident. Shows they are strong and are dedicated to the horse and riding.(: Good for you! I'm glad you have recovered.
I'm sorry u ended up hurt. Two good tips that have sort off helped me. 1. If u think you're gonna feel, make a flying leap in towards the school! Lol and 2. Try to keep your crop/whip on the inside of the school, that way it won't catch the wall and spook the horse. Are you okay now?
im glad u arent one of those people who never ride again because they fall even if it was a really bad one my friend broke both her wrist at once and something else in one fall and that didnt even stop her
i know how it feels o tore legiments in my shoulder goat tieing at rodeo and didnt let it heal all the way the first time and trhough a football and tore it again it only hurts when u cant ride ♥
I hope you're better =) I've had professional training many years and my advice would be to try to get more control of your horse. Master trotting and posting first and then I would do all the canter. Close your knees so you can hold yourself better on the horse. The more you ride with getting lessons the better you will get. Good Luck =)
i broke my rist and last night i walked out to see her and she had to have felt bad because she nuzzeld me and nickerd to me softly as to say im really srry and i started to cry she just stood their and let me hug her
@soxy1998 i may not be the horse's owner, but neither are you, not every horse is the same, and if you do own horses which i doubt, they are completely different from her horse, you have no right to go around saying hurtful things like this! She fell off, from what i see it wasn't her fault it wasn't the horse's fault it was her being off balance and the horse making a move that when added to the off balance created a fall. It had nothing to do with her using the whip.
@soxy1998 you weren't riding the horse. I saw her whip it a total of one time. You don't know what happened so dont judge. falling of is not a bad thing. In fact, if you don't fall off, you don't ride enough!! Everyone has bad days. There being no reason she fell off is better than it being a result of something she did to hurt the horse. And there is always a good reason- even if it's just being off-balanced one day. No one's perfect, hun ;)
I love cantering! When I first went cantering on english, i broke my arm because i fell off. my friend, molly got bucked off. i feel bad for you, but i still love english and horses!!!
@movieaddictx2 If you notice, she's not in a show ring. If she feels she needs it for lessons at home, then so be it. Just because it's for english, doesn't mean it doesn't work on western horses. I personally never get on one of my horses (western) without a crop.
Awhh during your fall, maybe you went to fast round the corner? That always happens to me with my horse. Don't listen to all these twats giving you hate comments, you are a perfect, amazing rider and you should be very proud! :) x
wat happened to cause ur fall? it looked like u might havejust lost ur stirrup or something small like that. ppl need to leave her alone. she was doing really well and her balance wasnt that bad. she also wasnt beating the horse with the crop, she looked to just be brusheing/tapping it on the horses hind quaters. if thats abuse, then how the hell are u supposed to use a crop?
@davos1326 She was doing a nice canter! And if you didn't see beginning of the video, She was riding nearly flawless for her age. She wasn't beating him. Notice how he slows down turning a corner and sometimes a little rider need extra help to keep a horse going. So if you don't like her riding, don't post mean comments to a CHILD who had a terrible accident. She simply lost her balance at one corner. So don't be high and godly over a terrible accident to a little girl
I hope you had a great recovery and you are riding again

WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE POSTING STUPID COMMENTS!

maybe her trainer wanted her to hand gallop so thats why she used the crop thats probaly why!
MissEssie13 5 months ago
dont know why you hit your horse? you shouldn't even carry a whip. do you need someone to whip you to make you walk, run etc? if you treat an animal kindly and properly, learn its language, you dont need to hit it. maybe you breaking your leg is karma.
widgeasha 5 months ago 2
@widgeasha Some horses DO need slight encouragement to go faster. They're lazy just like a lot of people. Im not saying you should beat the life out of them but a little tap once in a while is 100% fine.
CHEVYedsf 5 months ago
@widgeasha some horses need crop to keep moving but i get where ur coming from she was hitting him with it overusing the crop. that horse seemed really froward that a crop seemed unnecessary. she was really good rider though for her age staying on through that strong canter. i know what it feels like to to break/ sprain something and waiting to ride..it sucks!!!!!!
Pinkitoes53 4 months ago
@widgeasha Actually she wasn't hitting her horse she was tapping. & its a crop NOT a whip, their different. & crops are made to TAP a horse to get it going, she WASN'T hitting her horse. Its not treating a horse badly its a replacement for the leg if the horse wont respond anymore. If you just sit there kicking the horse to get it to go it loses all its purpose the horse will just completely stop responding to the leg Learn a lil bout the crop b4 you talk shit. & its not karma it just happens!!

should you not have the whip in the inside hand?? not sure if english & western are the same haha xoxo

