@dwarflover63 I can assume that maybe in the case of Anthony he may have by chance been in the vicinity doing another film or whatever, and just grabbed, but still he could have sung as a crowd at the very least. I never really got that much either with Patinkin, funny you should mention it though me and my housemate been singing 'papa can you hear me' all day.

And I didn't recognize him. so now I'm also obsessed with The Rocky Show!! And Anthony sung Sweet Transvestite!!! This is so ... confusing. he's in everything I love... wow.. weird....
Anthony Head should've played Sweeney!!! Anthony can sing! Johnny Depp is a cash ticket though when paired with Tim Burton. I think that's the only reason they chose Depp. After all, it's not like he can sing.
@deannamarie63 Johnny Depp can sing, when he first came to Hollywood it was to pursue his singing career, but the music business wasn't good at that point so he changed to acting, but Anthony wasn't chosen for Sweeney because he didn't really fit the part, yes he can sing, and yes hes an amazing actor but he looked to old for the role, Sweeney Todd Is supposed to appear young but also old. i understand what your getting at but Johnny Depp did deserve the part.

Apparently, i remember this when i saw Stephen Sondheim speak in my home town that the ballads/group songs were going to be song by actors who would later be killed by Todd but things got mixed up in production and it was scratched (which Sondheim approved of) but Anthony was one of the actors to sing as well as Christopher Lee. Looks like Anthony still got a Cameo! DAMN I would have LOVED to hear him sing in Sweeney!