What song is this?
musicmusicmusiiic 5 months ago
why are you holding a crop?? for a western horse he's going a little speedy and it probably didnt help that you were flinging a crop in his face, but thats the trainers fault not your, you did an awsome job getting back on!
oXHalfMoonBayXo 5 months ago
@oXHalfMoonBayXo shes actually going a little slow for a western canter, cause i used to do western, and maybe she wanted him to go into a more strided out canter? cause maybe your right it might be a little fast but im riding a friends horse who is a western horse im teaching him english and hes got a big stride which makes him fast but i make him go faster to get him to stride out. and i didnt even see her do anything wrong to fall. i dont understand how she fell but im with you 100%

dreamera1 6 months ago
this is one of the down sides of western riding, not saying its bad, its a great relaxed way to ride and bond with your horse but that loose relaxed bridle doesnt have the controled position as an english bridle, so when a horse makes a mistake you panic, as your bridle is very long you cant get the control you need :'( great riding by the way
1002Lollipop 6 months ago
@1002Lollipop That's why I wanna learn how to english ride, I can walk and jog on an english but I wanna go train to learn how to trot and canter and gallop on english, I did it on western though.

Ouch i've been riding horses for a while and i haven't fell off yet... does it hurt when you fall?
Guineapigluver13 7 months ago
@Guineapigluver13

@mcr4eva645 xD I'm scared of falling now ><
Guineapigluver13 7 months ago
@Guineapigluver13 It makes you a better rider :) Teaches you to keep your heels down, sit deep and straight and expected the unexpected, so really falling off is the best thing you could do xD oh and also riding diffcult horses too :)

1997HighLander 8 months ago
I'm sorry u ended up hurt. Two good tips that have sort off helped me. 1. If u think you're gonna feel, make a flying leap in towards the school! Lol and 2. Try to keep your crop/whip on the inside of the school, that way it won't catch the wall and spook the horse. Are you okay now?
1997HighLander 8 months ago
im glad u arent one of those people who never ride again because they fall even if it was a really bad one my friend broke both her wrist at once and something else in one fall and that didnt even stop her

tateaverry 9 months ago
I hope you're better =) I've had professional training many years and my advice would be to try to get more control of your horse. Master trotting and posting first and then I would do all the canter. Close your knees so you can hold yourself better on the horse. The more you ride with getting lessons the better you will get. Good Luck =)

abcdogsabc 10 months ago
you had no reason to fall off, the horse was being very well behaved and u were wipping the horse far to much for how well it was going!!
soxy1998 10 months ago
@soxy1998 i may not be the horse's owner, but neither are you, not every horse is the same, and if you do own horses which i doubt, they are completely different from her horse, you have no right to go around saying hurtful things like this! She fell off, from what i see it wasn't her fault it wasn't the horse's fault it was her being off balance and the horse making a move that when added to the off balance created a fall. It had nothing to do with her using the whip.
kittyniegh 10 months ago
@soxy1998 you weren't riding the horse. I saw her whip it a total of one time. You don't know what happened so dont judge. falling of is not a bad thing. In fact, if you don't fall off, you don't ride enough!! Everyone has bad days. There being no reason she fell off is better than it being a result of something she did to hurt the horse. And there is always a good reason- even if it's just being off-balanced one day. No one's perfect, hun ;)

jennette4465 11 months ago
why were you using a crop? That's for English riding
movieaddictx2 11 months ago
@movieaddictx2 If you notice, she's not in a show ring. If she feels she needs it for lessons at home, then so be it. Just because it's for english, doesn't mean it doesn't work on western horses. I personally never get on one of my horses (western) without a crop.
snowballjet 10 months ago
Awhh during your fall, maybe you went to fast round the corner? That always happens to me with my horse. Don't listen to all these twats giving you hate comments, you are a perfect, amazing rider and you should be very proud! :) x
RavenstarTheWolf 11 months ago
wat happened to cause ur fall? it looked like u might havejust lost ur stirrup or something small like that. ppl need to leave her alone. she was doing really well and her balance wasnt that bad. she also wasnt beating the horse with the crop, she looked to just be brusheing/tapping it on the horses hind quaters. if thats abuse, then how the hell are u supposed to use a crop?

i had surgery on my legs and i couldnt ride for 3 months. now that sucks big time for me.
myahorning12 11 months ago
im gonna go with the crop you where beatng him with. you shouldnt of been running him that hard anyway, you had no balance. you will learn next time.
davos1326 11 months ago
@davos1326 F*** you leave her alone She had fine balance and she wasn't beating her she tapped him to go a little faster
22LowLow 11 months ago
@davos1326 She was doing a nice canter! And if you didn't see beginning of the video, She was riding nearly flawless for her age. She wasn't beating him. Notice how he slows down turning a corner and sometimes a little rider need extra help to keep a horse going. So if you don't like her riding, don't post mean comments to a CHILD who had a terrible accident. She simply lost her balance at one corner. So don't be high and godly over a terrible accident to a little girl
